Current Plots Discussion: Actually Today's Episode

Nobody thinks the return of the vets is going to turn out well but we'll be glad to see them briefly except Bo. Kristen is camp, I don't mind her showing up for 6 days. I want Jack to put Jar Jar over his knee and beat the crap out of her. I love me some Billy Flynn he gives it to Jar Jar each time. He never wanted to be a villain he's on the defense. I call her Jabby because she makes me feel stabby. I was never a Thaao fan even in the '80s. -
I'm sorry, I don't know why your power went out but if it was a storm and you and a thousand others suffered I don't get why that is the power company's fault. Not to defend power companies in any way but we discuss a lot of legal issues here. Good luck with proving negligence. I mean that sincerely. I'm very happy you're back in your home.

OK, I finally figured out that Tomsell is a smashup of writers' names? BTW for all of you who get butthurt your questions don't get answered mine don't ever and I don't get butthurt. I asked a long time ago what a Tomsell was for instance. -
She said she had vision problems with lights and I can't disagree with that with studio lights as JJ asked. My vision is 650/20 with astigmatism and a bad right eye I can barely see my computer screen. Will you all please stop talking about the "gub'ment" this is about Judge Judy. If you pay attention there is no payment train

If Jack comes back he knows every single thing Jar Jar has done and confronts her. And gets JJ some real help. He ignores Jenn saying Jack or honey every 10 seconds and informs her she raised two rotten kids. He acknowledges he was gone but that she dumped them off in boarding school and rarely had to work and still ignored them. I think Jack is the only one who could possibly talk sense into Jabby. So it will never happen.

It's so funny how much everyone loves and remembers Melaswen seeing as how it was a cover up for the fuckup Days did on firing everybody. But before that were all the great murders so no wonder it was fun. I could watch that entire SL again. No, Daniel and Nicole weren't together unless you count slamming doors in her face several times including when Jen was in the house, refusing several times to go out on a first date or any other or arguing in the middle of it, being too busy with Melly and interfering in JJ's life, accusing her of interfering with anyone and everyone, not believing her feelings, getting angry because she had to work....then once or twice saying he cared about her and they had a relationship. They haven't had one in months. The reason I buy the Ericole angst is that those two um, gave each other a hand. It was way more than kissing. If it was full blown intercourse they would have shown that, of course. Yet I have no idea why Ericole should feel they have to explain it to Dirty Dan at all because there was no relationship with Dan. Not sure if the real life stuff is playing into trying to keep them together because there's nothing onscreen between the two. My unpopular opinion is I'm glad this is probably the last we'll see of this Theo. -

We're completely on the same page today, I agree Mar did a great job and they gave her some great lines. You tell me your marriage is ending every week (while chuckling). And I know you want to say something, just say it. That was great. I enjoyed it even though he never remembers what she says and sure enough when Jackson came home did he LISTEN? No, he interrupted, assumed it was about Paul and then assumed it was about something else. Idiot. She and Chad were great together too. He honestly looked a little stunned she got through to him. Nice and unexpected acting moment for both. Also, as others have said, his criticism of Jabs comes across as way too realistic to make us believe he's just trying to hide his feelings. And of course, the Jar Jar. I had to hand it to Clyde when he said I hear you're making some young man happy and a second of guilt flashed over her face. He said something else intentionally ambiguous then started praising her the way everyone else does and she beamed that Jabby smile she gets. Then he hands her a gift card and with that she is easily bought off. Completely controlled. Judging from her outfit isn't this pretty much right after Chad reiterated he had used her? And she steps right back into it. Mar, have that "pattern" conversation with Jar Jar please. Clyde is infinitely patient, I think he's taking his time sucking Ben into the business like he wanted to do in the first place by being so supportive of him and Jabs. Loved, loved, loved Stephono wanting no part in discussing an agreement. Jump forward and someday he'll drawl well Mr Dimera I tried to work out a gentlemanly deal with ya...while a goon holds a gun to someone's head. We can hope. Lucas, I'll date you and I won't put you through all of that drama! -

Sorry Ken. I wish Days would be around 200 years but I think the word you're looking for is semicentennial. -
I didn't see anyone declining to acknowledge she was close to the family before and after what happened. She wasn't the killer though, although she spent a hella time in jail for being there and I buy her remorse and regret. I didn't see Phil catch her in any lies as much as he tried.

