I think it's possible to be dying of a terminal illness and also be a bad person who's not worthy of sympathy. In my opinion Amy is that kind of person and she's using her alleged illness to manipulate both Nate and Damian. If Amy and Damian have a long history of her mistreating him enough that he wanted nothing to do with her, I'm fine with Damian not submitting to her overtures. A parent is not entitled to have their kid as their lifelong object of emotional abuse. O hai Victor. But, this being a daytime soap, Damian will eventually come around. It'll likely be right before Amy kicks the bucket.

In Victor's world the rules he applies to everyone else don't apply to him. He built his empire for his Family! Except Abby because she's 50% Abbott. And Claire if she doesn't stop being defiant.

Heh, if Victor wants to break up Claire and Kyle he should arrange for Kyle to lose all his hair. Kyle would probably go bonkers and turn so obsessed with growing it back that Claire would become an afterthought. I did not see that level of con artistry coming.* Apparently Amy has never seen Fake Damian because surely she would've known he wasn't her son. Unless she's in on the scam, that is. So, they recast the role and figured out a way to keep both Damian actors in the storyline. 🥳

I'm a former military dependent. If Greg's family was stationed overseas or in a relatively remote area in the US, they likely would've shopped at a base commissary which didn't have the same variety of foods the average commercial grocery store does. In my experience that might've led to an usual amount of attention being given to what you ate (based on what was available) but it wasn't permanent or or disabling. I agree that Greg's issues with food are likely based in something than the military upbringing. It'll be interesting to me if the show pursues it further; I have some theories. Re the truffles, for $4k/lb. they better be coated in silver, gold, and platinum. Ditto comments upthread, on top the 17 Arnold Palmers, all that food Janine ate was going to give her digestive tract a busy evening. Yikes. GMTA! On January 15 I posted that I gave it a month, tops. Chelsea and Adam are going to boink for sure. There's Valentine's Day as an excuse, plus February is a sweeps month. Yep. I'm just glad Kyle was drinking something besides booze. He can't seem to go many places without having liquor.

Speaking of the sets, I recognized a couple of them from some old Tyler Perry series. That's going to be distracting for me because I tend to stop and try to figure out where I've seen a given set before. That was my experience too and I started wondering if my CC had made a mistake. Sometimes the CC is based on a script which was revised at the last minute. I also think sometimes the actors misspeak, or they ad lib their lines. I don't know what happened in yesterday's clusterfcuk. This sounds hyperbolic but IMO it truly was one of the worst soap opera episodes Y&R has ever produced. Lately it seems to me like different parts of the show are being written by a committee whose members barely communicate with each other.

Wonder how long it'll take for Victor to crow to Jack about how he almost died for his family? I give it a week, tops. IMO Victor is still mad about Jack risking his sobriety and possibly his life to keep Nikki from drinking herself to death. He doesn't like Nikki being beholden to Jack. Well, now Victor has topped Jack's selfless gesture and he'll hold it over Nikki's head forever. (AFAIC Victoria is already Victor's sucker, and Claire is lowkey working all of them until she can gain control of the Newman empire.) Victor spent a lot of time fiddling with his phone while Ian was holding a gun on him. Seems to me he could've at least been texting Adam and/or Abby a warning so they'd know to bring help. Adam walking in there clueless was totally unbelievable to me. That whole mess yesterday seemed like not only an attempt to make Victor look like a hero but also to give RW a Daytime Emmy submission reel. But it was also so full of plot holes I wonder if it was written by multiple people who barely coordinated with each other. Bill Bell must be spinning in his grave.
