  1. Why would they do that? It admits a failure on their part and hers - this way (if you don't read between the lines), everything seems amicable for both parties.
  2. I don't think they were worrying about being renewed - despite the commentary on TPTB worrying about lower ratings, they never really did change any talking points, or change their tune about any perceived unpopular storylines. They're still pushing Mad Dog and the newbies, still not talking favorably about O/F and giving interviews about Oliver and Susan's real feels, so...I think that whatever we wind up getting at the end of the season is probably going to be close to what they planned on doing anyway.
  3. That fragile peace died with the breakup - with Felicity being too "whiny" about "something that wasn't her business" and the focus shifting to Oliver's manpain over the breakup and wanting to get back together again. They just...should not do romantic drama. Ever. It's terrible, and pretty much no one enjoys it.
  4. She could wind up being all right. There was a day a long time ago when I wanted character motivation for putting on a costume and getting a superhero name, and I wanted to see people fail at it before they succeeded. At this point with all these useless newbies running around, just give her some leather, give her a mask, and then just shove her in the background somewhere with limited time spent on the discussion and evaluation of her own personal island pls.
  5. At this point I hope they just slap a mask on her and call it a day. Please do not go with a lengthy suit-up period. I do not have it me to watch yet another drawn-out origin story for someone I don't care about.
  6. Total guess on my part - Tina's going to have lost someone in her past, and Oliver is going to relate to her through his loss of Laurel. I'm not sure if she'll get the name with the costume or one will come before the other, but I'm guessing Oliver's going to reveal to her that there's something about her that reminds him of Laurel, and that's why she'll decide to take the name.
  7. Not really - you're doing it right now?
  8. Maybe he's talking about the in-season viewing only available on The CW site and app? That'd only be three months old at this point.
  9. But that doesn't have anything to do with previous traffic? They've had episodes up for viewing on the site and in the app prior to three months ago - so they can compare the traffic now that Hulu doesn't have streaming rights to what they got previously when it did. Also - what is this service he's talking about, anyone know? I know the app is different than it used to be and you have to sit through commercials now when you didn't have to before, but that started last season, so...not sure what they've had going on for three months now.
  10. No they don't - pretty sure viewers have been able to watch episodes of the show on the website and app since S1.
  11. I think it's weird that the back half of the article focuses on the "possibility" of Laurel coming on the shows following a quote from GB that she actually IS going to be on three of them? I guess that's what you get on a pay per post site.
  12. Rutina Wesley (Lady Cop), Kelly Hu (China White), and Amy Gumenick (Cupid)
  13. Wild Dog flashbacks in 5x13? Cool, cool, just the guy I wanted to know more about!
  14. I don't think she's dating that guy anymore (an opinion based solely on her social media activity).
  15. I obviously can't say for certain, but I don't think the issue with Charlotte is that they didn't have money to add another regular, it's that they didn't want to spend what money they did have on her.
  16. Nothing wrong with aiming for another milestone once you hit one. That's all he's doing.
  17. ::menacingly pulls something out of his jacket:: "I drew something for you."
  18. I would also need him to rip off his mask at one point and say "Hi Dad." And then creatively destroy his old Green Arrow action figure.
  19. I think TR deserving better than what he got depends on the reason why he signed up in the first place, which we'll never know. It could be that he had something else going on and the minimal time commitment was one of the reasons he took the role.
  20. I bet the person in that costume is Stuntman #3, haha.
  21. Do you remember what the sides said about this Carlos person? You mentioning that maybe he was a kid reminded me of that convo that Rene had with...Curtis, maybe? Or Rory? about kids and how there seemed to be more to that, like maybe Rene had a child. I wonder if there's some connection there.
  22. Yeah, I'm confused. The article linked to in the SCPD text is: So...maybe she's a detective in this new city that they go on a road trip to?
  23. I'll amend my previous answer to: this show hasn't ever been into taking its time with anything OR making a whole lot of sense, haha. Really, it doesn't make sense to bring anyone else in until Prometheus is finally dealt with, since he'll have gotten the drop on them twice with people they (kind of) trusted - Evelyn and not!Laurel. So the premise that they bring anyone else in at all is stupid, so I guess the timing of it at that point doesn't much matter. I figured maybe Felicity did some background research on her - and using knowledge of what she's been through is how Oliver would approach her and persuade her to join the team (like he did with Rory), thus sparking this "connection," whatever it may be (I'm assuming her painful past - or at least part of it - will be similar to his in some way). My two preferred methods of bringing Tina on at this point since they're going to do it with breakneck speed regardless is that: 1. They find out that she has some connection to something that they think can help defeat Prometheus (what this would be, I have no freaking idea) and/or 2. Someone else on the team knows her and can at least vouch for her character. #2 would be my preferred option, though at this point I'm expecting them to go with the dumbest possible explanation, which is basically picking a stranger up off the streets because she can do fighty type stuff.
  24. No, the winter preview on TVLine mentions that Diggle emerges from his imprisonment with more drive and less fatalism - and that he's going to come up against Colonel Walker and "grow closer to Adrian Chase."
