  1. I thought it was clear she wasn't trying to be swift or kind or good at killing him. She was torturing him, the way he had done to her, through killing so many in her life. She hurt him with her words and every stab wound. And then when he thought there was going to be a ray of hope as the police approached, she dispatched any chance of that.
  2. I liked the ending. Yeah, Cam was kinda obvious from about episode 3 on, but still, it was good. Unlike some, I especially enjoyed that Sarah cut him repeatedly. I've always been annoyed at the end, when the heroine runs out the door and leaves the person who has been DESTROYING their life alive. She locked that door and I cheered. I didn't stop until she slashed the throat. I'm glad she did, but DAMN.
  3. I'm immediately struck by a division between early boots (pre-merge), mid-game (jury), and finalists. Can't imagine how I'd dress that up to casual viewers, though. Winners vs Losers vs Nobodies? Sound rough.
  4. Love the term, but from post-interviews it seems the plan was to vote out Jenny anyhow. Editing just didn't show us that.
  5. I give up. I guess it must be Klaas.
  6. Count me as NOT on Team Klaas is the Mole. I'm still fixated on something about Taeke. Silly question, because I haven't seen several seasons... Has the Dutch Wie is Die Mol ever done an elimninate the mole and then bring them back sort of thing?
  7. Tim and Art. YUM. Taeke is also... of interest to me. (There's a pic of him in some shorts that brings this interest about.)
  8. Best season I can recall: if you're starting WIDM, I recommend this one the most. (I don't recall too many spoilers, though there's one thing that gets spoiled if you watch later seasons before this one...) I was totally wrong on the mole (I thought it was the runner-up most of the season). The personalities, challenges, location, and the mole themself were just so amazing!
  9. I'm interested to hear more about the idea that the season had to be re-worked (and why). So, I judge a season on multiple fronts and this one fell flat for me on all accounts... The mole was underwhelming for me (as they often are when they're not your suspect). The challenges were uninspired for me, too. The location, while a beauty, was not fully utilized. I did not guess the mole correctly- at all. Every time I started to zero in on a suspect, they were eliminated (a good feeling, though). The ultimate identity of the mole should have been obvious upon reflection, though, based on the group's behavior. Did they ALL know who the mole was?
  10. This is probably my favorite season. I understand your feelings toward it, Snide, but I felt the mole did an excellent job balancing sabotage and camouflage. The challenges were low-key and sometimes ones that left me questioning how much a player would really be able to mess with them if they were the mole, but I was satisfied with the ways in which the mole made their goals happen. The opera house with the organ is the single greatest moment / set-piece in all of the Mole for me. Yeah, it kinda was pointless in the end and really helped nobody. But it creeped me out and kept me guessing. I *did* correctly identify the mole this season, after spending the first half of the season stuck on them and the person who was ultimately runner-up. The math didn't lie in this case: the mole sabotaged money in creative ways, but they still stuck out on a spreadsheet.
  11. This season, I had built an entire case around the mole being... the person who ended up being the Runner up. I wouldn't say this was the worst season, but I felt like the mole was underwhelming and the constestants did a lot of sabotaging themselves (as they always do). In fact, the mole was someone I had "eliminated" from suspicion after just a few episodes. The locations were absolutely beautiful, though.
  12. I'm so glad there's a place to discuss this and I'm officially all caught up! My top Mole suspects: Tim = My top suspect when I examine only how people are going about earning money for the pot and their actions during challenges. He seems to really enjoy burning time in challenges with very small things that add up. He also seems to be creating some minor discord and miscommunication among the group, which can result in long-term problems. Cecile = My top female suspect and person who seems to know way more than they should in advance. When they did the tag, I immediately noticed her white skinny jeans, but then they focused on it. Essentially, a lot of her choices seem to reflect pre-knowledge of the task. Taeke = Complicated suspect. When we first met Ellie Lust, I was actually quite excited to see her in action: a powerful, intelligent woman who was ready to solve a mystery (or be it). But, the more I watch, the more I'm convinced of two things... 1) if she's a contestant, then she's doing a horrible job at both the tasks and actual investigation while also mole-ing to the level of being unbelievable as a suspect and 2) if she's the mole then she's being way too obvious and yet not losing as much for the pot as she could. (Would it be interesting to have an over-the-top obvious mole? No? Ok.) So, if I've dismissed Ellie as the mole, but it looks like Taeke has NOT. It seems Taeke is going after Ellie and given the questions, if he was focused on Ellie and it wasn't her, he'd probably be in more trouble by now... if he isn't the mole. (I've dismissed Rop, Ellie and Annemieke as the mole, each for several reasons. I mix up Cecile and... Mar... Mareliyn?.. the other one? a lot.) Do we know who either of the eliminated were targeting as the mole? Random question: which do you think is the better approach to the laser challenge? Slow and steady or blaze through?
