  1. I watched the episode again and it confirms for me that Kofi being accused of killing Rocco was plan B and it was not Charlie's initial plan to have a fall guy to protect Adam which in turn would put Michael in his pocket. Here is the sequence of events: Michael asks Charlie to get rid of the car, not just have it stolen but gotten rid of completely Charlie calls Lt Rudy Cunningham for a favor Cunningham calls Mo, the Desire leader, who then tells Kofi he has a job for him After seeing Rocco's body in the morgue, Baxter tells Lt. Brendan Cusack he wants who did this to Rocco Kofi who, according to the GPS on his phone, was headed to the scrap yard and is stopped for running a red light Kofi and Volvo are taken into custody A piece of Rocco's bike falls from under the Volvo and the vehicle is inspected Cusack gets a call (guessing Cusack put the word out that he wanted to be notified if any vehicles were brought in that had been in an accident) Kofi is released from custody and runs into a cop (think it's Cusack but not sure) Cusack "questions" Kofi, "knowing" he killed Rocco Kofi, back in custody, talks to Mo and is told to confess and not worry about his family Kofi pleads guilty Baxter's man says it was a hit, not a hit and run and that Desire is coming for them. Baxter notes that this was done because Carlo beat up one of Desire's soldiers Mo calls Cunningham. Kofi's not talking Cunningham calls Charlie. They are safe I don't have a guess as to why Kofi pleading guilty makes Charlie and Cunningham safe beyond it being traced back to them that they planned to get rid of evidence in Rocco's death. I'm sure this would piss Baxter off immensely. Hopefully there's more to it. As for why Mo would agree to telling the world and Baxter that one of his guys killed Rocco, maybe he wants a war with Baxter. Baxter beat up one of his, he put one of Baxter's in the morgue. Or maybe Cunningham has that level of control and anything he tells Mo to do, he does it no matter the consequences to Desire. But again, hopefully we will get clear reasons for why Mo agreed.
  2. Here is my guess. The goal is that Adam is not implicated in the killing. Having Kofi confess/plead guilty instead of going to trial where he could possibly be found not guilty goes a long way in reaching that goal. Kofi pleading guilty ensures, at least for the moment that there will be no more digging/investigating into the killing. In the event Det Costello wants to wrap up the car theft and dot all her I's and cross all her T's and discovers evidence that ties the car to the killing, the case against Kofi (and protection for Adam) strengthens since he stole the car. I'm also guessing that Clay Davis may at least suspect that someone in the Desiato household is tied to the Baxter kid's death. Now why would he suspect that? Beyond the judge's "get rid of the car, no questions asked", I'm not sure but from what I saw of him, he seems very shrewd and it seems he knows how to play the game. He also has aspirations and having a judge in his pocket wouldn't hurt. He may have gotten word to whoever that he wanted Kofi to not only be accused but to also plead guilty to the murder. Hope that makes some kind of sense 🙂
  3. I thought he plead guilty because of the threat to his family. The gang leader basically said plead guilty = family safe, otherwise ...
  4. I feel bad for him too. Am I mistaken or did Tariq lie? I wasn't paying close attention but did he claim Riley came on to him more than once? I know about them being in Bryden's brother's room but he had no memory of that. Once the brother verified the room situation, did Tariq then believe Riley hit on him? I was so wrong about Monet last week! So she didn't put the "hit" on Cane. I wonder though if she told Lorenzo about being knocked to the ground by Cane. If she did, I'm surprised she wasn't expecting some kind of physical retribution against Cane. I wish there was more Saxe/Davis/trial.
  5. I kept saying "they gon rob you boy" lol True but this can end up working against her/them and I hope it does. It wasn't a wise move for Monet to make it clear she belonged to Lorenzo and not Ramirez. A man scorned and all. This was as stupid as leaving the phones right there for Diana and Dru after all her big talk about "no phones!" I thought it was an accident too but when Monet looked up at Cane I said "she's gonna kill her first born" lol. I really did think she was going to have him hit and not by Lorenzo's prison guards. I want to see the brunch with Braydon, Tariq and Uncle Nancy's sister LOL Saxe and Cheese aka Davis are becoming the most entertaining part of this show for me and Tariq and MJB are still MVPs for Most Cringeworthy Acting lol I hope I'm right in thinking Saxe knows he's being played by Davis.
  6. For me, saying Chris Rock was a miscast is being nice. He is simply a bad actor. I thought the kid playing Satchel was bad too so that last scene with Loy and Satchel was cringeworthy. I’m pretty indifferent about this season and am glad I have the movie and seasons 1 and 2 when I’m in a Fargo mood.
  7. For me I think it’s this plus I don’t think Chris Rock can act. Did anyone see what the piece of paper Calamita found in Rabbi’s room said?