The Clothing Thread: What The Heck Are They Wearing?
QuelleC replied to Rick Kitchen's topic in Days Of Our Lives
I'm sick of the racerback swimsuit dresses this summer. I'd love to see Anne in a pair of pants but maybe she thinks it will make her look short. JJ's hair really went downhill. I can only think he combs it very differently when not on the show and they make him do this. I liked Bev's down to earth short cutoffs and blousy tank top. Paige really overdresses for being a college student living in a dorm. Not her fault really, but I was scared by her crying. How do you get your mouth turned down and eyebrows turned up at the same time. I've honestly seen nothing like that. -
I'm not sure when "seasons" start but I'm detecting a change of tone to make it more, let's say gossipy like MM. Sure, she could be dismissive of testimony she didn't want to hear but I always gave her the benefit of the doubt. Unless we can read the small claims complaints and answers online, we'll never have as much information as JJ does. Surely she has people who interview the people in advance too. Anyway, I rather like it when she cuts to the chase and doesn't suffer fools who are running scams.

Left Phalange? I've been no fan of your advocating violence over and over again but I completely agree when it comes to Abby. Also, everybody hates Bo. What, so Hope can get abused some more?

Cheeses we've heard enough about her vagina now we have to worry about her uterus? Again? WTF.

I'm not a huge fan of the teen scene but what we have this summer, with people leaving and veterans being hired, is old, rich, bitter judgment. I'm old and a little bitter but certainly not rich or judgmental unless someone brings home pizza and doesn't share. Weird summer. I'm on Theresa/Tate's side they're fighting for their lives. Show hasn't told us how she got so screwed up but Jeannie who has nothing should be fighting for her son whom she is struggling to parent to the best of her ability. She shouldn't have moved into the KMansion but how else could she learn to be a mother which is something she's been worried about. No other way to take time off from the job and pay for things, which is probably not much more than Brady's vodka budget. She did care about him and I think she's trying ti parent the baby. -

I guess I don't even listen to the Sami-Blaming because floppy haired teen Will was a straight arrow who never wanted to follow his parents' mistakes. He didn't feel entitled because the Greater Horton Family never treated him that way. And he spent several years in Rafe's cramped apartment with no kitchen taking care of his younger siblings. Yes, his mother and Kate covered for him but I think we can agree this isn't the Will we knew. ETA Now that I think about it, Will really didn't move in on Mia and was very reluctant about Gabi. I can't credit Days for putting the slowest burn ever on creating a gay storyline years and years in advance but it really came together. Then it took another year for Chandler to speak frankly to Jackson while he gently held back his feelings and allowed Will to express his. Mar did some of her best work ever. The reactions of Sami and Lucas as parents were pretty realistic. The wedding was incredibly beautiful, all notes hit, even the understated cake. All of that is why this repetitive storyline is so awful. Go Sonny, Go. -
You all said it better than I could, thank you. A half hour of my life I'll never get back. What in the world possessed JJ to give these idiots more than 5 min of her time? The case was very simple. Plaintiff had a sales receipt, proof she got a credit card just to buy the messin with wimins idiot an expensive laptop to watch porn. That was an insult to JJ I wish she'd have picked up on it. Also several texts promising payment. All I could think of is the case was chosen after reading the court documents and they thought nailing the defendant might make for good tv. But an entire half hour? I don't understand the extreme patience she showed with these two. Did the producers tell her to tone it down? The case could have been edited. In fact, I wonder how much editing goes on. Loved it when he couldn't take off his leather jacket after finally being kicked out. And yeah, giggling mom (want to slap her and vacant daughter) were as awful as lying defendant seller of truck he didn't own. JJ wanted to rule against her until she had no choice but to admit defendant lied. Plaintiff was too damned smug for me to think it was about money, I get the feeling she never has to worry about that.