  13. There was a blind item this morning on the radio about a television show that had finished a season to abysmal ratings that would be getting a second season. ...This has to be Scream Queens, right? (I just can't think of another show that "finished" and had bad ratings...)
  14. I'm pretty sure that's just light (moonlight, perhaps) reflecting off of a leaf?
  15. Consider Gigi and Boone are dead, there's supposedly only ONE killer remaining. BUT... The previews for Episode 11 show: --Chad and Pete running from what appears to be a Red Devil. --The Channels all being attacked/running from the Red Devil (three times, all four present) --Zayday and Grace hiding from something (implied Red Devil) Previously, we've seen: --Gigi's conversations with Wes which free him from being the remaining killer. --Dean Munsch attacked by Red Devils. If we're down to one killer remaining and we take all of this at face value, the only character remaining who could even be the killer is Denise. But, I don't buy that. There's a fourth killer. Wes would kind of make sense if they take the father angle. Grace would make sense if they take the sisters angle.
  16. It was proposed over the most glorious Thanksgiving dinner where everyone watches this show that we will see a ridiculous Murder on the Orient Express situation, where everyone killed someone and everyone is guilty in some way. We've seen the Dean kill and get away with it. We've seen Chanel do the same. What if they're the only two who aren't killers?
  17. Thank you for taking an interest in my question. I realize now I gave very little to go on. My concern is that if I skip ahead, will plots or stories between episodes be ruined? Or are there any just amazing episodes to skip to? Let me start by saying what I like so far... EP 1.01 = An old woman's murder brings new attention to an old crime. Slow but interesting with many suspects and fake-outs. While I had the solution pegged, I enjoyed the ride but didn't care for the lead's family and at-home storyline. I would, however, watch episodes like this all the time. EP 1.02 = A murder within a book club leads... somewhere. This episode I felt was mired by dropped plotlines and very little intrigue. The solution felt a little out-of-left-field to me, but at the same time there were few suspects. I would skip this episode. So now I'm going to watch episode 3. I don't quite want to skip ahead; I want to learn to appreciate this. Perhaps I'll keep this updated for anyone else with the same thoughts (of wanting to know what to skip...)
  18. Okay, so I'm going to ask it. I want to get into this show badly. But, after watching the first two, I'm a little uninspired. SO... What would be your recommended viewing guide for all episodes? What episodes are the worst and can be skipped?
  19. Did Hester's neck snap? Or her neck-brace-gear which suddenly re-appeared in this episode just in time for it to be of use...
  20. List of Logic: ---We likely only have one unmarked killer: the Red Devil. So, from here on, I'm only referring to that person as "the killer" whereas others- Boone and Gigi are merely "a killer". ---Gigi referred to Boone as the killer's brother. This strongly ties to that the killer is the other bathtub baby. ---We have been led to believe the remaining killer is the other bathtub baby and we've been led to believe this baby was born female. ---Zayday cannot be the killer, as it makes little sense for Boone to have tried so strongly to seduce his... sister and co-conspirator. ---Chanel #5 (Breslin) has been attacked by a killer far too many times with sheer terror to be the killer. ---Similarly, Denise was attacked by the killer recently and it's unlikely she is Boone's sister. ---Chanel #3's interraction with Boone pretty much eliminates her as the potential killer- she wouldn't be surprised by Boone if she were the killer. ---All of the original Chanels are accounted for during far too many murders, though it's possible they're playing with time in presentation. ---Dean Munsch was attacked by three killers, so her being the killer makes very little sense. ---Every character murdered by a killer (other than Hester) has been visually pretty much confirmed dead at this point (Deaf Taylor Swift excepted). ---Sam saw who the killer was when she died and recognized them (and "knew it"). ---Sam had little interraction with Pete and Chad, so either being the killer would make less sense (she also had little interaction with Boone). ---Grace argued with Gigi about the killer, when Gigi would know who the killer is. ---Grace's motivation and inner monologue make little sense if she is indeed the killer. So... Theoretical Killers: 1) Hester. This makes the most sense and doesn't break any of the above logic. Her "death" was most likely meant to throw us off the trail of thinking she's an option. Especially if they keep her "dead" into next episode for a bit. When I first saw the cast list, I thought... I'd make Ariana Grande or Lea Michele a killer. It's the same effect as Scream 4: pick someone known for playing/being a goodie. And then Chanel #2 died... Hester repeatedly disappears in scenes and has been present since episode 1. She also bears some resemblance to Boone. Additionally, Hester has foreshadowed and fore-warned the group repeatedly, most recently with the story of "there's somebody in your back seat" story. She is never afraid of the peril and horror around her and brought about the situations which led to the discovery of our first corpse collection in the haunted house. 