Oh boy, guess we'll be seeing the Sharon and Phyllis hostage flashbacks in B&W for the next elebenty months. Look Billy, you better not be trying to make Sally feel insecure about Phyllis. Sally is a showcase; Phyllis is a runner-up prize. 😡 Daniel having a deep conversation with Sharon about her being held captive with his mommy seemed pointless to me. Every single time he talks to Sharon he brings up the Heather murder. All roads don't lead back to Heather's death, Daniel. Phyllis admitted her whole purpose in life as an adult has been to make trouble for Sharon. Ehh, that wasn't true when Phyllis was with Jack. Whatever, Nick knows the ish really started when he couldn't handle his grief over Cassie's death so he cheated on Sharon with Phyllis. But today he just stood there with his thumb up his hiney listening to Phyllis twist the truth to garner sympathy. Yeesh. How much do I hate Victor's involvement in the Aristotle Dumas storyline? THIS MUCH!! The talk between him and Michael today made it sound like Dumas won't be interacting much with the Winters crew at all. Sigh. Tessa was still being extra friendly toward Daniel for no apparent reason, and he was matching her energy. Hmm. Meanwhile, re Tessa's new hair color: yikes. IMO she's a bit past her prime to be trying to imitate the current pop princess look. Wait, what, Billy's got an unmasked phone call from Aristole Dumas? Is Dumas after Billy, or is he who Billy's been conspiring with to snatch Chancellor back from the Newmans? Wow. Did not see that coming.

I was being somewhere between hyperbolic and sarcastic about Dick Wolf. And I wasn't suggesting there'd be jurisdictional issues on where the case should be prosecuted. What I do think is that this episode could influence the potential jury pool, even with certain key differences between the fictional case and the IRL one. L&O could've waited to present this episode next season so I wonder what the rush was.

Well, that actor was no Luigi. He looked to me like a preppy naif, not an unfortunate sex symbol. /shallow Even with a black-out ending before the fictional jury's verdict was read, I think Dick Wolf pretty much forced the IRL prosecution to seek to move the Luigi case out of Manhattan. Wolf maybe should've waited until next season for this episode. This episode seemed a bit more ripped from reddit than from the headlines. I recognized many of the same reddit comments being made by various characters in the episode. Yeah, I've noticed that and it's my theory it happens because more online news articles are being written by AI. Maybe the news providers can pay less in salary costs but AI isn't free or cheap.

Audra's adjacent to several billionaires: Devon, Tucker, and probably this new guy Aristotle Dumas (via Damian and Holden). That's one reason why it's dumb to me how Audra still can't find a job.

The wedding? Yes, including some mystery woman who was standing in the foyer while the ceremony happened. It was never explained who she was and I don't think she's ever been seen again. Abby & Devon acting grateful to have their wedding at the new old ranch house? Yes, there were several moments of them giving Victor tongue baths in return for his commandeering their nuptials.

Victor kind of has a pattern of being dismissive of Abby but I was surprised Devon put up with that crap. He's also a billionaire and could well afford to give his fiancée the wedding of her dreams. And then Abby and Devon had to act ever so grateful Victor was going to let them get married in the new old ranch house's living room. Big whoop. AFAIC they might as well have had the ceremony in the GCAC parking garage.

I dunno, I think like many potentially derogatory terms it depends on who's using it. Recognized members of the group being referred to can usually use it with/toward each other. However, outsiders might want to exercise caution. (Fellow USians, maybe not with the "Canuck" right now unless you're discussing pro hockey. 😉)

This was one of the worst episodes of television I have ever seen. They actually had Athena modeling evening gowns. I can't imagine how it could've helped Doctor Odyssey's ratings.

Didn't Athena already have a storyline on a cruise ship? I don't see why they're doing this again unless ABC thinks her 9-1-1 fans will give Doctor Odyssey some extra ratings points.

Bad nephew! 😉 Was anyone anxious to see another try-hard boudoir scene between Chelsea and Adam? Bueller? Geez, Summer seems to be turning into a professional c-blocker. I kept confusing Maggie's boyfriend with the serial killer who was in prison. She has a type, ha ha.

Yep, no Newman blood, plus Harrison has Abbott blood (allegedly*). In Victor's book that's a double whammy. *Allegedly because I still suspect Harrison is actually Theo Vanderway's kid. Tara and the med tech who took the blood samples for the DNA test looked to be up to something underhanded. I think Tara knew it would be better for her in the long run if Harrison was an Abbott, so she paid the med tech to alter the DNA test results.

What day was this in GC? Summer was in the same blue slip dress but everyone else had on a different outfit from the last time we saw them. And once more, Claire walked up on Summer and Kyle having a moment. Love the way Claire not only acts unbothered by Summer using Harrison to distract Kyle, she compliments Summer on being such a good mother. Summer has no idea how much out of her league she is when it comes to Claire. AFAIC Holden needs to stop making lame excuses to Audra for why he still hasn't left town. He and Damien probably could've rented a car and driven back to L.A. by now. Lol, how many layers of clothing did Damian have on today? Yep, and I'd pin most of the blame on EB. He refuses to retire and can't risk having his status as Victor undermined. Note that the CBS website for Y&R still has him depicted as the star of the show. MTS and PB are his co-stars.

