Conner Floyd (Chance) is the spokesperson for a streaming service called YuVee, and he's done a series of commercials for them. He plays a guy named Bryan who claims to be the brother of Ryan Reynolds. I think the ads are cute and here's one of them: (FYI, I'm not recommending YuVee.)

No joke. And they should put it right next to the coffeehouse and hire Sharon to include a referral with each order. Lauren is an heiress to the Fenmore fortune and her retail empire includes both boutiques and full-blown stores like Macy's or Nordstrom. Michael only works because he wants to. I think Victor somehow taps into Michael's desire for a father figure.

Audra made Nate watch her purse while she left to go talk to Kyle. Nate = 100% p-whipped, ha ha. Gosh, when Michael walked into Victor's office he looked wrung out. Apparently trying to get new dirt on Billy is an exhausting task. And Victor couldn't've cared less. Billy still refused to believe anything Chelsea said that he didn't consider a valid confession. So she basically told him she had other things to do. Oh noes, William, your browbeating failed! Go, Audra. It was about time you climbed up StuporGirl's hiney and turned on a flamethrower. Summer was past needing to be told to keep your name out her pouty mouth. Nate said he and Audra were "oozing with potential." Oozing. Did he give her an STI or did she give him one? 😉 Alas, Audra's poker face did not succeed. Nate finally guessed the big secret she'd been trying to keep from him about Victor and Glissade. Summer. You actually had the nerve to call Audra, "untrustworthy." Have you met your mommy? AFAIC Audra has a long way to go before she's as bad an influence on Harrison as his Grandma Pee Pee. At least Audra's not a convicted felon. At last it dawned on Audra that Tucker had been right all along about Glissade. Its main value is as leverage in the Jack vs. Victor war for GC corporate supremacy. Nah, Chelsea. Offloading your guilt onto Billy by admitting you cheated on him isn't the answer. Pull yourself together.

Basically, yeah, except for the Harrison and Jordan parts. And Claire's MO has become way more subtle. Her persona and appearance lately = wide-eyed innocent. It's taken Claire a while to live down jabbing Grandma Nikki in the neck with a hypodermic full of knockout juice, and to get the Newmans to forgive her for kidnapping and poisoning them. They're all in Claire's corner now, though Nick remains a tad reserved and Summer could live without her. I think they're not going to see her as a threat to NE until too late. I don't think Newman Media's aim would be to tank the company so much as create worry Billy would tank it. Probably thousands of Chancellor employees around the world would fear their jobs were at stake. Enough of them could quit or find ways to make it difficult for the company to continue operating with Billy in charge. On the customer front, they could stop buying whatever CI sells, i.e., a boycott. Newman Media could goad that effort via social media. Eventually Jill would need to remove Billy or sell the company and let someone else deal with him. It'd be a long process though so it's IMO silly to have Nikki measuring the drapes already. Essentially, weaponized PR doesn't necessarily have to be true or particularly bad. It just has to be relentless, or big enough to overshadow all alternative information.

I think it's her first step toward taking over Newman Enterprises.

Makes sense, especially the part where Adam decides NM is indeed a convenient tool for sending trouble Billy's way. The bad PR would help push Billy out at Chancellor so Victor can give it to Nikki. (🙄) My prediction: Billy won't actually forgive Chelsea, and he'll feel entitled to even the score by sleeping with Sally. But Sally won't realize Billy used her for revenge until later when he throws their ONS in Chelsea's face. It'd be pretty much the same thing Billy pulled with Summer back in the day when he found out Phyllis had cheated on him with Nick. Ultimately, I think both current couples will break up, and the eventual result will be Chelsea & Adam and Sally & Billy.