2) Grace. This has some problems with the logic. If Hester really is dead (and she isn't) or Hester isn't the killer, this is the only female character who makes any kind of sense. But there's so many problems with the things we've heard Grace thinking and/or her interractions with others. That said, maybe Grace is crazy. It would also shed light on why Gigi insists that Grace needs to be put in an asylum. However, in the most recent preview, we see Grace face-to-face with the Red Devil. This kind of reveal both makes me think she isn't the killer and that she also is being setup to appear a little guilty from the preview. I've got more to say here in favor of Grace being the killer, but I'll edit it in a bit later. 3) Pete. This would be out of left-field. I suppose there's enough evidence to make this make sense. Ryan Murphy loves to mess with our expectations and loves to throw in socially aware plotlines, so I think the repeated appearance of a pink blanket is forcing us to believe that the other baby was a girl- or still is a girl. Pete could be transgender. That said, I think Pete as the killer is the most unsatisfying option among the whole cast; he's missing from multiple episodes and when he is present he's forgettable. Still, when I sit and think about that old trick of making the killer somoene in the background of the story, Pete fits pretty well. 4) Someone we are certain is dead. Chanel #2 being the killer would be cheap, but I guess it could happen. I've even wondered at how they've ditched the whole plotline about the killing of the maid. We never actually saw the death of Deaf Taylor Swift, but then, how would they really show that? And pretty much every other character we think is dead... has to be dead. Having someone long dead pop back up as the killer would be awful. Unless it's Hester. 5) Someone who breaks the rules. If we ignore all evidence and learn that Denise is actually the bathtub baby who time-traveled from the future to go on a killing spree. well, that would be ridiculous. I expect that the solution will have to be built upon at least SOME of the logic we've been presented. I realize there might be a sensational bit included (transgender elements, race not being a factor, the baby not even mattering) but there's only so much that will be acceptable, comedy or not. So, all of that said, all of my money is on Hester. I've also entertained a whole theory about Chanel #3 being the killer because of how much we hear about her father being Manson... and what if the bathtub baby twins were fathered by Manson? He would have been incarcerated and in his 60s, though... so alas, no.
  21. Spoiler-ish talk taken from other threads, so credit goes to multiple posters: Last episode we saw Hester's "death" when she was pushed down the stairs last episode. BUT... 1) She was wearing her neck-brace again, suddenly and convieniently. This could have saved her and could have resulted in that sound effect. 2) There are promo photos of the deceased saying "See Ya!" but Hester's says "See Ya?" 3) Lea Michele has been pretty well confirmed to be on-set and in scenes after her character's aparent demise.
  22. She was second in the elimination poll in Week 2 (when Shirin went) and second again after Stephen last week. Many people pegged PG. Just the sheep followed those claiming Stephen. EDITED TO ADD: It's really sad to see people suddenly re-coloring their read of the edit to justify that Jeff goes next. Sure, he could. But everyone's taking that list as the holy grail when it has one very clear and obvious error...
  23. This boot list nonsense has to stop. A source close to production on another site (am I allowed to link?) debunked that list. It was posted the day before Shirin's boot- which was insanely obvious. PG was also heavily predicted. Though, if Jeff really does go next, I'll eat my words.
  24. Seems possible- except... I don't think Scream Queens has come in last as the blind item says? (I thought CBS and NBC have the most struggling new shows...). Yeah, it seems to hint at Scream Queens, but sometimes they do misdirect.
  25. I actually really liked it. It took a lot of the strengths from Glee's hateful writing and put it into a setting with American Horror Story's unsettling vibe combined with Popular's camp. When you're watching "horror" for some, when there's a joke, the general unsettling vibe will allow those jokes to strike you unawares and suddenly it'll be more funny. Think Sunday morning preacher making a lame joke in the middle of a sermon: funniest thing ever. I'd give it good scores and look forward to where it can go. ALSO: the "promise not to touch my wiener" scene was about the funniest/weirdest thing I've seen in a long time.
