  1. This moved very slow...and casting isn't the best.
  2. Matsson winning was not a big surprise as it was inevitable that the Roy siblings could not keep it together long enough to pull it off because at the end of the day, they are not serious people. Matsson is a colossal prick and there was no way Shiv was going to be the CEO. Unfortunately, she sealed Tom's fate when she was talking to Matsson. The scene at the end? Just wow. But I guess they can somehow figure it out? Tom as CEO? well it could be worse. These people have enough money. They don't need to work. Go find a hobby.
  3. To quote Matsson " but would it though?" Swedish meatball burger does not sound like a good dish. To me. I don't really see this as cheap writing. Greg has been around from the beginning. This season he really has found his niche; opportunistic snake, so non-threatening, and easy to dismiss. He's learned from his mentor Tom and truthfully, he is better at it. Would I want Greg to be running my company, no but let's face it he isn't going to run anything, just a figurehead. I mean Connor could be an alternate choice. He hasn't really made any inroads with Matsson though. Maybe if Waystar maintains control it will go Connor's way with the elders running the show. Who knows. If it's Matsson it's Greg. Matsson does not have any respect for woman, pussy, pasta price is his mantra. So, Shiv doesn't seem a likely choice. She has betrayed her family and isn't trustworthy. AS much as Ewan and Logan did not see eye to eye there was loyalty there. She is good at managing PR so maybe a role but not CEO. The Kendall arc would be good writing but hard to latch onto have all of the multiple failures/meltdowns we have seen. If Kendall somehow manages to come out on top it would be believable.
  4. meatball burger would be a fusion dish in this case American /Italian, which doesn't really work because Matsson is a swede. But it would be a Euro company with an American CEO
  5. upon rewatch: I think Shiv and Tom end up back together at least for a while. She'll be hanging with him while she is not the CEO. Roman is broken. Won't be surprised if he dies. Kendall had another good episode. His ex-wife made the right move though. If Matsson takes the company my guess is Greg is his puppet. so, if I were writing the ending... I'd have Jimenz ultimately win the election.
  6. upon rewatch, in shiv's second phone call to matsson he casually mentions he is in contact with Greg. This is interesting. Greg is clearly keeping his options open unlike Shiv. She made a bad gamble and now is doubling down instead of folding. Greg was clearly not remotely intimidated by Shiv.
  7. I'm totally Confused with Shiv's motivation here. Why is she doubling down with Matsson when she knows his numbers are off (or are they) and the whole blood story and he wouldn't commit to any real role for her go forward? I see this blowing up big time. Roman is now completely unredeemable.
  8. Madson's behavior seems really uncharacteristic to what we had been shown previously. So, either he is really astounding with the razzle dazzle, enough to fool Logan or this is all just a set up. Rather convenient that this is all coming out now, the blood, the bad numbers etc. I still believe Madson was playing Shiv from go. He clearly doesn't see her as go forward with the company. Truthfully why would anyone trust her; she has betrayed her family. She has no loyalty. Kendall is predictable so maybe this is the scheme for some kind of leveraged buyout. Geri owned Roman and it was satisfying. Tom and Shiv! ouch! Brutal truths there. Willa and Connor for the win.
  9. Mattson looked a little psychotic, walking barefoot and crazy eyed talking to Shiv. I can actually believe this Mattson did send blood. Shiv is actively working against her brothers. While the bros are clueless and neglectful this is a huge betrayal. So, after being hit the head with an anvil on Ken's baptism/ rebirth and Roman's complete spiral. On to Shiv and Tom. Their relationship dynamic is interesting but wasn't healthy. I think Shiv actually does love Tom. Now her version of love based on her history is never going to be great without a lot of therapy and maybe even not then. I think Shiv thought Tom actually loved her too. Thinking back on their portrayed history she treated him with disdain, and he allowed it. I think Shiv thought that was out of love, but it wasn't it was and is self-preservation and promotion and it always has been. Tom's betrayal proved that. Tom's admission confirmed it. Tom would not be with Shiv if the situation were reversed. Now the two of them can restart based on honesty. Compare this relationship with Willa and Conner, whose relationship is completely transactional. Both seem to accept and are happy with the arrangement.
  10. My take from the beginning is Mattson was playing all of them from go. Getting them to travel 2 days after Logan died? Who does this? He knew he had them. Why not say no this doesn't work, we need to bury our father, how about this instead. It's called negotiation. Try to imagine Logan in this, he would have told him to f-off. Shiv looks like the cat who ate the canary, my guess she chokes on it. Men like him aren't interested in an equal and I doubt he sees Shiv that way. I'm sure he is aware that Tom and Shiv aren't together, and he played her like a fiddle. I also highly doubt the whole blood story. What Roman said to Mattson was 100% on point. Timing wasn't the best, but he wasn't wrong. He has good instincts, but he is so emotionally damaged he doesn't trust them. Kendall is a completely over his head. I think his emotional intelligence is zero. Can't read the room. Constantly tongue tied. Mattson is a shark, it's in the eyes.