  8. She did.
  9. I was planning to comment on this episode and say Chris Rock is amazingly awful.
  10. To quote Omar a’Coming Little from the best show eva(The Wire) McNulty: Omar on the street with no gun Omar: Sometimes who you are is enough dawg I’m guessing Monet’s name gets her some level of respect/fear and Quap and crew are no Marlo, Chris and Snoop 😂
  11. I don’t know which was worse. Uncle Frank talking about how the daughter filled out or Auntie MJB being ready to pump out her daughter for information. Bobby Brown kill yo mama please.
  12. So that’s how they speak in colleges classes these days? Hell here we come. Will Tariq ever be on time? He’s as arrogant as Ghost was. Not only is he late again but he hasn’t even read the book (again). It’s official. Zoe, I mean Carrie is on my nerve. Why is she having a vigil so Tariq can have a “safe space” 🙄 And did I hear right that she’s a sex addict? Sad because I like ML but I’d be ok with Bobby Brown cancelling Christmas on her. Still liking Cheese playing lawyer. And finally, MJB still can’t act. I didn’t think there was a person alive who was as horrid as 50 cent but oooweee MJB giving him a run for his money.
  13. Just watched and will likely continue even though Tariq still cant act and neither can MJB. It was good to see Cheese on the other side of the game. And Bobby Brown killing folks. Lawd!
  14. It took me a minute but I finally said that’s Randall’s wife. The hair definitely through me and I wish she could have worn her natural hair. I hope we see Rachel again and am I the only one who thought there was something between her and Mark when he took her home?
  15. I was actually floored with their reactions, especially the mom. I thought you just discovered your child is found and found alive and that's all you've got? And Grace's father. Apparently, he gave in and gave Judd his blessing to marry Grace but I wonder if he's still "hostile" toward the redneck LOL Since they've been renewed, I hope we learn more about Grace's family.
  16. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw that Judd's dad is Brenda Leigh Johnson's daddy LOL I loved him on The Closer and I am loving him here. I love that Dad calls Grace Gracie. It was good seeing Grace and Judd present a united front when dealing with Dad. Judd taking Grace's hand just before broaching the subject of Dad's living arrangements was a small thing but it was another example of how they are in this thing called life together. Dad having is own personal 911 operator is the bomb! LOL And Grace is definitely made for the job. She was so calm when dealing with him. I expected to see some level of panic but Grace remained steady. Dad saying Judd doesn't have to know about this was hilarious. Poor Dad didn't know there are no secrets in the Ryder marriage . I do like that Judd accepted that he can't control what his dad does but did what he could do. I feel him there. My mom is 82, lives alone and is over 400 miles from me. She's as stubborn as Dad and insists she can still take care of herself. I appreciate that Stuart accepted Grace and Judd's terms. I wonder if my mom would accept a medical alert bracelet if I offered.
  17. Judd and Grace are why I decided to check this show out. And I really have fallen for Grace and I love their dynamic as well. I like that we see them communicating and we even see Judd listening. I too love the way they are portraying Grace as a Christian. She wasn't beating Judd over the head or being judgmental. She spoke the truth in love and sadly that is what is missing too often.
  18. I binged this show this weekend and now I'm caught up. As I was watching, I kept referring to her as She Elf 🤣 I liked that too. And I referred to him as Rob Lowe, not Owen. 🤣 Yeah I took it as a jab at Judd not Grace and I still take it that way.
  19. I think at the root of it was the fact that Ghost left them for Angelia especially since they showed him saying it in the previously on Power. I can buy Tariq's resentment at it and Ghost making them meet Angela which makes me think Tariq felt they were being forced to accept his mistress. I can buy that this festered with Tariq. I agree about Tariq's "love" for Kanaan. It's much harder for me to buy this "love" and "loyalty" devoted to Kanaan. Maybe it was all about getting back at Ghost. Am I recalling correctly that Tasha said something about Ghost being slow about signing the divorce papers? I'm like others who don't get why Tasha point her finger at what's his name. Yes Dre was dead but what made her think Dre being dead meant he couldn't have possibly killed Ghost?
  20. Tommy and Elisa Marie. That is all.
  21. The thing for me is Ghost needs to lead by example. Tariq needs to turn himself in yet Ghost doesn’t? I mean really? I don’t see how Ghost said that with a straight face or maybe I do. He’s so full of shit, so full of himself.
  22. Apparently so. I rolled my eyes during most of the episode.
  23. I think in Tasha’s mind Keisha was a threat to Tariq especially when she found out Keisha signed those papers. Once she recants on the Tariq alibi its the beginning of the end for him or so Tasha thinks. Wonder what she’s gonna do when she finds out there is physical evidence tying Tariq to Ray Ray.
  24. What HBO stuff? I'm so glad the writers know this is the last season so they can wrap things up. The last few shows I've invested in ended up being cancelled with bonafide cliffhangers which is the worst.
