This is a light vague spoiler for the future:

Listen- I'm not someone who knows everything about American Idol. I don't think I've followed an entire season (except maybe when David Cook won), but it must be said that- for me- this episode was a major shark jump. There were multiple contestants going through that just made me feel weird. I get that some of these people have amazing stories and personality... but you don't let people through in a singing competition because they seem nice.

I know it's been a bizarre 10 months since your post, but considering they are, have your thoughts changed? I've also heard we'll have an episode (either here or in Texas) dealing with problematic experiences of anti-mask or misinformation. My initial reaction is how divisive the episode could be. I'm interested what others may think.

I've thought for a long while that's the point of WandaVision. But since the X-Men films had basically reached the end of their life with FOX, I'm happy to see them cherry-picking some of the better actors/characters. For example... I think Beast, Cyclops, and Storm were great (and can age alongside the franchise). Fassbender and McAvoy are excellent as well. But the writing... It very likely isn't just an easter egg.

Circle of Life = JTT was Simba in the original Lion King Child Star = obvious ...but it's almost certainly Hunter Hayes.

There's a YouTube video from about a week ago that said Drogon get shot/blown up. It is from a different source so it seems to be speculation. That said the video was correct about a lot of Episode 4 content as well and lines up with the spoilers. Could be fleak.

Okay, I watched this to see what it was all about finally. Next time is Disney. I fully anticipate Ada sings "Reflection" from Mulan and pulls the wig off at some point.

So I am not actively following this show and have no dog in this race, but I'm told that "Catie" got the most votes of the top 6 and that "Jonny" got the least of everyone **via the American Idol app**. Sorry to have no source; disregard me if you must. I also hear that overall it was relatively close in the middle.

They're clearly going for "hive mind" right? Which somewhat still speaks to the political and cult themes...

Absolutely agree that you can tell that it isn't the Ozarks. I live fairly close and have been many times, and it feels actually less nature-y than the Ozarks are. However, I think the portrayal of the non-tourist people is a bit spot-on. They always seem to be excessively bored with a dislike of outsiders. You'll still hear slurs like the r-word or the f-word.

I completely agree that this feels like Breaking Bad. I felt somewhat lukewarm toward the first episode. I mean, I want to keep watching, but if this show somehow were to disappear from my queue, I wouldn't go searching for it. I'm on for episode two.

Are we certain Leann is eliminated? There will be a season 6 for sure, but man it's starting to wear thin...

Everyone seems quick to say that the ladies should have booted Brad... mainly because it seems like viewers don't like Brad and do like the ladies. That in itself should explain the choice. Gotta keep them goats around.

Really just have two thoughts: 1) In reviews of the show (before I'd seen it), I kept reading that the ending made no sense and explained nothing. Uh, pretty much everything made sense (aside from how nobody else seemed to care that their loved ones disappeared). Did they add scenes or were some reviews (IGN) just kind of dense? 2) Is this going to be an anthology show like American Horror Story? Or will Season 2 build upon the existing world?

After talking to an an acquaintance who was involved somewhat with S6, I'm left thinking there will be more than 13 episodes remaining.

I hate it when people misuse (or even just overapply) the term goat. They were not the goats in 31. Some people apply "goat" to anyone who doesn't win in FTC. A goat is someone who won't win against anyone. Both could have won against certain combinations, Tasha less so than Spencer.

Agreed that it's an unhealthy community under questionably over-censoring leadership. Oh, well. I think this is now my official favorite and most consistent place to really dig into and discuss spoilers. Let's keep it that way and be great to one another.

The Good: America was surprised by the less obvious aspects- that survival was also a mental and political game. The Bad: This season had too many people who didn't realize the gravity of the game they were playing. Lesson Learned: Alliances exist, so don't expose your plans to others you shouldn't trust. 02 - Australia Biggest Moment: The fire, which shocked America with production's non-interference Biggest Characters: Colby the Cowboy and the original man-crush of Probst, Lisabeth the Hasselbeck, Amber the Boston-bound, Jerri the black widow Dumbest Move: Kel giving into the group's thoughts that he secretly had beef jerky. The Good: This season was played with a lot of heart and emotion, and the winner reflects that. The Bad: It's often implied that this was one of the more creatively edited seasons and we missed a lot. Lesson Learned: Don't go to the end with people you can't beat. Don't go close to the end with people you can't betray.

It's also worth noting that... if Tai had used the super idol to save Scot, Tai would have gone home in a revote.

Michelle and Joe are so background, I can't see either winning. I think Aubry and Tai have the best shot to win, just based on the way the story is being told.
