  1. I'm right there with you in that minority. It did feel slow which is the only feeling I got from this ep. From beginning to end, everywhere I should have felt something, good or bad, I was either not buying what the actor/writing/scene was selling or just flat out meh. *shrugs* I do like the show, and agree that Liv & Ravi are the best part. I'm hoping Peyton will be back because I did enjoy those moments where we got to see her and Liv being friends and Liv needs that.
  2. Queen Latifah totally deserved the win. I too was wondering when someone would lip sync an LL song and she didn't disappoint. Marlon did nothing for me. I felt like he was trying to be funny instead of actually being funny. And his rubbing on all the women rubbed me the wrong way. I forget how tall Latifah is. She was nearly eye to eye with LL without her shoes. *does a quick search* She's 5'10" he's 6'2". Oh and is it just me or did they have a bit of a sizzle together? At least more than I remember them having in the movie they did together.
  3. I can't stand this trope. It makes the hero look bad and beyond the misogynistic aspect, it's just plain cruel. I can understand the first time the love interest is in danger not telling them. Hopefully it's a case of one and done. But when it happens again (and again), you can't claim you are protecting someone when the secret is actually not. I've finally figured out what it is about Major that bugs. It's the actor. I'm not saying he is terrible, just...I don't know, lacking in something. I'm the type that doesn't have a preference of good guy/bad boy. It really depends on the character and the actor. I like the character of Major, but, for me, the actor (who's name escapes me and I'm too lazy to look up) just isn't compelling. And his lack of chemistry with Liv doesn't help.
  4. I want Eddie to return but only as one of the good guys.
  5. I liked what little we saw of Iris/Eddie this season, far more than anything Iris/Barry (romantically anyway). I think I was supposed to be moved or at least aww at the wedding but all I kept wondering about was whether Stein had seen his wife yet.
  6. I'm not sure what it says about me, but during what should have been a sweet/romantic scene (the wedding), all I could think was "Did Stein go visit with his wife?" Cuz really it seems totally unfair that Ronnie gets to marry the woman he loves, but Dr. Stein hasn't gotten a chance to at least call the woman he loves.
  7. May totally needs to be happy. Though if we are talking about romance, for some reason I've come to like the idea of Bobbi/Mack.
  8. Whisky Tango Foxtrot. Not Lowell. Dammit. I really liked their relationship. It wasn't (until recently) full of drama, angst, will they/won't they crap. It was refreshing. Plus, the actors had good chemistry. *sigh* Ummm if he really is gone, maybe we can have a twin running around?
  9. Chris Evans vs anybody in the MCU Chris Hemsworth/Tom Hiddleston (Thor vs Loki round whatever) I second Chris Pratt vs Anna Farris
  10. Of course Klaus had a plan. He's Klaus. That being said, if I remember correctly, Klaus was only willing to share this information he had with Elijah if Elijah was willing to do as Klaus said. Elijah was open to whatever would save Hope, but Klaus wasn't willing to part with his idea without conditions and was unwilling to consider any other idea but his own. I can't say I'm upset that the siblings were trying to do what they thought best to protect the family. Were they supposed to wait until Klaus decided to let them in on a plan that may or may not work. On a side note, I'm constantly irritated when one character is always right to the point the other characters are made to look dumb. It happens a lot with Damon on the mother show. Whenever a situation comes up, Damon/Klaus has one method of doing things, but the others want to try something else (which in theory could work) but the writers have to show their favoritism by making the other characters fail and going yep should have listened to Klaus/Damon. Elijah as shown he is capable of coming up with plans and being generally all around BAMF. Rebekah too. Why does Klaus have to be the only one who can come up with a plan that works? I can't recall anyone explicitly stating he would be a bad father. Not trying to start an argument, but hasn't Klaus been doing the same thing? He has gone around saying he will decide what's best for his daughter. He completely disregards Haley, and her importance as Hope's mother, unless she's in agreement with him. He has been treating her as if she was nanny, instructing her to take the child where he tells her. How is Haley supposed to know what Klaus has planned if he isn't willing to tell her? Ideally both parents would communicate and make a joint decision for what's best for their child. Any parent trying to protect their kid is going to do what they think is best and if Klaus isn't willing to discuss it with her, then I can't blame her for doing what she thinks is best. Did her plan work out? No, but that doesn't mean it was wrong. Hell, if Klaus had been willing to work with her, then her leaving might have worked out. They could have at the very least stalled Dahlia long enough for Haley and Jackson to make it out of town and put distance between them. Even if they couldn't defeat Dahlia, it may have very well bought enough time for the wolf pack to find someone who could help them protect Hope.
  11. In terms of performances, I would rate Michael and Hoda above the performances given by Mike Tyson. Terry Crews made the episode last week watchable. I thought both were fine in the first round but Strahan lost energy or something in the second. Still overall enjoyable.

Hopefully it won't interfere cuz I like Lowell and Liz/Lowell
  13. I was totally thinking the same thing watching the scene between Hunter and Mack. Hunter is ok, but for some reason I like Mack better. And I like his chemistry better with Bobbi as well. I wish they would focus it around Bobbi and Mack.
