  1. What? The writers are making someone do something totally uncharacteristic of what we know of them? See Arizona. At least twice. Character asasination is the specialty of this show's writers.
  2. Fortunately or unfortunately, I did watch Private Practice and I always thought Amelia was a shrieking harpy. She has always been petulant, entitled and self-centered so I thoroughly enjoyed Meredith giving her the smackdown. I actually think that Amelia being Derek's sister is why Mere didn't tell her off sooner. Why oh why did we get stuck with Amelia? They should have given us Charlotte King instead. Best character on PP.
  3. Is it a surprise to anyone that Rocky's last act on that boat was diving into the water in a completely white outfit, climbing on board to get her stuff and running away? That is not attention seeking behavior at all, or...
  4. Did anyone see that after show they did last week with 2 of the people from People's Couch hosting? It was mostly fluff but you got a lot of insight into no one should date James ever. I blame his age in part but he really is just disgusting. He basically said he was a really good boyfriend to Kristen when she was being good to him but when she started her usual Kristen b.s. it was a justification for him to be a complete sh*t person. She's awful, don't get me wrong but it doesn't give him a pass for cheating, lying, etc. People like this create the Kristens of the world. How much more insecure and distrusting do you think she'll be now?
  5. The single greatest moment Penny has had on this show to date was telling Callie to shut up. I had been saying it in my mind pretty much all episode so I was glad she finally stood up for herself making Callie finally realize what Meredith and Richard were basically saying. Penny wasn't the one complaining about her treatment, right or wrong--that was Callie. I was glad Penny finally stood up for herself with both Callie and Meredith and I think that alone will make her work under Meredith much more productive. Callie, I have only this to say to you: As for Jo, i'm in total agreement with Chicken Wing. I'm not crying for Jo because she's doing enough of it for herself. Grow up! Richard as Arizona's wingman was pretty much the best. I hope they explore that relationship a little, it was fun. Plus, give Arizona something to do already.
  6. Leave it to Rocky to once again neglect her work duties to put on that stupid mermaid tail and go flop around the beach and scare the guests. While I think Eddie is behaving like a complete jerk in this scenario, I can't blame him for wanting to stay away from Rocky's particular brand of crazy. Especially now knowing that she started following Amy on Instagram--that is some serious crazy stalker stuff going on. Unfortunately this has backfired on him and now his ignoring her has had the result of her needing sympathy and attention from Emile and Amy while simultaneously, and I think intentionally, blowing Eddie's shit up. This is definitely a "see what happens when you ignore me?" type scenario. Kudos to Amy for telling Emile to have some respect for Rocky and let her handle the situation on her own. Too bad Rocky doesn't have any respect for herself.
  7. There were a couple of moments of total Cheez Whiz that took me completely out of the moment during this episode and both relating to the little boy. I was totally into the surgery until Jackson cheesily announced "we've got five fingers people!" The second moment was when the kid realized he had hands and Jackson high fived him. I totally stopped sobbing and just stared at the tv like someone farted. I wish they'd just let a moment be a moment without trying to force a particular feeling on the audience. I feel like that tends to backfire. As for Penny, I don't mind her story if it forces the other characters to work through their own crap but what I do mind is the total lack of chemistry with Callie. Let them be friends but i'm not buying that relationship. I seem to recall somewhere there being an article talking about how much we would enjoy her and Arizona's respective relationships these year and so far i'm a HELL no. The kiss just reminded me of how much more chemistry Callie has with everyone else, including the audience. She deserves better. It must makes me think of the early stages of Callie and Arizona. That was fun and exciting and you wanted to see where it went. I don't need to see Callie/Penny go anywhere but the breakup bin. Please stop it now.
  8. Anyone else notice that the cat tail Connie was sporting was actually the weave that the guest left on board a few charters ago? I thought that was a nice touch. As for Connie's rant about Rocky, it's clear that something sparked that conversation that we weren't shown so i'm giving her a pass. That conversation didn't come out of nowhere the second Rocky left, it had to have happened. I did love the editing juxtaposing Rocky proving Connie's points as she made them.
  9. Shocking to me that people are saying Kate should be fired especially considering Captain Lee's blog straight out says that the fire was Leon's fault. Nobody lost their job due to the fire. Kate could have gone in and said there was grease all over the oven but we never saw that, did we? What we saw was Leon acting like a petulant child as he has been all season. If you are going to act like a total dick, at least do it out of earshot of the Captain, LEON. Kate wasn't blameless in their volatile relationship but at least she kept plugging away and kept trying to be civil to make the charter work. That's what adults do at work. Kate and Amy are the reason that evening's dinner was a success. Kate gets the job done and with a minimum of bitching. Leon's behavior during the incident report was embarrassing but what really put him over the top was the allegations against Kate that she had been drinking. Anyone else think Rocky had something to do with that part? Rocky who ASKED Kate to leave the galley to help the guests put on a DVD and said she could handle things downstairs. Rocky definitely should have been fired, especially if she really left for SEVEN hours to have her little pity party. She's beyond unprofessional. Eddie saved her with the steaks. I can't believe she actually graduated from culinary school, maybe she walked past it and thought that counted.
  10. 1. Jo is rapidly becoming the Lady Edith of Downton Anatomy and I'm fine with that, I find both totally annoying. 2. Don't you think Penny would know who was on the board of the hospital where she was matched? Does she know Callie is on the board? If so, she'd have to know Derek and Mere were also, it just seems so odd. 3. I don't think we've seen Ellis at all, I can't remember if we actually got to see her when she was born. They kind of did the time jump after the episode where she gave birth--the day Alex was called as her emergency contact.
