  1. They have a deal with Palm Beach Tan salons which are all over Dallas (and the country) so it shouldn't be that hard to keep some color. They have both Mystic and Versa which are premium spay tanning systems. I think Zeke looks like he has put on weight this season -- and wasn't Holly criticized for that on an earlier episode? Both are in awesome physical condition but noticably heavier... Still in better shape than 99% of all Americans so not throwing shade on them! Maybe Zeke was rocking Jenna's?
  2. Which Grand Velas was this? I’ve been to the one in Riviera Maya and while it was very nice- it is not exclusive nor all that fancy. It was really not a lot different than other all inclusive in that area. Other than they did have one super nice restaurant where we had a 10 course meal (all the courses were bite sized) which would blow away most nicer restaurants outside of a resort in the US. It is definitely a different level vacation to have a private villa with staff than to travel to a generic all inclusive. (I love the all inclusive vacation and am not throwing shade on them — just stating it is a VERY different experience)
  3. This season is so much better than last with no charity event on every show! First - why didn't Lee Ann get help from Kary (no matter how much she they don't get along) since she is at least an RN and would be familiar with her type of stitches and could get her fixed back up. If I was on vacation with a group of friends and I had a surgery stitch coming out and bleeding - I would have her in my room checking on me asap. Beef or no beef. That was just silly. Second - Kameron was not born with manners - no one is. That is the craziest thing she has said since pink dog food. No one is born with manners - they are learned behaviors.... And different in different parts of the world. Third - I was mortified for Stephanie and Brandi that they made such a mess with the bubble bath. There were soap suds for days. I hope they at least left the housekeepers a large tip for having to clean it up. I am much more bothered by that than I am the toy being waved around. It is clearly a joke to wave one around - no children appeared to be near them or anything. It would have been better for Kameron to ignore it all together or politely smile and wave it off vs get up and run away from Brandi shrieking.
  4. I thought the same thing with hiding Brandi's smile YES! I feel like they had a small spat and they made up long ago and agreed to have this as their storyline... Yeah - how hard is it to pour a glass of wine? Pick a bottle, open it and pour it. Done. 2 minutes?
  5. Nike dry fit socks come with an L and an R on them. I don't know if there is any physical distress in wearing 2 Ls or 2 Rs or on the opposite feet but it is annoying that two get paired together as set that don't match. They are not super expensive socks or anything.
  6. I think Stephanie and her husband had already purchased the house and this was a ruse to get camera time. And I am guessing it is for a flip and not to actually live there (more ruse). My favorite comment was that with 2 boys and a dog with a pool in the living room that house would be filthy all the time. True. Dog goes into pool - dog comes out and shakes out his coat - water everywhere. Repeat several times a day. Also that swan would not last long with their dog either. And I agree that Travis looks like he's had something done to his face. Not sure what.... I like D'Andra more and more. I have never heard of her mother's skin care and I feel like I keep her on that sort of thing. Which makes the whole marketing thing make more sense that they actually need it. Or - more realistically - sell off the patents (if there are any) and equipment to another cosmetics giant and just live off the profits. That would go better with her "too busy" lifestyle. I loved Kameron's husband's reaction to the comments on the pink dog food. He had a visible "twitch" or something like that each time she brought it up and he tried to steer her away from it.... And then she did again and another twitch happened! I think he has better sense than to let that proceed... I could barely watch at the picnic table where Stephanie's face was so much lighter than her neck and chest. And that lower eyeliner all the way into the corner. UGH I do NOT like that look on her (or the other ladies). I feel like it closes their eyes in and makes them look smaller which is almost never what anyone is going for with makeup. I think Cary's face was also lighter - Brandi's was not for sure. What is up with that???? I get not wanting sun on your face....I wear spf 100 and a sun visor and glasses when I am in the sun and have been since my mid 20s but its called bronzer people!!!! Or at least blending.... Used to be that people's faces had makeup on them which made them look too dark and there would be the dark jawline to the lighter neck. This is the exact opposite.... *sigh* Overall, better than last year with less mention of charities....
  7. It was definitely a bummer not to see the LSU gal not make it. She was great other than her look. I get my hair cut, highlighted and styled at the same salon where Marshall is and anyone can make an appointment with any of the stylists. My hairdresser is one that works with the DCC on camera (and off). Disclaimer - I've been going there since I moved to Coppell and it is an Aveda salon and before there was any DCC association (or at least advertisement of such). Wouldn't you think it would be worth going in for a consultation and cut/highlight/lowlight/weave/etc BEFORE auditions? Marshall is a great stylist (I've watched him work across the salon over the years) but it is not an exclusive salon to get into. Call and make an appointment. Same for interviews. Practice with people everywhere! Church, Neighbors, Shopping, etc. Get an interview coach like they do for pageants. It is not that hard people!!!! I also know another gal who made finals who was not shown for one moment on screen other than I did see her in a one group shot on the previous episode. Not a shot at all last night... I would be interested to see how they piece it all together.
