  1. That was a crazy huge leap Carol made, she filled in the silences Sam left with suspicion of Pete, she showed up to Pete's door, banging away, he opens the door and isn't really happy to be woken up from a nap. He most likely smelled of booze in the middle of the day, now Carol is probably mentally glitching, having vivid memories of drunk ass Ed, mean ass Ed, squirly thoughts all going mile a minute, Pete blows her off, Carol skulks over to Ricks (wait a minute, that's Michonne's katana over the fireplace, is Rick living with Michonne? I thought Rick said "we can all sleep in our own homes now"?) Carol sidles up to Rick, starts her arch gossip, Carol, wily Carol she knows Rick's buttons whether or not she's noticed yet Rick is "into" Jessie...oh of course she has but damn..kill Pete right out the gate Carol? Sheesh woman, you're still fighting Ed in your head! Let him go you bashed his dead head in with a freekin' pick ages ago, Pete is not Ed. Pete, for all his apparent boorishness and implied abuse is indeed a physician. A trained medical provider at the end of the world. Someone normal people would probably want to try to talk to, maybe get things out in the open, maybe he needs his own house or something, whatever, Jessie and Sam could live in different houses, really, everything is free right now so no big deal there! No, stone cold killer Carol wants him dead and she starts some kind of damn dark magic on Rick. So intense but senseless. For Rick to take the bait, then he would be as bad as any bad guy, he would be worse than Shane, Shane really did have skin in that game. I dont buy it, I dont like it. I'm team Carol all the way but this one here, even if I can see how she might get herself worked up into hating Pete enough to want him dead, right here and now it doesnt hold water.
  2. Carol is a magnet for twisted children, Im frankly amazed she and Carl aren't thick as thieves!
  3. Naw, I think Tobin's good people too, it's just the culture of ASZ was just starting to turn sour, the easy life lead to laziness which lead to a cowardice far more severe than Eugene's. Oh fuck yeah Eugene stuck 'em in there like the boss he is!
  4. The actor's name is Andrew Gillies and on Orphan Black he played Ethan Duncan.
  5. Great episode! Something I noticed, when Jones played the recording of Cassie for Cole and Ramse, there is a part where Cassie says "among you already" or something like that. Now last week I noticed the older scientist working with Jones was played by the actor who played Rachel's father on Orphan Black, in other words, a bigger name actor. So tonight when I heard that line in the Cassie recording and later in the episode that scientist guy hands Jones some papers or something and says something about "there never could be a cure" or something my spidey sense started tingling, maybe Im putting two unrelated things together but I think THAT guy is one of the 12 monkeys, in the future, working at cross purposes to Jones and Cole.
  6. Thats the first Ive seen that mandolin, thanks.......man god damn Coral STAY IN THE FREEKIN HOUSE!!!!!
  7. So I read the most recent one, #138 and it really pissed me off. Spoiler tag for those who've not read it yet..
  8. Well when Kelly went backstage and announced she was the one, the next shot showed her doing a really weird, semi-aggressive, growly "come here" at everyone for them to give her the good bye hug so maybe there was more tension than we the audience was aware of. I liked Kelly, I hope she keeps honing her craft and the future is full of good, positive things for her! (Im still team Emily though! Go Big Hair!)
  9. Well Ive never seen an adult get so completely undone by the mere idea of glitter like Emily did! I mean seriously, she was so OTT about it being a "pageant" and that she could use glitter (again! She uses it for everything!) she turned in a mediocre piece, I was surprised it wasn't a bottom look, just to wake her up! Also Kelly lost it over the tiny idea that if she didnt do it carefully her multiple eye alien would look spidery? That was helpful, constructive advice Kelly, not something to lose yer mind over! Still, what she did do and what Ben did deserved to be bottom looks, they were both really bad. I thought Ben's had the very same expression as he has on his face 24/7, sour sour sour! I was finally really blown away by Darla's creation this week! I thought it suffered from a haughty expression but regardless, it was very clean and well painted but I did like Adam's the most. Adam's was fun, interesting, well applied and well painted. Stephanie got super lucky this week and I REALLY thought Logan's was fantastic.
  10. I thought she was a Metamucil shill too. Damn, what a stupid fate for an actor, not to be remembered as "That lady who was in that one show, you know?" but instead to be remembered as "the voice of the lady in that constipation commercial, you know the one?"
  11. Even if Jessie is into it, that doesnt excuse Rick fingering his gun while Jessie and Pete were walking away and Rick was watching them or well he was watching Jessie walking away. I mean I get it, she's attractive, lusty thoughts ahoy! But it looked like Rick was also having murderous thoughts towards Pete, the Physician who may or may not be abusive but right now he just seems mildly obnoxious, no worse at all than Daryl who walked around with a stinking dead possum for who knows how long that first day?
