  1. Same here. Honestly, my tics or quirks similar to this one are so insistent and compelling that I sometimes wonder if I am a little spectrum-y. Feeling out of step is not an unfamiliar sensation. Is it possible that someone who is nearly 70 could discover that they have autism? In a way, it would be nice to have something to blame, LOL. I agree with neh above, that next season's theme is in development - CCRs and rodents. Both angles have the potential to be even less than flattering than they are now.
  2. I enjoy reading here. I'm never disappointed when I visit this site, no matter the topic. In comparison, I could give up Facebook without a backward glance. (Not quite yet tho, LOL). There are so many really great posts on this page that I saved it for reference. I do that sometimes. My label for this one? Mariah Brown v the Greatest Generation. 😉
  3. Or, someone (at least two someones) would have to climb a ladder to bring it down, remove the fasteners, and then patch and paint the walls where the fasteners were. Too Much Effort. Easy come, easy go.
  4. As far as I know, unless the guidelines have changed, you can start a thread. If there isn't a lot of participation it will slowly drop down in position on the index page but will remain until the next time the mods clear the house of "extinct" threads.
  5. Found it - this is the date of the drunk and hopped up show.
  6. For Kindle readers, today only, Amazon is offering this until midnight in your time zone: The Collected Autobiographies of Maya Angelou. 1186 pages for $2.99! I have become a tight-fisted old broad in retirement and usually won't pay more than $3-4 for a Kindle book unless it's at least 300 pages, so this bargain nearly knocked me off my feet! Three of these books are new to me and the other three I will enjoy re-reading. I know, I know, Kindle isn't real books but ... 1186 pages! The hardcover is also available, $27.19 and 1184 pages. You can go to Amazon via this Goodreads link: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13206.The_Collected_Autobiographies_of_Maya_Angelou
  7. What's with the dark round-ish splotches on the tile, in front of the commode which is just out of sight? They may be part of the tile's natural surface/color or they may be something else. But as much as they photoshop, this is an unfortunate and icky oversight.
  8. Truly. Her persona is quite successfully crafted with the intention of separating females from their money (while stroking her ego) - and there is a herd of young children in their collective lives - so she could easily take on the causes of mothers and children. There is no limit to the issues under that umbrella and it's not like she has to scrabble to be heard.
  9. Hmmm. Given the way his mother's personality, parenting style, values and the incident itself were presented, when she said "you're embarrassing your family" my take was that she was referring to his public tantrum and his poor sportsmanship as being embarrassing rather than his striking out at bat. I could be way off-base with that. (LOL, didja see what I did there?) At certain stages in life we are the sum of our environment - and as a grown man it appears that he still sees the world as a place where the sun doesn't shine until he makes his entrance and everyone (Mom) hangs on his every word. Mary Jo Scarborough has a lot to answer for! (And I say that in a lighthearted way. My intention is not to slam her).
  10. No. Although that also was classic MJ - I had forgotten that one. They were still playing We've Got A Secret at the time of the lawn show. The Morning Drunk show was in-studio, after their relationship was public. I wish I was better at using the search feature here because I'm almost certain it was when you were still doing your detailed show logs every day.
  11. I wonder if she pumped up her ass to please what's his name and now he's gone but that ass is still following right the fuck behind her, day and night. Maybe I lost track but I don't recall seeing the bumper guard before as much as we have lately. Laughing MY ass off that the didn't make even the Top 5 for The Bachelorette. I've never watched it, but isn't she a bit long in the tooth to be in consideration for that exalted position?
  12. I know there are morning news shows in the same time slot but for some reason, maybe because the guests on MJ sometimes really are a cut above, certain news days really drive home that Big News quite often happens right after MJ ends - and whatever happens is done to death by the next morning. Is Manafort's sentencing such a big deal that Facebook is broken? Haven't been able to post or even log in for over an hour now. But I've made do with repeatedly enjoying that one clip they keep showing where he doesn't realize the sidewalk ends, oops, that was a curb, and you know it hurts like hell and he just keeps rollin' along like "Be cool, no one noticed." LOL I was gonna give up snark for Lent but then I didn't.
  13. Please, Kemper, never change. We like you just the way you are - and Lent isn't forever, LOL.
  14. This reminds me of the morning they topped off a night of boozing and no sleep with an extremely strong stimulant. Ahem. Her quite obviously last night's hairdo was straggly as hell and it got better and worse during the show, both were babbling and he looked like 40 miles of bad road. Everyone on set and even those via remote were like WTF. Good times. I Would Love To See That Again. Salaam and TIA to anyone who finds a clip and posts it.
  15. Truly. Maybe when Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Ashley Parker burns herself out because of her thirst for fame career (like Mika has mentioned doing) and falls down a flight of stairs while holding her infant daughter (like Mika has mentioned doing) then Ashley and Mika will bond like only women who Know Their Value can do. Ashley's little Nazarene (guessing at the spelling) is a cutie. Mika was somewhat restrained during her Elizabeth Warren segment, during the part I saw, compared to how she usually is with her. Did she attempt and fail at a couple gotchas (re Pelosi's he's not worth impeaching)?
  16. OK! The announcement is ... that Kasie ! is pregnant and her due date is in August. And Ashley Parker is back from maternity leave. Mike gifted her with a feminine onesie because she "dresses her baby like a boy too often." (I hope that is close to the exact quote, which was unnecessary IMO).
  17. Fifty minutes into the first hour and no Morning Joe Family Announcement yet. Russell Brand called her a shaft grasper. I say she's a milker.
  18. Move toward the edge of your seat - Mika flashed Joey's op-ed and said everyone should read it. Aaaand she said there's an exciting Morning Joe Family Announcement coming up. I am left wondering for how many segments she will milk the suspense. Stay Tuned.
  19. Christine was in her new house long before Robyn's place even went under contract. How do they finance anything? That is the burning question ...
  20. "I coulda been a contender."
  21. Did he or Mika read it on the show? Some of the WaPo comments are brutal (not about his loss but about how his op-ed's Life Lessons For Everyone mesh/don't mesh with his daily on-air spiels). I laffed at this one in response to those who chided the blasters: Please don't tell me I missed someone reading it on the air. Because if I did I'm gonna hunt down That video clip.
  22. ... near the intersection of Prairie Dog Flats and Billy Goat Acres. One block off of Tobacco Road. These mutts will feel right at home there and have plenty of room for abandoned vehicles and piles and piles of trash that accumulate between quarterly trips to the dump.
  23. I think FNG and REM are from the Vietnam era. I love love love crossword puzzles and also do them every day. Are you ink or pencil? (I prefer ink).
  24. Oooh, go to Shelbi's office and ask about the costs involved in bringing utilities to rural property lots, sewer v septic tank, city water v water tank, natural gas v propane, going solar, etc. Don't waste a bunch of her time or yours but see if you can get some ballpark answers. TIA.
  25. Gah, the freakin' vest is the size of a postage stamp to begin with and looks even smaller with that generous torso of hers but then she adds HORIZONTAL stripes to the mix. Luckily she redeems herself with the all-the-suede-is-worn-away boots because those complement anything she wears.
