  1. I think the show returns in October. IIRC the new season premieres last fall were in October. There's 47 teens and it still feels way less than that. Hopefully next season we get to know more of the teens instead of them just being redshirts and sheep.
  2. Yeah they couldn't even kill off Jasper because they fell in love with the actor so it would be shocking for me if they actually killed Finn or Bellamy characters they clearly care alot about.
  3. I don't think its fair to use the Network as an excuse for the writing. Finn and Bellamy aren't even standard CW hunks. I doubt the network would mandate that those two stay alive. Bellamy and Finn are no Damon and Stefan. Hell Finn really doesnt even seem to be that well liked fandom wise.
  4. Charlotte's death was not shocking. No one thought she would last after she murdered Wells. And while Wells death was shocking it was somewhat expected in a "the black guy is always the first to go" type of way.
  5. This show doesnt have the balls to kill their faves off so I'm sure Bellamy and Finn are perfectly fine.
  6. Well they brought back the type of bad music from the pilot to the finale. If Jasper can live through being speared directly in the chest( and later become a damn warrior) than Raven can survive a bullet to the spine. Clarke to Finn :I can't lose you again While Raven sits on the ground bleeding internally. I know the writers don't want us to be angry at Clarke at all in this lame triangle but scenes like that make me want Raven to snuff her in the face. I know they're outside in the forest but sometimes the dark lighting on this show gets on my nerves. Its like they don't want anyone to be able to see the scenes. The reapers coming out like a bunch of howler monkeys and attacking was downright comical when I'm sure they were supposed to be scary. I'm about tired of Clarke's back and forth ethics. She wanted to fry the grounders alive and when they start attacking Anya who came in knives fling to kill them she changes her mind. If its supposed to come across as noble it doesnt. What bs that Jaha stayed behind in space Kudos on having an ending that made me go WTF though. Because that ending was so out of left field.
  7. I found both Billy Miller and David Tom horrendous as Billy recently. I hate Lily with a burning passion and CK can't act worth a damn. I like Melissa Ordway as Abby though the months of obsessing over Mariah long before she was in town was annoying. I never bought Marcy/Emmy Rylan as the daughter of Ashley and Victor. I always hated the character of Chloe partially because EH was beyond miscast to me. I couldnt stand her constant smug looks and botoxed face. I never brought Chloe as a fashionista or a vixen. I hate Nikki Newman and was actually hoping Cricket would bitch slap her when she was constantly crying in Paul's arms over Dylan.
  8. The show is getting off track again by focusing on plot point violent acts for shock value and pushing some of their favorite actors. Every time the world building starts to get interesting they focus more on gun happy Jasper, or Murphy taking hostages, Finn's declarations of Lust or Dr. Clarke Medicine Woman(thanks System Remote) being the healer and all the random hookups. I want a clearer picture of the different Grounder tribes and their culture and survival techniques. I wanted a clearer view of society on The Ark but they gave up on that.
  9. Rewatched those scenes to try and figure out how Raven got shot. Did they forget there were highly flammable fuels lining where she was standing? I'm surprised she didnt explode. Ugh and Jasper was so annoying. All he did was spout crap about shooting and bombs while she was actually trying to rescue Bellamy.
  10. Yeah Finn confessing his love to Clarke was just so stupid considering its only been a few weeks and they really haven't gotten time to know each other. He moved on mighty fast from the reliable girl he's known his whole life to the girl who let him bone after less than a week. Not all teens believe sex=love and Finn is acting like a lovesick girl which he shouldn't be after all they've been through recently. Hopefully in season 2 they bring more of the remaining teens to the forefront as more than just redshirts. I'm tired of them just standing around like sheep. Someone needs to rise up and challenge Bellamy and Clarke's leadership. Maybe even break off into their own separate group. Those scenes with the Reapers were so dimly lit I had a hard time making out what was going on.
  11. I gave up sometime last last season on this show because I couldn't handle the stupidity and the badly filmed dance scenes weren't amazing enough to force myself to sit through this show. I watched this episode to see if this show was worth trying again because of the lack of show's on during the summer. It still bothers me that they act like being a professional cheerleader is a full time job that pays enough to live off of. And I never did get behind the way they through Aaasha and Derek together as a couple just because. It actually bothered me how stupid they write Aasha when she's a girl who went to college. She should at least have some smarts. She's way too naive and dumb. Not even Melanie on The Game was that naive. Aasha and Yelena are so miscast its ridiculous. Taylour Paige is just horrible. Logan Browning can not play a bad girl at all. She's supposed to be playing some conniving vixen but just comes off like a bitchy sorority girl. That sexy scene wasn't even close to being sexy or shocking.
