  1. You can have an ensemble cast without giving the hero a team and in Barry's case it would be fairly easy since he has a regular day to day job.
  2. Stephen is Robbie's cousin not brother but yeah. Stephen at least works well with a strong group around him. TTP wasn't even the first action role I've seen Robbie in so I definitely don't have confidence in him regarding this one.
  3. Robbie is bland and not a leading actor but Luke Mitchell wasn't a good actor either. Both need supporting actors to carry them. Luke was just better looking. I thought Madeline was the most charismatic actor on that show.

    Iris West

The CW's Nikita was a water down version of the original but that's another discussion entirely. I can think of several week male leads on the CW. The male leads on StarCrossed, The 100, The Secret Circle, The Tomorrow People and countless other shows.

How about you watch some of Candice Patton's work instead of prejudging her acting abilities? Because she's actually a very capable actress. And the CW casts plenty of males based off their looks only but I never really see anyone talking about that or prejuding the males before watching the show.
  6. I'm not saying he shouldn't have someone he can share his secret with but he's capable of handling himself and doesnt need to be a carbon copy of Arrow right down the team.
  7. He's been doing it on his own for years in the comics.
  8. Iris is studying criminal psychology so I don't think she'll be left totally out of the loop. I don't like this Team Flash thing period though. It works on Arrow where the team offsets the hero's weak points but they need not copy it for every one of their shows.
  9. Actually for action shows the pilot is usually the most expensive episode where they have the most budget. And then budget is a major concern after that.So this is probably as good as the special effects will get.
  10. I don't know where anyone is seeing chemistry between Barry and Caitlin. There was nothing there.
  11. I really enjoyed Barry and Iris's friendship. The Star Labs team annoyed me. Cisco seems to be that annoying comic relief nerd I can't stand that writers love to keep at the forefront and make into heros. I didn't find Caitlin endearing at all. Danielle was very wooden in this pilot. That whole scene with the Green Arrow felt out of place and could've been left out the pilot. I was just watching Justice League/Justice League Unlimited this weekend so of course some of those plots were running through my mind.
  12. Juana La Virgen is subtitled on youtube I believe. Jane being 23 in this was one of my problems too. I thought I posted that here but I actually posted that tidbit on another site. Plus this isn't Venezuela(where I probably could've hand waived it with excuses) its Miami, Florida. Its nice to see latinas on their own English language shows but I can't support shows like this and Devious Maids that are horribly written and rely on stereotypes to sell the show.
  13. There's alot more too it than that. I'm not even a fan off that show but he was not the only troublesome one backstage.T.R Knight caused alot of the backstage drama. And the fight with Patrick was not over the slur. Someone who closely followed Grey's bts during that time can better explain it.
  14. I'm still bothered by those scenes where Jasper had the nerve to act like she betrayed him and owed him something because he saved her life in the pilot. I saw all sorts of slut shaming posts about Octavia after that even though Lincoln was the only one she slept with and she and Jasper never had anything beyond a kiss. Because they wrote Jasper as hurt and entitled to her when he had no reason to be people started saying she treated him like dirt when she didn't.
  15. See even those scenes don't feel genuine to me probably because they never fully let Raven lash out at Finn and Clarke when she has ever right to be upset. I'm not saying they can't work together for the sake of the better good but if the writers didn't want to play out all the beats of this triangle they never should've wrote it. Having Clarke angsting with Finn right in front of Raven was cruel enough and then came that stupid scene afterwards where she told her she'd have chose her first. Clarke already knew Raven was hurt by the demise of her relationship with Finn and on top of that the girl was sitting there with a bullet in her spine! That was not fair at all to be telling Finn that she can't lose him again. They should've at least let Raven have one scene where she let out her anger and frustration. But they don't want to blame Clarke and Finn for sleeping together when they both are to blame. Finn for cheating on his long term girlfriend who has been like family to him and Clarke for sleeping with a guy she only knew for 10 days without getting to know him first.
  16. Actors who appeared on The 100 apperances in other roles. Rhys Ward (Atom) will be playing Adam, an expert hunter of the A&E series The Returned.
  17. Actually they gave Lindsey a contract when they finished filming the season. She's a series regular now.And this banner was supposed to be a Season 2 teaser. Ricky Wittle(Lincoln) is a guest star and he's further up in that banner than she is.
  18. CW has been trying to reach out to more than just the teen girls/YA book fans. That's why they have shows like The Flash, The Messengers, and Jane the Virgin coming. These teen shows aren't bringing them high ratings because the writers fall back on the same tired cliches that only work like TVD that has a bigger established fanbase.
  19. New Banner art. Why is Raven so far back? And why are the wristbands still present? http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_IQ6ATAhYcw/U59R6W0YGEI/AAAAAAAABiY/opr7J0-uUWc/s1600/872Q2ny.jpg
  20. The writers themselves said after the pilot was filmed the network told them they needed to add more sci fi elements into the show.
  21. I wish people would stop putting all the blame for these love triangles on the network. Hell for StarCrossed the network had to step in and tell the writers to easy up on the romance because the cheesy pilot got alot of bad reviews. Writers put these triangles into the show to try and get shippers to watch especially on the CW where many of them are trying to recreate TVD's success. If you look on Twitter you can see tweets from the producer and the cast pandering to shippers. Like during The Calm though it wasn't really shown onscreen the producer was on Twitter telling fans who want Bellamy and Clarke to hook up that Bellamy was thinking of Clarke and reeling from the loss of her.
  22. I'll post my post from the other thread here My problem with the romance/angst is that its horribly written and featured prominent in every episode despite the producers trying to say romance isn't the focus. If romance isn't the focus why did they force the love triangle all season? And they so wanted to say their love triangle was different that they took out alot of the emotion in it. Someone can't go through heartbreak without being angry yet they din't really want Raven to let out her anger on Finn and Clarke so they settled for occasional glaring each episode which just made her look bitter. Octavia's pairings were quickly thrown together without much development. I was annoyed when they tried to make it seem like she did Jasper wrong when the only thing we saw happen between her and Jasper was a kiss. Which caused online posts about her being a fickle slut. And then there was Raven and Bellamy's pointless hookup.
  23. There was lots of terrible dialogue in the finale. Plus that was a line more fitting for a father. Not an older brother.

And then there was Raven and Bellamy's pointless hookup. The whole Wells/Charlotte debacle was a perfect example of writing for shock value only with no real effect to the rest of the show. Wells death ended up being a waste and everyone only cared for that episode. Hell I didn't event get a sense from Clarke that she cared that much considering as soon as she found out it was Charlotte she was busy trying to cover for her. Charlotte's suicide was a cheap cop out where she didn't have to face the consequences of her actions. That situation should've changed the dynamic of the show. Some of the group should've broken off into their own camp but instead the other teens just continued to follow Bellamy and Clarke without question. To me the writers are too afraid to play things anything but safe and its the difference between this show being much watch to an alright show on a Wednesday night when there's really no other options. If they don't change that I'll probably end up giving up this show in the fall.
  25. I really can't see those two every being friends unless they take Finn out of the equation. I found that whole "I'd pick you first" season to be really cheesy dialogue wise but really also really annoying considering it came about because Clarke and Finn were angsting over each other in the scene before.