Hey, it's Audra. I almost didn't recognize her. Oh look, someone's reading his lines off the props again and not being subtle about it. What the heck, Kyle? Do you really want to be antagonizing your Glissade business partner over Summer's delusions? You know Audra isn't the problem. Awkward. Chelsea and Adam left the park and didn't even hug Billy and Sally goodbye. They made themselves look more suspicious. Summer. Audra's never even met Harrison. How can she be a bad influence on the kid who probably doesn't even know who she is? Heh, a launch party contest is looming: Glissade vs. Abbott-Chancellor. Let's go! Phyllis may have hit the nail on the head. Summer's ultimatum to Kyle regarding Audra was more about Kyle than Harrison. Harrison mostly provides Summer a ready excuse. Nate was feeling a tad randy apparently. That was an ardent lovers greeting he gave Audra, not a FWB one. Phyllis was oddly bothered to learn about Chance's inclusion in Summer's group of confidantes. What does she think he'll do, arrest her for giving Summer bad advice? Reality finally may be dawning on Kyle. Victor has all but backed him into a corner by pitting Kyle's love for his son against Kyle's desire for revenge against his parents. No, Billy, YOU stop! Your paranoia doesn't give you license to run roughshod over whoever you want. Whoa, Phyllis straight up stepped to Victor, in public. I ain't mad at her. Do your fearless mama bear thing, Red. Playing nerf football on like a square yard of grass. Seriously, Show? Billy may be a primo d-bag but I'll acknowledge his ability to wear the hell out of a double-breasted suit. It's was almost as if he was doing preemptive damage control. Connor said the quiet part out loud: his OCD = his parents being closer. He has no idea how much closer. 😏 So does Connor not remember locking Christian in the garage? And didn't he push someone and cause them to miscarry? The OCD is just a small branch of his longtime emotional problems. I'm wondering how many impromptu interventions Faith, Mariah, and Nick are going to stage for Sharon before they accept her needing greater help than they're able to provide. Sharon is arguably more loopy than a crocheted comforter. Even dead people can see it. FFS, Chelsea and Adam just committed a ridiculous unforced error. Billy will be insufferable now that he's aware his suspicions about them were correct. Ugh.

You're going to get whiplash trying to keep up with Billy's bizarre flip-flop behavior. Phyllis either can't read social cues or she deliberately ignored the ones Lily was sending to tell her to go bother someone else. Mox nix. I could not believe the way Victoria and Nikki were fretting over the possibility of Claire being romantically involved with Kyle. Not long ago Vikki was pretty much encouraging Claire to go to Paris with Kyle so he could pop Claire's cherry. Not sure if Claire was working Jack or if she's sincerely concerned about Kyle's battle with Summer over Harrison's custody. Phyllis comparing herself to Lily by saying "women like us." Please. Someone better call Kendrick Lamar to shut that nonsense down. Leave it to Red to be a Drake and overestimate her status. What the what? Phyllis was presuming to give Lily both professional and personal advice. Yeah, that'll fly...on Neptune. It was definitely not what Dru would've wanted. There it is. Billy wanted to add Abbott to the Chancellor company name to show up Jack and Jabot. This effing guy. Getting store-bought muffins for Harrison? Oy, Summer, you're not scoring points with Mrs. Martinez. Good grief, now Chelsea has to develop OCD to deal with Connor's OCD? I thought the story about Connor's special cereal spoon was awful because Chelsea made it mostly about herself. Billy was provoking Chelsea to be mad at Adam. Hmm. And basically telling her he knows she's lying to him about something but he's decided to be okay with it. Man, Billy's skills at mindfcukery were running in turbo mode. Seems Victor is operating on the mistaken assumption that Billy's going to be front and center at Abbott-Chancellor. Gee, Vic, how you gonna be a master of the universe if you can't keep up with the hot corporate goss? Liar, liar, pants on fire, Summer. You absolutely wanted Grandpa Victor to bring the hammer down on Kyle to make him back off on Harrison's custody. That's why you were grinning like a fool before you saw Kyle stomp into Crimson Lights. FFS, Victor, why should Adam care who runs Chancellor? I think you got triggered by the C-W name change to A-C, and you expect Adam to be upset too. Ehh, Adam has real problems to deal with. AGAIN! What is Summer's freaking obsession with Audra? It's like this whole alternate reality is streaming inside Summer's head. She's Harrison's mommy! Audra is Satan! Up is down! Dark is light! Aaargh!!!! Hey, Michael, the next time Victor commits several major felonies, don't do anything. Just let his highness get arrested. Then watch how fast Victor will want your help. Until then, calm down. I sure wish I knew what Summer thinks Audra is going to do to Harrison. Audra probably couldn't be bothered to pick Harrison out of a lineup of six-year-olds.