$800 74 Superbeetle I drove to college in the mid 80's and the first five years of my son's life. I learned to drive in that car and have had a stick shift ever since.
-
Dammit $4000 is a lot of money it will get you a good used car. Thank dawg for small claims court.
-
Taxidermist defendant was talking about having to tan the hide and making a form. How in the hell can you pay someone to strip off your pet's skin. That I guess had to move per plaintiff's specifications for $300. Really gruesome and there was a young lady in the background that was holding her mouth so she wouldn't react. All to put if on her ***** cycle. I'm sorry, that was terrifying. JJ was even sympathetic, she asked if she had a new dog and she did, and JJ said you'll fall in love again. She said her her friend Alan Alda was scarred over the fact his parents stuffed his childhood dog and told her it was a BAD IDEA. I won't comment again about this.

The sick thing is Abs might enjoy it so she can be more judgey and outraged. I can't wait for the day someone finally cheats on her. I wish Bristle well but I get the comparison. Let's just hope she comes to terms with reality. And I mean both of them. -
I agree Kirstin Storm is Bell but I don't mind Martha Madison at all. You pretty much have the EriCole story correct except she withheld her feelings for a very long time, trying to find redemption being a secretary and living at St. Luke's after she accused Jenn wrongly of pushing her down the stairs killing her already (sadly) stillborn baby. After Kritter raped him it was quite a while before she and Dan (of course) confronted the evil Dr. Chyko who was responsible for the date rape drug. In the meantime they had long, drawn out sexual tension. She decided to burn the papers she found (after Dan went running after Dr. Evil) so he wouldn't have the chance to be a neutered priest again. Hell, I don't think they even had sex before that as much as Nicole tried. So they were way close before the reveal but what a disappointing relationship that was. He not only acted like an adolescent, he dressed like one after being defrocked. And Mar was so, so sad about his "vocation". I guess that's the least she could do after trusting Vic who set her up to play the sex CD at Brady and Kritter's wedding. Didn't Naggie leave him for a while after that? Not sure if any of this makes sense because it's probably the most ridiculous paragraph I've ever written. The thing is, Nicole is always right about her investigations.

A disturbing JJ rerun in the middle of the night. 21 yr old renting a room was held responsible for her boyfriend hitting walls and slamming her around. Graffiti on the walls, too. JJ gave her a big lecture on how at her age she should be looking her best and was headed for being an old woman by the age of 30. She told her to go home and get well. If that wasn't horrifying enough, lady wanted her Pom dog stuffed and defendant produced a sketch he made at some unknown point, probably in time for court, but did nothing but "take measurements". Creepy plaintiff currently has transferred the decomposing dog into her own freezer and had another taxidermist inspect it before court. In the hallterview she revealed she wanted its legs to bend so she could take it with her on her motorcycle. You can't make this stuff up. No wonder I'm still awake. Having buried my last cat myself (I built her a pine box), how you could live knowing it was in the freezer and having to handle it occasionally, I just don't know.

Will is lying about the marriage therapist story for a couple of reasons. He wants to write about his life again, for profit as Stephono has bought the rag and Chad knows about it. Because he's too stupid to do anything meaningful. He told Kate he wants to have a say in the direction of their so called therapy that he's put off for months, with a skeevy therapist. So he flattered skeevy doctor into thinking he could get Meyers some national attention so Jackson would be conned into not talking about Will's motivations in the first place like he wants to. This is a really sick SL. And it's sad Sami isn't right in there, she could try to talk sense into him. But Mar and Kate have tried and it hasn't worked. -
I got FIFA today. The Grandma stealing sisters? I knew from the get go the first time I saw it they were lying about their grades. I think that's why JJ kept harping on it hoping to see an ounce of shame on their faces but she couldn't get it out of these two hardened criminals. She prides herself on seeing lies and for the most part she's right.

Didn't he get shot in the back of the head or was I just being hopeful. I think they did a little more than kissing but we were spared the sight. Nice to see Sonny check on Ari's whereabouts before hitting Sneasel between the eyes with the truth. Now, please, pack your bags and save yourself, Jackson. Jeebus when I thought I'd lost all patience with Sneasel he pulls the same crap over and over. He seems to think he's so much smarter than everyone else. I liked Theresa's half beehive. Not every day, but it was moving into the mansion hair. She'll do fine with Vic but Naggie will be giving her the lemon face glare nonstop, holding her breath to pretend biting her tongue. Not sure it's worth it, Theresa. Between the dress and the eyes Shreweena makes me dizzy. The fact Ben didn't deck Chad right there and continues to listen to Jar Jar's lies makes me think he's learned some self control. Dammit.