  12. Agree with everything here but quoting because something is bothering me.....in context, I don't see Jessie's husband as being an asshole or being menacing. I see him as being more territorial than we're used to in our non-TWD world so to our eyes he's coming off as menacing or whatever. So far he was (mildly IMO) being a porch dick to Rick and then at the party he was awkward and sort of weirdly homo-something I mean to me the weird way he said to Rick "let me check you out" was the sort of clumsy line an in-the-closet gay person will blurt out in social situations. I don't think Pete is gay though so to me that all just came off as really super awkward and weird. Now the sneak peek for next week, THAT makes Pete look menacing but right now, meh Pete looks uptight, so what? Its the zombie apocalypse, valium is in short supply even for ASZ (and if anyone needs to take a damn chill pill it's Rick)
  13. I didn't enjoy this episode very much. I was bored for parts of it, I really thought Abe ws hitting on Michonne, what Carol did just chilled me to the bone and has me wondering, how far is too far when it comes to protecting you and yours in TWD world? The shit Rick was pulling with kissing Jessie, fingering his gun while watching her walk away with her HUSBAND (who happens to be a PHYSICIAN who is WAY MORE IMPORTANT to TWD world than a freekin' former deputy sherrif!!!) and then the whole last scene at the wall just was all grossing me out. I can't believe the show wants to suddenly turn Rick into something so gross as that.
  14. AL = Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) MM or MMB = Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier) NR = Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) EK = Emily Kinney (Beth Greene) I haven't noticed many of the other actors being referred to by their initials but I probably missed that, these seem to be the most common one's.
  15. How was Rick the reason she didnt make it? He slathered everyone in gore, they would have all made it if she and her kid could have just maintained their composure, that's on them, not Rick. Hell none of that would have happened if the walls had been properly set in place to begin with.
  16. As far as spin off's go, that sounds way better than Better Call Saul (which to be fair is pretty good). I'd watch it anyway.
  17. Im trying to guess who the third of the final three will be? I mean unless an utter catastrophe happens, Emily and Ben are the real final two but who will be the third? I know for some reason a lot of people seem impressed by Darla (I dont get it! I think she had one really nice makeup but other than that all her stuff looks the same and looks rough, ugly, vague and the one she made for the Clive Barker challenge the face color did not match the chest color), others seem really impressed by Julian (I think everything he's made has a rough, unfinished look to it) and there is even support for Adam (he's ok but not consistently creative or inspired). Logan has been really impressive so he might be in the final three and even Stephanie has made at least one really amazing piece. Finally, as annoying as she is from time to time, I like Kelly, she is really talented but I think she suffers from the same flaw as Julian, her work seems to stop right before it's really polished. So, final three....Emily, Ben and.......Logan?
  18. Roy was awesome, I thought he would have been really great on Jim Henson's creature shop challenge. Joe was the one with the goopy monstrosities who bailed during judging but the obnoxious guy Im thinking of was in season 1, he jumped on the bed and freaked out during the body painting challenge because his model was a man. For whatever reason he was brought back in a later season where he was much more humble but he just wasn't a very creative guy.
  19. Oh man, was Joe the guy who made two horrible, gloppy messes as his makeups? He's the guy that just flew the coop right before he would have been booted anyway? That guy just had no business anywhere near this show, I have no idea how a person like that could have possibly made it through the audition process. Season one was bad for ginned up "reality show" drama, season two had a little of that but since then it's mainly been about the competition, not the drama (beyond "oh no my mold broke and that's all I have to show for this week!" Edit, I just looked it up and Im thinking of someone else, sorry if you read that Joe, sorry I disparaged your artistic abilities. Was Joe the obnoxious fellow that got invited to come back the same season Laura got to come back?
  20. I dont care how sweet they are, if anyone ever offers me an "ass biscuit", I'm decking them.
  21. Why dont the walls have support beams on the inside? Zombies will be pushing from the outside and the supports are on teh outside so thats as dumb as the stupid gate! I dont believe for one second people who could afford a house "starting at $800k" would put up with "off the grid" living. We're not anywhere near peak efficiency with solar power so people in the community would have to either also be very much on the grid OR be the richest hippies to have ever lived and be wiling to go without electricity for large parts of the year.
  22. I think Michonne has already made her case. She's worried about Judith, she, being a mother in particular realizes Judith could dehydrate or starve to death much more quickly than anyone else in the group (as the audience we all have to sort of imagine Judith is actually quite skinny because the "actor" is really a rolly polly little thing). Michonne is freekin tired of sleeping in dirt, being filthy, eating acorns, she has articulated what pretty much every one else has been feeling, living out there was killing them all in a million different ways, it was time for resting, time for comfort however fleeting, time to TRY to make things better. The life they were leading, aimless wandering with all the danger that entails was getting OLD. She had been saying this to Rick for a while, most notably at Noah's so I don't think she's acting pregnant at all, she's just expressing her feelings in a very direct way because she (unlike Daryl) is able to do that with herself and with the group and especially with Rick. Michonne is not afraid of Rick, she's afraid that the life on the road was a sure death sentence for all of them, not least of whom is Judith.
  23. It's not from the comics; inside Noah's neighborhood was graffiti that read "WOLVES NOT FAR" but because of how the scene was filmed and where the words were written, at first glance it looked like "WOLVES NOT FAIR" and now we have our very own meme. This IS the "big story", this season there is no external, all encompassing "big bad" other than the situation our heroes find themselves in. I like your thoughts on Enid, I still don't really think it was her family that was exiled, that just wouldn't make sense because she is still semi-feral like Coral, if she had been part of the ASZ with her family, then exiled, why would ASZ bring her back in and act like she was fresh off the boat like Coral? I had a dream last night where instead of the lady who is actually playing the congress critter it was Kate Mulgrew and this morning I realize they really look similar, could even play sisters! Finally, That front gate is KILLING ME!!!!!! It is so flimsy and stupid, zeds could crawl under it, humans could tear the burlap down and just start shooting, it's just so freekin' WEAK!!!!