  12. I would hope not especially when there are two black writers on the writing team.
  13. This episode felt like filler. It just dragged on and felt like a waste of time. Jasper annoys me so I was fine with Murphy threatening to kill him. Now the whole hostage situation during an impending attack was a dumb idea. Why try to hang Bellamy when there are people on their way to kill him anyway. I'm bummed they're already planning on taking The Ark out of space. There's so much they can do with the society in space. I was so happy Lincoln returned but so dissapointed he was risking his life for Finn and Clarke. Why did Jasper go back in on the Bellamy rescue mission after just being held hostage? Eliza's accent was heavily present in the last scene. Like she just dropped her neutral accent and started saying her lines in her real voice.
  14. Bellamy and Clarke aren't a good co-leader team either. He's not the smartest of the bunch nor the most compassionate and caring. His answer to everything is violence, violence, and more violence. Not that Clarke is much better as a leader. Her morals flip flop several times an episode. She also suffers from the same syndrome many of the current YA leads suffer from. She's overly special and perfect. The show seems to go out of their way to tell us she's bad ass instead of her actions speaking for themselves. She's the wise and noble leader who can heal anyone. The guys jump up to defend her, protect her, etc. And there's no female on the show that's a "real" threat to her. To me there's nothing about Clarke so far that sets her apart from most of the female leads in YA.
  15. How simple is it to create birth control in space though? This is the same society that wanted to float a doctor for using "too many medical supplies".
  16. I really don't think airing midseason is the reason its been steady in the ratings this spring. Usually CW midseason shows flop big time. I think the premise had more to do with it attracting an audience. The show is Hunger Games esque and there's no other YA dystopian shows on TV at the moment. I think it will actually do even better in the fall when there's a larger audience available.
  17. A mix up like this is just damn near impossible partly because sperm banks and OB/GYN offices are not in the same place. It costs a lot of money to get pregnant via insemination so they aren't about to take a chance on mixing that up with a pap smear. That doesn't even get into all the beforehand prep they do. They didn't consider this at all when the greenlit the concept. I do hope Gina Rodriguez finds a better show after this. She really is talented.
  18. Its not a summer show though. This season it was a mid season show airing in spring and next season it will air in the fall.
  19. Oh I have no interest in any baby stories I'm just making a point that they wouldn't necessarily worry about administering birth control to the teen population nor would they have to segregate genders(which would be fairly difficult in such close confinement) to enforce strict rules about pre marital sex.
  20. We have seen them control their teens behavior. Or at least attempt to control them. Which is why some of the teens ended up jailed for minuscule things. But there's no way you can ever full control an entire populations behavior. We havent seen an example of it but they could very well just jail pregnant teens.
  21. You're making the assumption that they distribute birth control to teens on the Ark. We don't know enough about their society to make that assumption.
  22. Why do people keep saying Octavia is the mostly likely to get pregnant? If anything Bellamy should be the first one to have a kid by someone since he's been "spreading his seed" the most.
  23. Why would they have given kids in lock up slated to die birth control though? That's a waste because its not like they had the opportunity to be getting some anyway.
  24. Shut up you hypocrite was what I was yelling at Clarke during this episode when she had the nerve to lecture Anya on violence. Clarke has been pretty kill happy herself . Plus days earlier she protected that child that murdered her best friend so lecturing anyone on violence involving a child was not her place. And I'm beyond tired of Clarke the superdoctor. So now she's the only one on the ground with healing abilities? Its especially annoying since they didn't even bother to explain how she got her medical capabilities. Having read the book I know the book explanation but after the pilot they went in an entirely different direction from the book anyone. Like this whole Grounder war plot and all the original characters. Was glad The Ark returned but the writers were once again too focused with internal conflicts on the ground. How Kane and Jaha ended up separated was a mystery as was how long they've been floating without power and air. They really shouldn't have waited two episodes to get back to that plot. I guess we're to assume they learned all that about preparing meat from the Earth Skills classes they mentioned in the second episode. The little girl's name was Tris.
  25. Bellamy had sex with 3 girls. One of them was in episode two where we saw her walking out the morning after. And then there were the girls from the threesome.