I'm two-thirds of the way through and just cannot keep comparing it unfavorably to Queen of the South. This miniseries feels like an attempt at an Emmy grab for Sofia Vergara. Not for the acting so much as for the facial prosthetics. Also, the subtitles were fine but I wish it had been advertised more that the show's dialogue was mostly in Spanish. However, I appreciate Netflix continuing to make a commitment to productions which aren't in English or predominantly in English.

Last Wednesday, before the Italian adoption reveal (either on the US broadcast or the Canadian/day ahead one), I made a comment which was not in reference to that reveal. Because I don't have precognition. Oops!

I can't wait to see Dominic in his toddler tux when he's the ring bearer at his parents' fall wedding. Re the previews: the Olympics will be finished so Traci & Alan can arrive in GC. All this. And the thing is, it wasn't just this site that was saying Summer's "my son" stuff was b.s. I know of three other soap forums that have been complaining too. Today's attempt at a retcon does not appear to be going over well anywhere I've seen. Besides, why would the adoption of an American child by American parents done in another country be sufficient? Unless they did it through an American embassy or something similar, wouldn't they eventually have to file in the US as well? I'm thinking this sudden adoption hail Mary might not be entirely legal, still leaving room for Tara** to show up and kibosh the whole thing. **Because note how no one has said Tara ceded her parental rights, or that she's dead.

Am speechless. The entire English language bows down. It would've been the end of the world, or at least the one Summer lives in. I wish Claire would innocently bring Harrison a PB&J sandwich because I think Summer's overdue for another peanut butter kiss.

Hey, it's Connor. He seemed taller to me. So is Connor not going to stop with the OCD stuff until he gets his parents back together? I think he does a great job of keeping Chelsea and Adam unsettled. Guess Summer woke up and chose violence. Ugh, she's exhausting with her constant harping about her role in Harrison's life. Why do they still have that Chancellor-Winters sign up in Lily's office? C-W no longer exists. Billy's got jokes. He told Lily, "I'm not fired! You're fired!" 🙄 Oh come on, what's Billy up to now, trying to sound rational and reasonable? Probably the only way he can be a silent partner at A-C is if he gets his lips sewed shut. Kyle, accelerating the custody hearing won't be enough. Huh, somehow I managed to miss that today, saints be praised. What I did notice was all the upper thigh Lily was flashing at Billy. Seems to me those two have been doing some kind of weird come-hither dance where they'll end up having mercy sex soon. (The mercy being on Lily's part, natch.) But when the dust clears I'm betting Billy will end up with Sally.

I'm having a hard time with the notion that Faith was responsible for monitoring Lucy's behavior at the concert. Faith wasn't Lucy's babysitter or her chaperone. IMO if Heather and Daniel expected Faith to act with that kind of authority they should have established that with her beforehand. Fortunately for everyone concerned, Faith was decent enough to stop Lucy from continuing to drink and to take her out of there. Seems to me, Faith could've just called Lucy's parents and told them to come get their bratty kid because she wasn't trying to repeat old history.

I doubt many people saw that storyline as a "both sides" issue. Faith. Covering for Lucy's lies will embolden her to keep pulling you into her bratty behavior. Hamlet's musing still stands: sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. I thought Victor had all the nerve asking Nate for help in moving Lily out of the line of Newman fire. Faith started college in 2022. (University of Michigan.) That would make her about to start her junior year. She born on September 30, which means she may have had to wait a year to start first grade. That would tie in with her being a slightly older junior in college.