  11. so many cliches... so little time. I think Sheridan missed a real opportunity here, Whitfield should be twirling his moustache and tying prostitutes to train tracks. Alex, next time listen to the girl, she's clearly smarter. British nobility is looking pretty foolish here. Spencer and Alex would most certainly have a marriage license. I mean seriously. Jack is now my favorite Dutton. That is all. Sheridan needs an editor. If you are going to do eight episode seasons you need to have a lot less threads.
  12. There is no way I can believe that Alex is not Beth's direct ancestor. There are way too many entitlement characteristics to be coincidental. Alex hasn't yet reached prairie Barbie levels of annoyance, but she is coming close. I've been waiting for Spencer to arrive...I see no way they can wrap this up in one episode, but this is Sheridan. Now I can't wait for Alex to meet Cara. I actually like Jack and whatever his blond name is. I refer to her as pretty blond. There is an exuberance and energy there that is believable. They are young. Add me to the crowd that think they raise whatever Dutton is born. Helen and Harrison, killing it. They breathe life into the less than stellar writing. Cinematography? off the charts.
  13. If I can survive the red wedding, I can survive the Ghost of Zebrina ! I don't expect nice things from Sheridan; however, the whole Africa story would be a total waste of time if Spencer does not make it. Alex, I guess we will see. I'm not as sure, but I can't imagine she is not the direct ancestor of Beth. As far as the 7nth generation debate It is completely possible that Tate's children are that generation. Imagine he could wed a native woman and that would be endgame. Taylor call me.
  14. I admit it's been years since I read the books, but I have zero recollection of this Rowan. Zero. I'm not sure if it's writing or acting or maybe a little of but I don't have high hopes for the unfolding of this tale. As much as I loved Interview with the vampire's retelling, I loathe this interpretation. Just goes to show... casting is everything.
  15. Don't know a thing about the game. I'm here for Pedro and I wasn't disappointed.
  16. Loved the letter reading scene, So well done. Helen is giving a masterclass here. Every facial expression, every tone and nuance perfection. I can't wait for the first meeting between Spencer and Bronn.
  17. John Dutton operates like Montana is still the wild west. It isn't. The train station has been around a long time. The mind boggles at how many bodies might be there. I keep hoping that Jamie is playing the vixen lawyer, but I fear that just isn't the case. Unfortunately, the writing is too linear. I'm hoping for a mystery, but we are getting a badly predictable soap. If Jamie and Beth ever put their heads together, they would be unstoppable. If John is impeached Jamie said there would be a runoff. Jamie would still have to run and considering Beth has the goods on him... I'm not sure where this would be going. Kayce has no job maybe he can run for Governer. John and Summer? I get John's attraction she does resemble his wife and is likely close to the age when she died (on the show). She is definitely strong willed. Maybe this is his attempt at a do over.
  18. I guess I really don't get all the Cassidy deserved to win stuff. She was in a majority alliance throughout the game. I really didn't see her as playing a great game. She played a good game, but so did Gabler and Owen deserved his underdog spot. If she wants to make a statement about the women being voted out early and she was in on every vote, then you are part of the problem I thought it was BS for anyone to think she should have given up immunity and challenged Jesse to fire? Stupid move. She played the end very well, but the rest of the game was meh as far as what we were shown. Jesse made a mistake he got rid of Cody too soon and became the obvious target. if you make that move you need to have your ducks lined up to get to the end. He didn't. Or be a challenge beast. He wasn't... There have been other very strategic players who didn't win. Add Jesse to the list Karla was never going to be at the end. too out front too soon. The way she turned on Cassidy was not pretty. She also turned on her alliance too soon and didn't read the game right as far as Jesse and Cody. Owen should have been gone long ago but he somehow kept himself there. Won immunity when needed. I don't think Cassidy had the greatest final tribal and I'm sure that didn't help her cause.
  19. Loved all the cowboy stuff. Beth definitely drinks Titos, I've seen her do so previously. Obviously, Marlboro is her brand...ugh Lawyer Vixen (whatever her name is) ... I mean seriously Jaime? what are you thinking. He is either the stupidest man alive or the smartest. I hope it's the latter I fear it's the former. Plotting to kill your father again? because that works so well the last time for you. Kelly (Beth) can definitely ride. She looked like a natural. I just don't know how we got there. Bad story telling. How John can say he envies her freedom is mind boggling in his lack of understanding. To me she seems the most imprisoned by her inner trauma than any of them. Always fighting. She finds a measure of peace with Rip, but it never seems enough. Rips loyalty to her is admirable. Summer/Lynelle, seriously? Summer is useless. Piper is 46 and looks it. Not an ingenue please stop insulting us. Lynell (Wendy is 52) Kevin (john) is mid-sixties. he has children in their 40's. He can date who he likes but pitting two women against one another is ridiculous. Not only is he politically illiterate but obviously he hasn't a clue about women either. my guess is neither does Sheridan
  20. Loved the setting. Exactly as I imagined. There are a lot of good casting choices here. Ruth is spot on. Molina captures Armand's spirit. Jean guy for me is a miss. The actor's appearance is ok, but he is missing JG's edge. I imagine him sizzling and so far, he is fairly subdued. Myrna? way too young Clara ...too young too pretty and not nearly messy enough. Peter not Anglo enough. I imagine a very reserved wasp. I liked the storytelling so far though.