  14. What's funny is I can totally by that as a reason Klaus wouldn't go through with a plan, even if it made the most sense. Claudia Black is killing it. And JM does seem to generate a lot of chemistry with his on screen relatives. As much as I adored Elijah in this ep (and anytime really when he's not moony over Haley), I had a massive problem with him and Marcel this ep. The two of them made a decision about Rebekah without discussing it with her. They decided what was better for her. I don't know if it's lingering issues from the way Iris is treated on the Flash by the men in her life or what, but I just couldn't with two of the most important men in her life deciding Rebekah was going to sit this one out. Mind you, I understand their logic and do believe what Marcel pointed out was true. It was just that it should have been discussed with her not without her. I do rather agree with Haley trying to find the best method to protect Hope. I know the Mikelson's adore Hope but they have turned on each other so many times, who's to say they wouldn't eventually turn on Hope at some point? How old is Davina? Isn't she supposed to be in high school and now she's going to be in charge of the nine covens? I had to lol at Cami asking how long they were going to dagger Klaus. The siblings have spent more than a millennia between them daggered because of Klaus, a decade or two would be nothing in comparison.
  15. I enjoyed Terry Crews. He seemed like he was just having fun.
  16. Quoted because it needed repeating. Rebekah isn't stupid. Of all the siblings, she is the one that is the most human. Like many humans she tends to lead with her heart more often than her head. That last line is why I can not get behind a Rebekah/Marcel pairing. As soon as I heard the I love you I immediately went "he's going to die". So sad. I too am hoping this is just an elaborate scheme cooked up by the siblings to fool Dahlia and use Freya.
  17. *raises hand* And I like Jane with Rafael, but kinda glad they broke up. They need to grow a bit individually and figure themselves out as parents. Plus, with the pressure of not making the romantic relationship work, they can become friends and have that grow into more.
  18. I can't help but wonder if the actors have noticed how troubling this behavior is. Surely one or more of them would have pinged on it.
  19. True, and ultimatum would only work if they were shown to be as close to each other as they were in the pilot. Then she could give him the same choice she gave Eddie, tell me or we are done. Of course she would have to be willing to follow through on it as well.
  20. I wasn't saying Iris hasn't earned the right to go off on the men in her life. I'm all for it. I was merely pointing out that on many other shows the love interest often comes across that way. Often due to writing or acting choices. I have faith in CP but not in the writers. Hence my concern for her character. Sadly the first part of that is all to true. And it's often made worse by writers dragging out story lines for stupid reasons. I'm not hoping for a time jump because I want to see Iris mad at them and I want to see Joe, Barry, and Eddie feel and see Iris is hurt and understand what they did was wrong and to apologize and try to earn forgiveness.
  21. Sadly it's not just these to shows. Too many times the LI is put in the dark for her own good. Then, when the truth is revealed, she either "knew/suspected all along" or she turns into a shrew with over the top righteous indignation about being lied to. I sincerely hope the writers don't go there with Iris.
  22. You do have a good point. Which now makes me more upset with the writers when I think about it. Because if she can lay down this kind of ultimatum with the man she claims to love why can she not do the same with her supposed best friend?
  23. I've been trying to figure out how to respond to this without it seeming like I think Iris is wrong to want answers from Eddie. The biggest problem I have is in how she presented her ultimatum. She begins by telling Eddie she talked with Barry who gave her logical reasons why Eddie was having issues connecting with her. Then turns around and says it doesn't matter because people in love don't keep secrets. This to me makes Iris look immature and unsympathetic. I would have liked her to let him know that she understands he feels he can't share his problem with her. But she also understands that whatever he's keeping to himself is affecting her and them. So if he wants them to be together he needs to figure out how to deal with it (tell her or whatever), or she's out. I do realize that asking Iris to in effect compromise in her relationship seems wrong given how Joe, Barry, and to a lesser degree Eddie have handled this whole thing. But Iris doesn't know that her father and sort of brother have been misogynistic a-holes about telling her. But having Iris come across as more mature and a bit more understanding with Eddie would have shown even more how capable she is of dealing with situations and how wrong they are for not telling her. Sadly this is really a writing fail. Not surprising as this whole season they have been wasting the potential that is Iris/CP. Now all that said, I do firmly believe Eddie needs to man up and admit that he has been lying, beg her forgiveness and the chance to re-earn her trust. Then do as others have suggested and throw Joe and Barry under the bus by saying they are the reason he's keeping secrets. Oh, and I agree that what Eddie is feeling now is punishment for his lie about Mason. Why he went along with that I will never know. I wish they had showed Joe and Barry convincing him, because Eddie isn't comfortable with the lies.
  24. I agree Iris needs to be told already. It is so far beyond ridiculous at this point. However, I did not like her ultimatum to Eddie. He flat out told her the night before if he could tell her he would. It's not his secret to tell.* And her comment that people in love told each other everything really bugged me. Most couples don't share everything. I hope when the shit hits the fan that she is at least able to see that Eddie was caught between a rock and a hard place and can forgive him easier. Joe and Barry though should be made to jump through flaming hoops backwards and blindfolded repeatedly before she even thinks about forgiving them. *For the record, I adore Felicity but I was mad she told Ray Barry's secret because it wasn't hers to tell.
  25. I've been trying to figure out why Dahlia is so big on them giving Hope to her. If she's as powerful as she says, why does she simply not take her? I know, because writing/plot.
