  1. It really can't be said enough how integral Jimmy and Nicola are to the enjoyment of this show. One of the best on-screen partnerships on soaps today. Rejoice! Moira cut that poodle of her head. I don't know what I think of her current hair style, but anything is better than what she had before. Let's hope the next time we see Chas, she has rid herself of those horrid bangs. On a random note, I saw a picture yesterday of Katie in her wedding dress during her first go round with Andy. She looked like a child hooker going to prom. I could not stop staring in horror.
  2. Glen Wallace (Malachy Fisher, one of my absolute favourites) has been on EastEnders in the recurring role of DS Cameron Bryant since late April. Samantha Giles (Valerie Holden, Lauren Valentine's mother) and Katherine Dow Blyton (Sally Hunter, mother of Dan, Lee, Ellie and Lisa) are currently on Emmerdale. Samantha Giles, of course, being back in her most famous role as Bernice Blackstock.
  3. Just noticed a forum existed for this show. I'm with you guys. The show is out of control on stunts, shocks, way too many damn babies and plot, plot, plot. There are no characters anymore. Just drawn out, despressing, craziness. I still find things to like here and there, but this show used to be so brilliant when I started watching clips during Justin and Becca's affair and baby Grace's death. The show needs to get rid of all the criminals and most of the characters saddled with children and center the show back on the college, with the SU Bar and halls being in major set rotation again.
  4. It's been nice to see Pearl again these last couple of weeks. Before that, it had been quite awhile. I can't even remember the last time we saw Betty, my favourite. Is it wrong that I don't want to see Robert get a comeuppance? I want him to succeed in whatever way he chooses. For now, at least. Michael Parr was once again great last night. If only he would actually learn from his mistakes. Charley Webb looked so young last night, particularly when we first saw her in her house with that blue jumper. Sometimes I forget her actual age with all that she's been through.
  5. There is one film that I used to own as a kid (on VHS) that I rewatched more than any other. Unforunately, more than a decade ago it got lost or eaten or thrown away and the worst part is I can't even remotely remember the name of it. All I remember is that it was an educational children's movie. There was no plot, just a very nice older lady playing a teacher in her classroom. I think she mostly taught the viewer about letters and words and I remember it being quite colourful throughout. The identity of this movie has plagued me for years and if anyone has any idea what it could possibly be, I would owe you my first born. (Does that hold the same weight if I never plan on having children, anyway?)
  6. You do remember, we saw Jay and Ben bury Lucy's purse and wallet, don't you?
  7. Mordecai - I hate Johnny Depp's shitck as much as the next guy, but I saw Guy Burnett in that trailer in a few instances. I loved him on Hollyoaks as Craig Dean, so I may have to watch this. I hope it means good things for him. Plus, Ewan McGregor can make me watch anything once (except Star Wars.)
  8. For once, I'd like to see a Cinderella tale where the father gets his just desserts for leaving his daughter with these wretched people. It'll be funny to see the Downton Abbey stars switched around. Most importantly, Richard Madden as Prince Charming is dream casting.
  9. Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this, but other than the Cannes Film Festival are there any other film festivals which (can) help serve as a precursor to the Oscars?
  10. Stephen Dorff is one of those people that has always been beautiful. I remember seeing him on an episode of Roseanne when he was a teenager, presumably, and he still looked gorgeous.
  11. It sounds more like you are talking about Luke Macfarlane.
  12. My TV crush has to be Johnny Galecki during the Roseanne years. I still love him to this very day. And then, Victor Webster from when he was on Days of Our Lives. My God, he and Ryan Phillipe in Creul Intentions made me realize I was gay more than anyone/thing else.
  13. I was watching some clips of his show on YouTube last night and it made me wonder if Billy Eichner from the hilarious Billy on the Street, might be good for this show. He definitely wouldn't hold back.
  14. Michelle Forbes and Billie Burke? Why the heck have I not seen this show?
  15. I'm right there with you. I hope this is far from the last time we see him.
  16. Not quite. They were just married to the same man, Kevin Wicks. They used to hate each other, but have formed a friendship over time.
  17. Yes, I definitely did, too. His name was ... wait for it ... Mr. Rogers! He created a special class just for our school where he made his own curriculum for grade 12 English students and instead of being in a stuffy classroom, we went to a cabin at a summer camp everyday. He even showed us this film, which is where I first saw it.
  18. Lindsay (about her shoplifting): I'm a woman and I'm white. I think I'll be okay.
  19. As I read this, I instantly remembered some movie where Stockard Channing commits suicide by jumping off her balcony, I think, pretty early on in the film. Anyone remember/know what movie I'm talking about?
  20. Finn Wittrock was also Taylor Kitsch's lover in The Normal Heart.
  21. I always said if I ever wanted to be responsible for another living thing I would have no other choice than to get the same type of dog as Chance and call him that as well. I usually hate all animal films (animation not withstanding), but Homeward Bound is the exception. One of my favourite movies ever that I can watch over and over without a care in the world.
  22. In a recent THR roundtable, Claire Danes admitted she dropped out of going to college after two years.
  23. Oh damn, I didn't even know about Martha Hyer's passing.
  24. Danny is a horrible, selfish, unsympathetic loser. One of the worst things about Hollyoaks, which I love.
