I thought his acting was fantastic in the stage musical, but film is definitely a different beast.

That song is one of the most popular in the Broadway musical. The actress who sang it in the show won the Tony that year. Different strokes I guess.

In terms of Hannah’s advice, I actually thought what she told Nina wasn’t particularly good. I’m not saying Nina should’ve abandoned Jake, but saying she should be the one to “ save” him from his drug addiction wasn’t great either.

Andy and Nina did get together in the end. He proposed, and she accepted.

No singer will be to everyone’s tastes, but she does have a 4 octave vocal range, which probably makes her “ good” at least technically speaking.

I don’t think the ending necessarily implied that Joe quit teaching. I think it was ambiguous. IMO, the point was that he was going to enjoy every moment and not focus too much on one thing.

I enjoy most of the Rankin Bass specials. I just also like snarking about Santa’s weird characterizations in them.

Has anyone else watched “ Jingle Jangle” on Netflix? I thought it was delightful, and the performers were great.

I don’t mind problematic couples( in fiction at least) if they’re written well, but this one didn’t work for me because the ethical implications were never mentioned. They were just ignored.

I think it’s cute so far( only an hour in), but I doubt it’ll end up as one of my favorites.

I really liked “ Christmas Waltz.” The leads had fantastic chemistry, and I thought Lacey Chabert did a decent job with the dancing.

I also liked that we haven’t seen those two actors in a million different things. I thought Robin Dunne was more charismatic than the male leads usually are.

Has anyone seen “ On The Twelfth Day of Christmas?” It’s from 2015, but I thought it was cute. The leads had a lot of chemistry IMO.

But this was even worse because they didn’t work together or anything. There was no good reason to drag their feet for decades.

Maybe I should re-watch it to see if I like it better this time around. I remember it being pretty good, but not really loving the young couple. I can’t remember if I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the actors or if their inability to talk for YEARS irritated me too much to invest in them.
