  1. Yes, i like David, too. He's my favorite. But I'm not on board with the two new guys.
  2. Yes, I found it really annoying, but couldn't figure out why. It sounded dubbed or un-natural (to me at least). The guy I was watching with said the tower talks to the planes via radio, so it didn't matter that they were having software problems. They should still have been able to communicate. I was really looking forward to this but I won't be back. It was just too ridiculous.
  3. Finally saw 'boob-gate'. I wish one of the women had the nerve to tell him to fuck off. Nice job there, brown-haired jerk. Apparently it's not OK to 'disrespect' the military the way Obama did, but it's perfectly OK to disrespect and demean the females in the military. The hypocrisy of those people...there are no words.
  4. I wanted the guy's team to win if only because the women on his team were wearing sensible shoes. Seriously, Jenna is 6ft and she still feels she needs to wear 5 in heels? But yes, the guests were fun, the games were good and the non-celeb just really blanked out there at the end. He seemed to know at least a couple of the names but couldn't spit them out.
  5. I wish just once someone had the guts to say (when asked 'are you going to raise my taxes?' as Stephen did of Pelosi last night) 'Yes, I will. You are making a shit load of money. Yes, you've worked hard but you got where you are by the opportunities that this country has given you and now it's time to pay back. Because god forbid that we actually ever say out loud, that yes, your taxes need to be raised.
  6. Yes, Better Off Ted has some minor characters periodically that could be ass holes, but over all, all the major characters were decent people, doing their best. And it was very funny.
  7. Not that it was really keeping my attention, but that totally took me out of the episode. How in the world does he have a framed picure with him at the airport? In what world does that make sense? Seems like they only did it so we could have the 'touching' momment of him putting it down on the table when he got home. Which was not touching and could have been accomplished by him just picking up a framed picture when he got home and looking at it. And yes, I did finally just watch this - has been sitting on the DVR. I don't think I'll be back.
  8. Are Leah and Scott friends? Because she was hanging all over him for the first half of the show, which I found odd, friends or not. Or maybe she was just drunk and hanging on to something, and he was the closest thing. Not a very fun episode.
  9. I was looking forward to this show until I just saw an ad for it with Gene Simmons. Don't need to see him, don't want to see him, so maybe this show is not fo rme. Too bad, since I love Amy P.
  10. I never thought about the legal aspects, but now I want to know how those things are being handled. if your spouse disappeared, are you considered divorced and can you get remarried? If your parents disappeared, does their will go in effect and you can spend their money? An occurrance like this would certainly keep the lawyers and judges busy.
  11. I am starting to think that every actress in Hollywood has a clause in her contract that someone has to comment on how pretty she is. I can understand one white wearing person saying to another 'oh, she's pretty' but when you've taken a vow of silence and have to use pen and paper for everything, you pulling out the pen and paper only to comment on LIv's looks seems ridiculous. When that is your only means of communication, wouldn't you save it for important stuff? That was just one ridiculous thing that happened. I want to like the show but I'm not sure. Too many unanswered questions. And I feel three years in the future is too long. I want to know how the cults started and what their beliefs are. Maybe we'll find out eventually, but absolutely nothing was made clear (to me, anyway) and that left me feeling lost and not very interested. We shall see if I stick with it.
  12. I just watched last nights show and I just don't know what to think about Cheney. Is he that deluded that he believes what he's saying, or is he so committed to this act that he will see it to the end, no matter the evidence? Maybe it's his brain that Rove should be concerned about - because how can you look at what has happened in Iraq and the money spent during your administration and still think that what you did was right? That the guy who came after you is the one who fucked everything up? That is delusion beyond belief. Between this and last night's Daily Show, I want to cry.
  13. Between people wanting to bring their guns to restauratns and now these idiots wanting to wear their stupid glasses everywhere, I will either be eating at home, or going through the drive through.
  14. I was also interested in trying it as diet help - no need to count calories, etc. But new orders aren't shipping for 10-12 weeks, at which point I will be out of the country. And he said it cost $9 per bag but on the website, a 7 packet shippment is somethign like $84 - so more than $9, which kind of pisses me off. But I might try it (with chocolate syrup) eventually, just to control my calorie intake for a while.
  15. I had a lot of problems with this episode but the one that bothered me the most was the nanny part. So, this guy, whose job is to watch the baby, who I'm assuming will need to be watched on the day that a wedding is going on, is leaving town. Not for a family emergency, which I can understand, but to visit his girlfriend. And he's leaving on the day of the wedding, just when people need to start getting ready, and therefore the baby needs a caretaker. In what world does that make sense? That's a bit like letting your personal chef go on vacation on the day that you are having a sit down dinner for 50 people. It bugged me. Why they felt they had to squeeze in all these story lines is beyond me. However, I did love Lily dropping the rose pedal, picking it up, etc. That was funny.
  16. I thought I was the only one who preferred the middle, chewy pieces . Glad to know i'm not alone. What bothered me about them was the fact that they said their muffin pan design used less metal, so cheaper to produce. Instead of passing that saving on to the consumer, they were going to charge close to $40. That's what gives businesses a bad name, IMO. About the boxes . I hadn't thought about gift boxes, but that is the perfect market for those things. But I'm not sure i would buy them even as gift boxes, because I found her whole presentation cringe-worthy. I was just uncomfortable during that whole segment. And I'm not watching this show to feel uncomfortable. And the ipad app. I wonder how accurate it really is, if the measurement is taken while the foot is in the air, as they showed. I'm pretty sure the shape of your foot changes a bit when you actually stand up...and they were annoying, so there's that.
  17. I'm with you spanana. Until this episode, I have never heard of Chrissy Teigen. And I was not impressed. I found her obnoxious and attention-grabbing. However, I'm a bit bummed because I was getting to like Brooklyn Decker but now knowing she's friends with this extremely obnoxious person makes me think less of her.
  18. I was confused by Mark and those two bull running dudes. Robert offers a deal, Mark tells him he's overvaluing the company and then makes the exact same offer. That didn't sit well with me. If you think Robert is overvaluing, why would you make the same offer? Anyway, I did not like those guys. The fact that you are using profit from one company to support another one is something you'd want to disclose, in my opinion. Woulnd't want to do business with those guys. Not that they care. I was never their target audience.