  11. If this show has a 90 year old pregnant woman on it, I give up.
  12. Presumably he did or at the very least didn't say no thank you if he's offering up excuses as to why he didn't go. No?
  13. While I don't think Brooks is under any obligation to Shannon's doctors, I do think he's under the obligation to be honest about it instead of faking flat tires. It's not "thanks so much for your concern and your efforts but I have a medical team I trust right now and I'm going to stick with them for the time being." So much unnecessary drama could have been avoided if he had just been a grown-up about it.
  14. Lets be honest, which one of us, if we were told 2 months of Meghan and Jim's marriage was "challenging", wouldn't think it meant "bad?" I know that's the impression I got so in this case, I'm giving Tam-balls a pass. I do like that she went straight to the source when she heard what Brooks said about her instead of talking about it to everyone who will listen. "Consider the source" was a stupid thing for Brooks to say. Obviously everyone knows that's disparaging. It's also deflective behavior because while Tamra is shady, she didn't make up this conversation, it actually happened. He was saving his own and Vicky's asses. His quick response indicated to me how calculated he really can be. Just like a little red flag that went up in my mind. As for Ryan, he clearly knows how to manipulate his mom. He's trying to make it seem like it's just the two of them in it against the world so he can get what he wants. He knows she feels guilty about both the divorce from his dad and putting him into that situation with Simon the psychopath. At the time I thought Simon's rules would help but Simon turned out to be as nutty as everyone else and may have just succeeded in schooling Ryan in the fine art of emotional manipulation and abuse.
  15. I hate my DVR. It cut off BEFORE Mark stepped onto the porch. I had no idea it happened until now but it makes me feel better because I couldn't believe they'd live things THAT unresolved. Oh and Lennon clearly has some kind of history with the Loggins love, his music all over the Womp It Up Podcasts. Which I'll be re-listening to while I re-binge-watch Playing House...like the entire series. I can't get enough of Parham and St. Clair.
  16. Apparently Ryan was treated for PTSD. http://www.bravotv.com/the-daily-dish/ryan-culberson-im-getting-help-for-ptsd
  17. Excuse me if this was mentioned on the 2 pages of commentary I haven't gotten to yet but I'm 100% team Briana on this one. She has every right to want to keep her family away from Brooks considering what he said to Ryan when he got drunk what was it, 2 seasons ago? I wouldn't want my kids near someone who suggested my husband smack me around to keep me in line either. I don't care if he was drunk when he said it, the fact that he even has that in him to say would be enough for me to stay clear of him forever. As for Meghan's comments on BRCA testing, from what I understand from when my mom had Cancer, if you are tested and get a positive result, this is now considered a pre-existing condition. So prior to Obamacare this would have meant people weren't assured coverage. When she asked why nobody in her family would have had that test, I think this could be an easy answer. Not everyone has the Jim...Edmonds money.
  18. That wasn't Brooks. I seem to remember at the time Tamra saying that it was actually a Donn doppelganger.
  19. All I can think of when I see Meghan in those ridiculous headpieces is this:
  20. I'm pretty sure it was something like LOCK the spider cage. The implication being that Bruce didn't so it's his fault that his uncle died. Of course.
  21. So I guess we'll never find out about Brooks? http://www.realitytea.com/2015/07/31/heather-dubrow-shes-changed-brooks-ayers-faking-cancer-last-season-terrible/
  22. Here's the thing that bothers me about Brooks and his cancer, and I'm sure things have changed since my mom had it 10 years ago (sasha206 you can probably confirm--sorry to hear about your husband), but rule #1 during chemo was that she was not allowed to have uncooked fruit or vegetables. The whole rationale was that eaten raw, they could compromise her immune system and cooking them would kill off any bacteria thereby making them safe. So to hear that books is juicing is a red flag to me. Again, maybe things have changed but I would want my loved one to be as safe and careful as humanly possible. I'd be cooking any fruits or vegetables and having them drinking bottled water. I also wouldn't take them on vacation or GO on vacation without them during treatment. Brooks is the tannest and most fit cancer patient I've ever seen. As for Meghan, psh, I can't even waste brain cells by thinking about her. Bye Felicia.
  23. I feel like I must have missed something. When was it stated that "naked guy" was the bar owner? I got the impression naked guy was just a friend of Lu's conquest for the evening. That led me to believe it was someone entirely different that we didn't see on camera especially because Ramona was CLEARLY into bar owner but later stated she didn't so much as kiss drunk guy and wasn't interested, she was just playing wing man. If i'm correct, that is definitely not a win for Ramona. She got "A" guy but not "THE" guy.
  24. For those hating on Heather for packing her clothes in tissue paper, my mom does it too. It's an old school trick for avoiding wrinkled clothing. My mom has tried to get us to do that too but I don't have the time or the tissue paper. She had a huge stock of white paper she kept in her suitcase specifically for packing. If you look it up, you'll find it's actually a packing tip. So if you hate on Heather for that, you also have to hate on my mama so don't do that or I'll be sad. :P
  25. This may be nit picky (and Megan is a nit) but why did she dye her hair PINK? Is she aware that each type of cancer has a different color associated with it? Pink is not the color for colon cancer. Maybe if she had done some research, she could have dyed her hair dark blue and i'd think it was nice. I'm clinging to the hope the pink may have been the woman's favorite color but I'm skeptical.
