Remembering how things went for Paula Jones, I hope Monica knows just how lucky she is that she had family money to fall back on (even though she still had to do things like the Morton book to start to pay her legal bills).

It took me a minute to figure out that Chelsea was carrying a Discman as they got out of the limo and into the vacation house. At first, from the way she was carrying it, I was like “what is Chelsea doing with a cellphone in 1998?”

Most of this episode was great. It has to be difficult scripting conversations that no one even heard between the Clintons. However, I really did not like the final scene. Going with Stand By Your Man was just too on the nose when they already showed Hillary saying it in the 60 Minutes interview. And, really, why keep pulling poor Tammy Wynette into the mess?

That would have been amazing.

Can anyone ID the actor in the Leno writers’ room scene - the last guy to speak who said “Bill Clinton could have had sex with anyone and he chooses her?” He looks so familiar.

Nick seemed truly shocked to be ranked 5th in the finale. Once they got to the last 2, I was rooting for Matthew because James was such a nothing burger in the show to me. It’s like you have to be enough of a player to get to the finale, but not so much that everyone will turn on you once you get there. And it seems like that’s what happened - they went out in order of their player-ness.

What was the thing about who went to which law school? Professor Wiki tells me Laura Ingraham got her law degree at UVA. Is that more prestigious than Michigan or did I miss something?

The Gerald McRaney subplot was so funny and random.

Who on the writing staff hates Greta Thunberg? That just made me uncomfortable. I like bringing Lauren into the office - she's probably my favorite character - but there's a lot of clumsy writing around it.

The party theme beat the wedding theme from last season, but it still felt kind of boring. Not that I could come up with a better challenge. But that’s why I’m not a tv producer.

Jessie's shed was amazing. I was so convinced she’d won that it didn’t click they said Justine for a good 5 seconds. Rebecca's was standard issue Pinterest/Etsy. But she skated by on that the whole season. Jessie reminds me of the guy who won last season somehow. I hope the show comes back with more crafting and less Amy/Nick. Also, not for nothing, but Simon does need a new day job since Barney's is closing. I’d watch it again if it returns.

I hate that I'm holding a 19 year old to my own adult standard of self-awareness. But it’s to the point that we need a drinking game for every time Eagan says the word “bully.” He’s actually talented. It’s going to be so over the top reality TV when he’s sent home though. I hope he’s inspired to go to college and join the theatre department.

I loved Simon calling out the different decades in Rebecca's Palm Springs house. I have rented many a house out there and the ones that haven't been completely redone actually do have a mishmash of styles going. It's like grandma's PS house before her kids get it and put it on Air BnB.

That was just bizarre. I wish a child cost that little. He either grossly-over estimates the cost of a bag or isn’t paying for college right now.
