  1. I was one of the apparently few who liked the first episode, but I really hated this. I don't like horror movie shit, and I'm really not here for that. All the pointless death, culminating in the horrible death of a child. Just grim and dark and gross, and when you throw Molly into it, unrelenting misery. I'm sorry I watched it, and I really wish I could wipe it from my memory. Remember when this show was fun? That seems so long ago...
  2. Based on her fate in the stories, I was bracing myself for Mary to die in this run of episodes, but that--sacrificing herself to save Sherlock? Weak. Boy, they really cranked it up to make John feel as guilty as possible. When Mary told him he was her whole world, I started to cry. Brutal. I didn't trust the emotional affair woman for a second. An obvious setup. Are we supposed to suspect he went all the way with her aftet he ran into her again? Still, a compelling episode that had me enthralled throughout. Glad the show is back.
  3. Since they're already releasing stories about it, here's a thread. Big Bang Theory Skipping Bernadette's Delivery Scene — Find Out Why Promo:
  4. It wasn't that they'd have to have sex (which they weren't considering--it was going to be artificial insemination). Penny said if Sheldon went through with it, she'd tell his super-religious mother that he was planning on having a child out of wedlock, so he dropped it.
  5. A spinoff for young Sheldon? This sounds like a terrible idea.
  6. Technically they're both real, and the same thing, just with a different syllable: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibberish_(language_game)#Gibberish_family
  7. I've said it before, but I'm loving this season! It's been so good so far. Plus, they corrected one of my personal pet peeves--this episode was longer than they've been for a while! Not counting the closing credits, this one clocked in at 20 1/2 minutes instead of the usual 18 (last week was 18:09). Yes, give us more show, please.
  8. When her name came up in the credits, I wondered if it was the same person, and check of her twitter feed confirmed it--the dancer who got blown up in the epilogue (hilarious!) was the show's Emmy-winning choreographer, Kathryn Burns.
  9. The explanation for Sheldon's knocking felt like an unnecessary retcon that I'm not sure I buy, but I was kind of impressed that they managed to tie both plots together by having them both involve stories of people being home when they weren't supposed to and intruders. It was a nifty bit of writing.
  10. I'm really enjoying this season; so far it's been a lot better than the latter half of last season. Some good character movement, but it was mostly just 20 minutes hanging out with the characters, which is what I'm here for. Always like seeing Penny and Leonard just having fun. I laughed out loud several times--Howard's "Wrong number!" Amy's flash photo, Leonard's dancing, Sheldon's reaction to Amy spitting. I liked it.
  11. Very happy to see this: Performer of the Week: Westworld's Louis Herthum
  12. I think Brandon W. Jones is adorable, but it would have been cool if they'd been able to get one of the multiple actors currently cast as The Flash--either from the TV show or movies--to play the character here. Kind of weird that they didn't go for the corporate synergy. Maybe DC wouldn't let them, hence the Marvel joke? I loved Amy being popular. Glad they finally revisited Bernadette's ambivalence about children. It was such a firmly established part of the character for years, and then once she found out she was pregnant it was all smiles and happiness, which didn't really mesh with what we knew about her. It took long enough, but this plotline was most welcome.
  13. I always like seeing veteran actors still working after many years, and I remember Louis Herthum when he was Deputy Andy in the later seasons of "Murder, She Wrote." Glad to see he got a meaty role and he was excellent at it. Would love it if he came back. And yes, he's looking damn good, especially for 60.
  14. Not according to his imdb page. He was in several episodes of "The Goldbergs". "If There Be Thorns" was the Lifetime Flowers in the Attic sequel Stacey1014 is referring to. It's listed two below The Goldbergs on his IMDB page.
  15. I liked it. Some good laughs--Sheldon reacting while trying to keep from saying anything, the colonel being an engineer and MIT alum, Amy regretting getting Bernadette a Happy Meal (and seriously--apple slices?). Hit some good notes about the effect of a pregnancy on a professional woman's career and her co-workers' and superiors' attitudes. As always, wish it was longer--it was less than 19 minutes, and that includes 40 seconds for the previouslies--but I enjoyed what was there.
  16. Milo Ventimiglia on This Is Us nude scene: 'I think my ass was prepared' Hell yes, it was.