Which might allow Alan/Martin to know things from Sharon's point of view but I don't think it would explain how he'd know anything about Phyllis that didn't involve Sharon. Besides what would've been in media archives, anyway. I got no problem making those kinds of demands. They keep having characters mention him, including new ones like Holden. He's being kept in viewers' minds for a reason. Tucker's not dead and he's not in prison, and he has a grandson in GC. And he kills a pair of slim jeans. Bring back Tucker, Show!

Sharon mentioned tightly hugging Faith when she was able to return home. Why isn't Faith back at college? Is she on spring break? Geez, Sharon's perpetual troubles are costing Faith her education. Sally seems to have has accepted that her relationship with Billy will include random intrusions by Phyllis. Ehh. Meanwhile, I liked how the wardrobe people had the foresight to put Sally in a green outfit today. Wow, Billy was quite upset over what Phyllis went through in the kidnapping. Hmm. Daniel was wearing green too. And Summer was drinking a green martini. Erin go bragh! ☘️ Phyllis rolled her eyes when she said Chance was looking out for her. We know, Red, we know. Chance's protection is a small comfort. Microscopic. Dear writers, you keep tossing around the words "ironic" and "irony." I do not think those words mean what you think they mean. They aren't synonyms for "twisted" and "weirdness." 🙄 Sharon suspects the kidnapper has advanced learning in psychology. She's right but it still doesn't explain how Alan/Martin knew so much about Phyllis and Sharon's shared history. Uh oh, Traci caught Alan/Martin in a lie about him not using his phone for fear of hacking. And then she caught him in one about events back in Paris. Traci, stop talking! Whee, Billy was staring at Phyllis like, "I actually used to sleep with this nutbag." Guess Phyllis is about to become a stage 5 clinger. Looks like Traci may be the next kidnapping victim. OMG, Traci, you better not even leave the Central time zone with that monster, much less get on a private jet to Europe.

Better not throw it back, forward, or to the side. Barbara is not having such nonsense. Barbara said O'Shon is fine for no reason. No lies detected. Ever. Bentley the dog wasn't here for any part of that crime investigation. So much barking! And right off the bat Baxter is implicated in a case again because he and the victim or perp ran in the same social circles. Heh, Brady was feeling a way about Baxter's sleepover lady friend Kate. Lowkey jealousy? I think the exotic dancer suspect could've passed for Sabrina Carpenter as a brunette. Ditto on the comment upthread that the fixer suspect looked like she was cosplaying Sarah Palin. Price wanted to recuse the entire DA office because Baxter's girlfriend was representing the defendant. Lol, he is so tired of Baxter's personal life affecting their murder trials. Price: the defendant decided to FAFO. Maroun: did she though? The jury: yep, she did. GUILTY! Next week is the Luigi Mangione episode! Wonder if he knows he's made Law & Order? Whatever, apparently Dick Wolf is fine with poisoning the potential jury pool.

Me either, though I wouldn't be surprised if Claire had a quick fling with Holden. I think the Claire & Kyle coupling hasn't generated the kind of heat TPTB were hoping for so they're looking to move Claire elsewhere. Maybe Kyle will get back with Summer; who cares? It'll be telling which woman Billy Flynn's character is paired with first, assuming he isn't going to be a recast for Noah Newman, as spumored. Bringing him on as Noah would cut off several possibilities because Noah is related to several women characters. Aristotle Dumas, come on down! 😏

Chloe is married though we rarely see her husband Kevin anymore because he's busy over in Salem. I'd like to see Billy Flynn's character paired with Sally or Claire. Please keep him away from Sharon, Phyllis, Summer, Victoria, Lily, Chelsea, and Audra.

Flashbacks of yesterday's episode being shown in black & white as if those Billy and Nick scenes were aired months or years ago. Okay. Adrenaline is a helluva drug. Sharon tipping over that bookcase was unexpected. Maybe there are still remnants of PCP in her system, ha ha. Stand back, citizens of GC! Detective Chancellor has the situation under control. Just ask him. 🙄 Wait, so where was the surveillance camera hidden? Guess it wasn't in the loudspeaker box as I previously speculated. Sure, Phyllis, everything you've done in your life has been to survive. Like openly cheating on your husband with his brother. Or getting pregnant by another woman's husband. You have the survival skills of a rabid dingbat. Poison gas?!?! Wow, no half-measures for Alan/Martin. Now he's going for attempted murder charges on top of the kidnapping and trespassing. Nick must have a leg made of titanium given the way he kicked open the locked door. After everything that happened, Sharon and Phyllis were taken to Victor's house for questioning. Gee, why not the jazz club, or Society? So effing stupid. Alan/Martin just pulled several meticulously-planned crimes. His cellphone has clear evidence of his responsibility for those crimes. However, he wasn't smart enough to stash that phone where his fiancée couldn't access it. Seriously?

Adam has to get permission to enter Daddy's house. Huh. Everyone else just walks in. Hey, it's Chloe. One would think Alan/Martin would be using a burner phone and he'd be keeping it hidden. If Traci sees those messages from the hostage room he'll have to kill her, or at least wipe her memory. Adam said he built Newman Media from the ground up. Right. Daddy gave him the cushy office, the CEO title, the staff, and the association with NE. Plus, other people have also successfully run NM, such as Sally and Nikki. Hush, Adam. Alan/Martin "letting" Traci talk him into a quickie wedding has to mean he's setting up a way to access her finances. Sigh, Traci shouldn't be marrying anybody without a prenup in place beforehand.