  8. Interesting first episode. What was bothering me with Stephanie is that her face in the talking heads was a totally different color than her neck, shoulders, chest and arms. It was very distracting. And yes, maybe a little overboard on the fillers. Brandi's skin did not look great to me either. And yes Cary looked odd too. Like I think it was a premature eye lift that went wrong but I am just guessing. I haven't lived in Dallas very long (4.5 years) and do not run in any society circles but have not seen the Simmons name anywhere in Dallas that I recall... It could just be me. I hear family names like Perot (museum, women's wing at hospital), Winspear (opera house), Margaret Hunt Hill (bridge), Nasher (art)... I am sure there are many, many more that someone who has lived here longer would know including maybe hers.... The blonde woman - who would create "organic" dog food and then use some sort of artificial color to make it pink. I'm here to watch though!
  9. I love this show and am sad its already over again. I'd much rather see these 3 friends who are all successful in their own careers and maybe not so successful in their love lives who genuinely like each other's company and aren't forced together for the sake of reality (Looking at your RH of Everywhere). They have a camaraderie that can't be made up. Its like how i love seeing the Kardashian/Jenner sisters interactions on KUWTK as they are genuine (even if in a contrived situation for the show). And OMG when Tubber went into the attic - my husband and i were dying laughing. What a scene!!! And that Tubbiary was the best!!! And the scenes with the local folks are hilarious. Like the doll lady tonight -- no way she wasn't already a hoarder with that big old mess behind her of doll parts!!!! Priceless!!!
  10. There is no way an abuser like her husband would not have access to her phone. He likely has his fingerprints in there and / or knows her code. It would enrage him and cause horrible consequences for Celeste if he was ever NOT able to open it and have free access. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing... Why in the world call it trivia night if the focus is dressing up like Elvis and Audrey and singing? That is cabaret night - not trivia night. Trivia night would entail, um, trivia... Of which, we saw very little (if any)...
  11. I did too!!! I couldn't even watch it pull away and then nothing... I was relieved that it did not blow up. There was def something fishy with Seth's friends....
  12. I hate subtitles especially around a storyline I don't particularly care about. We fast forwarded through the subtitles so I do not know (or care) what happened. Questions I need answered: When did Noah get cured of his drug dependency and mental breakdown/illness? And how? When did Helen get back with the Doctor? And how? Did Alison take the job? Did Cole's wife find out about Cole's infidelity with Alison?
  13. What about Lucy's missing sister? Is that never going to be spoken of again???
  14. I lived in Huntsville/Madison for about 15 years and was shouting at the tv "Don't kill Von Braun - we need him for my past" LOL My husband and I met when I lived there and that might alter my early career at Redstone and my life in general :-)
  15. I don't see a large enough age gap for him to be her father? I do think he could be who saved her in the car wreck...
  16. We most recently saw her on Episodes on Showtime with Matt LeBlanc. She was awesome on that show and a really, really great actress. Her skin looked very different in this show. Maybe less makeup?
  17. It would have made more sense to show her as a trainer BEFORE the fight scene. My husband and I had to rewind it and then go back. It wasn't clear. #fail
  18. I said this exact thing to my husband. Yes there is a dead guy but push him out and drive off... Don't go hide at the edge of the woods. DUH These folks know the woods and will find you.... They mentioned that his wife and baby were left behind while he came to North Carolina.
  19. I am loving this show! It is my favorite of the new shows and is better than some of the returning shows (looking at you Blacklist and How to Get Away with Murder.) So was it the same actor as playing Robert Lincoln or not? I thought it was but seems like we have differing opinions?
  20. Judy is likely a 0. She is tiny. But very attractive at the same time. She is more photogenic on camera. I wear a size 14 and my mom wears a 8-10 and Kelli is smaller than her by a good bit -- thus my assessment. And shorter than both of us. I am a pretty good judge of sizes. Sometimes people surprise me if they are busty or hippy and dress more flattering. She had on jeans that night and was definitely small. I have also seen some of the cheerleaders at Palm Beach Tan where I go for spray tan in Valley Ranch and also Las Colinas and they are teeny tiny. (The desk staff pointed them out to me - I wouldn't have recognized them). Much smaller than Kelli and maybe similar sized to Judy. More junior sized than missy sized.
  21. I would have thought the same thing from only ever seeing her on tv, but seeing her in person she is not large at all. No where near a size 12...
  22. My husband and I saw her in person at a local restaurant (with Judy and a few other women) and she is not overweight at all. She is maybe a size 4 or 6 at the most. She is not the least bit overweight. She was gorgeous and looked healthy, well-dressed and happy. We both agreed she was MUCH prettier in person than on TV. My husband noticed her and said to me "Hey that's that cheerleader lady" and I was like, what - no way??? And he pointed to her- she was so much younger looking and prettier in person that I said no way. Then Judy arrived and she looks EXACTLY as she does on TV so there was no denying it was her. She walked past us on the way to the ladies' and it was definitely her. HD is not flattering to most people but I promise you - she was not overweight at the time of filming (same time-frame that we saw her).
  23. I thought this was really well done and not as over the top as the past few seasons have been. Took me back to season 1. Of course, I know over the top is coming... And I'd be disappointed otherwise.
  24. I don't feel like it is fair to say that Cameron spends no social time with her husband given that this show doesn't show even a quarter of their real lives. We have no idea how much social time they spend together.
  25. I was at an out of town event a couple hours outside Dallas and one lady referred to a specific white wine as "Pool Juice". I died laughing inside my mind but continued along with a smile on the outside. The person saying it was likely similar age/demographics as Stephanie. I had never heard that as a real reference in real life.
