  1. Kind of like a home equity loan. Thank you both for the explanations. Good info to have when watching.
  2. Maybe I should know this, but I don't. What is LOC? TIA.
  3. I think that would be a great idea for someone else, but I'm not sure it would fit in with how she was trying to brand herself - that her mats could be mistaken for a real rug, that fits in with your decor. I think a Disney princess 'rug' would stand out as much as those primary colored ones. ' I have now decided I want one that could be customized with quotes that I would choose. Inspirational quotes for when I'm working out. They can do it for walls, why not mats.
  4. No kids in my house but I have them in the basement. Cheap way to add flooring to the basement, don't have to worry if the basement floods, and good cushioning if/when I exercise down there (sad to say, that happens very seldom).
  5. I was so excited when I saw the prettier foam mats. Then I heard the price. Yikes. I think she said she made them for $16 but sells them for $150. That's crazy (unless I misheard). I would buy those, but not at that price. And I think the cart guy got screwed. I think they would have given him more money for the higher equity. He said $700,000 for 15% equity and they said the equity is too low. They didn't seem to have an issue with the $700k. I wounder if he had offer 20% for that money, if they would have taken it. And I do want the cart that goes up the stairs. But I have no idea how expensive they are (and I'm too lazy to look them up, apparently).
  6. I really liked Joe when he came on. But after being so rude last week and now trying to get more equity from 10 year olds (!!!!), I'm wondering what his deal is. The girls were excited to be doing something, they want to make money so they can donate more socks to homeless shelters, and he wants to negotiate with them. Michael annoys me to no end, but he tries to do the right thing. I'm glad he backed out after Joe asked for more equity.
  7. Joe was cruel to the shoes woman. He seems to be pissy quite often these days, because apparently everything has to be done to his specifications and taste. I agree with him but he could have been a bit more diplomatic. And they rims guy, yikes. Would not want to do business with him. He's quite full of himself. And yes, the $800 shoe thing was obnoxious. We get it. You have money and see no problem spending a crazy amount on a pair of shoes. Nothing to brag about, if you ask me.
  8. I don't consider myself a potty humor fan but I actually laughed out loud at some of Nathaniel's 'adventures'.
  9. Apparently the vibes have competition. I really need some of those for my effing exercise classes. They play the music so loud. Does anyone know who the competition is (since they are apparently cheaper)? I hope the cricket ladies sell some chips, but it really bothered me that Harvard had to be part of the story. She could have just said they were college roommates. And I found the red-head really annoying. I like the idea of the getaway - but not for $100 a night. If I'm going to pay $100, then I want to be pampered. Since you get nothing but quiet in those tiny homes, they should be a bit cheaper. I can't believe they are being valued at 15 mil. That's just crazy.
  10. That Hope Blooms episode is one of my favorites. I still tear up if I catch it in re-runs. I could not believe that Kevin would not toss in 10K with the rest of them. And just for the record, the other dragons did not ask for equity in the business. The first one to offer was David (my fave) and he said he didn't want any equity, he wanted everything to go back into the business. And I think the others followed suit. But even if they got their money back, obviously the return they might get on 10K was not why they did it. They did it because, to me, they all seem to have a heart. Kevin, not so much.
  11. The Grease Bag lady should try selling those wings. Robert said those were the best wings he's had. And everyone else seemed to like them, too.
  12. Forgot to comment on the name - Mama's Milk Box - is the stupidest name I can think of for this business. Because I'm sure that's how mothers would like to be seen, as milk machines. That woman did think she was charming, but none of the sharks seemed to agree.
  13. Can you either share the joke or point me to the dirty version - because I'd like to know the whole story! Thanks. Poor Dr. Akopian. Her interjections while Josh was getting ready to propose were fantastic. That is how I would have reacted as well. Neither one of them is ready for a relationship, much less marriage.
  14. I like Joe but it bothered me when he intimated that it's somehow out of line to counter offer (I don't think that's the right phrase, but hopefully you all know what I mean). It's a business negotiation. The dragons can make an offer and the person can see if they can get a better deal. He made it sound like 'how dare you try to get a better deal, from a dragon, no less', as if the offer a dragon makes is the final word. Again, I like him, but sometimes it seems he takes this dragon thing too seriously. Dragon or not, it's a business negotiation, and both sides have the right to negotiate. Stop taking yourself so seriously.
  15. But why were they walking, looking for a bus stop? Didn't they drive there? Instead of 'enjoying' their stress, I was wondering where their car was. I laughed only once, when Mitch was describing Frasier (something like 'stupidly-named' clown). Other than that, not funny and not very interesting. And I don't think I saw Luke at all (not that I miss him).
  16. Find the pantsuit flash mob, if you haven't seen it. It's fantastic. Especially the pregnant dancers. I was expecting to see all women, but it is so great to see the men.
  17. Thank you for the links. I teared up when Bee said who she was voting for.
  18. I don't know what happened to Stephen but that Trump birther rant was a thing of beauty. Seth Meyers did a great segment, too. Trump should not be allowed to act like it's all over and done with when he has spent over 5 years peddling his lies.
  19. These are the same people that saw nothing wrong with hiding the fact that a sitting VP shot someone in the face. In that instance, there was nothing to tell and the public has no right to know. In this instance, well, just shows how awful Clinton is. I don't know what's happening to this country.
  20. I wish Rachel had asked about the NY Times story about how the rent for the campaign space in Trump Tower went from $40K (or close to that) to $250k (or close to that) once that rent was being paid for by donations. He really is in this to make money.
  21. Same here. He's become my favorite of the late night. hosts. I had high hopes for Colbert, but Seth is the one doing really interesting work right now.
  22. Now that I look at it, it's clear you were just linking. I've been a bit under the weather, so I'm going to use that as my excuse for being a bit dense :-)
  23. Trow 125, don't know why but I always thought you were female. Maybe it's the drink? Anyway, I'm jealous. You were part of a pretty impressive show/topic. And as someone who loves newspapers, the episode made me sad.
  24. I really enjoyed the first episode but they are losing me with each subsequent episode. I was promised a mystery but I feel so little time is spent on actually putting the case together and figuring out what really happened that night, that we will never find out what actually happened. Which is OK, if that's how this was advertised. I feel I was mislead. Don't know if I'm going to watch the rest.
