  1. I've been meaning to post this here for a while now, it's an interview with Michael Weatherly and Sean Murray about the McNozzo Bromance http://www.buzzfeed.com/arianelange/mcnozzo-mcgee-dinozzo-bros-for-life
  2. Harry Shum Jr cast in 'Crouching Dragon, Hidden Tiger' sequel. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/glees-harry-shum-jr-joins-722369
  3. Lea Michele to appear in Sons of Anarchy. Sounds like the role couldn't be more different from Rachel if she tried! http://tvline.com/2014/07/28/lea-michele-sons-of-anarchy-season-7-guest-star/ For all those in the UK Kevin McHale's new show Virtually Famous is on e4 at 10:00pm. I watched it last week, it was really funny.
  4. I thought the episodes focused solely in New York were the worst episodes of Glee ever made. They were about vile people basically being vile and selfish to everyone around them. Season 4 isn't great, the writing is dreadful. I didn't mind the new characters it was the destruction of the old ones that was awful. Tina became a complete bitch, Artie a complete douchebag, Sam, dumber than a bunch of rock and yes, Brittany a genius. And that was nothing compared to how insufferable they made the special snowflakes, Blaine and Rachel.
  5. It's an unusual combination of voices, and no-one dominates it. I'm also a big fan.
  6. I agree that's the way they'll go and try and convince us Sam grew a brain. Sounds like most of my teachers!
  7. I can't think of three characters I buy less as teachers than Rachel, Blaine or Sam, all for different reasons. Rachel and Blaine are way too self involved, Sam way too stupid. There are actually several characters I would buy as teachers but they've all been written out. I'd buy Quinn, Mike, maybe Mercedes and possibly Tina. I would buy Kurt as a teacher but never back in Ohio.
  8. It wasn't just they had so many 'virginity' storylines, they were all the same. Boy wants sex, girl isn't sure, girl is also not sure if boy will stay if she doesn't have sex. It was a tired trope with Rachel in season 1, it was freakin exhausted by season 5.
  9. I don't think Glee was bound to fail. With a team of decent writers I think it could've gone on for far longer, and been of a far higher quality. At the start Glee seemed to say 'here are a bunch of stereotypes but we're gonna show that they not just that'. But after season 1 that seemed to fall away and the characters were nothing more than a bunch of stereotypes. No-one became anything that you wouldn't expect from those initial stereotypes, or even had any storyline that broke the mould of their character even a little bit.
  10. On a lighter note. Kevin McHale doing Surprise Karaoke on BBCR1: Don't Stop Bielibin'
  11. It's officially 13 http://tvline.com/2014/07/10/glee-season-6-episodes-13/
  12. Nice to see Glee is even pretending to care about diversity these days with its regulars. When I say nice I mean dreadful. Although we are getting women of colour in guest slots. I'm sure that'll be to remind each of them once again they're as talented or hard working as Rachel. Ugh.
  13. Sugar had no writing/storylines, the newbies, particularly Marley had dreadful storylines, there's a difference.
  14. If it's not on the page then there's nothing the actors can do. That's true in all three cases.
  15. This was my major problem with the episode (hence wanting to slap Mike). Mike's awful to Tina, and she accepts it. Which with any other couple on Glee I might've accepted that but they spent the better part of two seasons basically saying that Mike and Tina think the sun rises and sets on each other. There's just no way I believe him not supporting her.
  16. Pot O' Gold was kinda meh, I wouldn't watch it back, but I don't hate it. Much as I dislike the misogyny in I Kissed a Girl, the music was great and Santana rocks. Props actually makes me want to throw things at the screen. I just watched the Spanish Teacher to eye up Ricky Martin!
  17. So I just finished watching season 3. (Yes I'm watching in reverse order). And: Christ Finchel is dull. The marriage plot seemed to be because they had nothing else to do. With the exception of Santana, West Side Story was cast completely wrongly. Matt Bomer is really really pretty. Props is the worst episode of Glee EVER. I wanted to slap the shit of out Mike Chang so badly, (one of my favourite characters) that's how bad that is. Season 3 is really bad for all the women have to saved/helped by men, and with the exception of Tina helping Mike patch things up with his Dad it's never reciprocated. Also season 3 had two tribute episodes to major black artist, and over the course of the two episode the only black character has no solo, only duets with white men, and participates in a group number.
  18. New season regular for season 10: http://tvline.com/2014/07/01/jennifer-love-hewitt-criminal-minds-season-10/
  19. Tina always had a spark. Even in season one she bitchslapped Artie and Figgins. She's a great character til Props, after that the writers ruined her.
  20. Marley had no personality, yet everyone thought she was wonderful. The other newbies had nothing that didn't relate to Marley. It's telling I loved Kitty when she was being a complete bitch, and Jake improved no end in my eyes when he started being a complete prick.
  21. Melissa Benoist Joins Film Adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' The Longest Ride
  22. They tried everything but decent storylines, creating strong characters and giving them music that suited them!
  23. I've been watching Sean Maguire on TV since he was 12 years old and I don't think I've ever seen him play anyone who wasn't essentially a good guy. That's one of the reasons I love watching him. I thought Robin was always potrayed as someone with no grey areas, so far anyway (although season 2 is a little hazy for me). He follows 'good' or morally right no matter what, whether that violates laws or rules.
  24. I love the sectionals performance from season 3, I think it's my favourite competition performance from the whole series. ABC is fantastic, I love any chance Tina gets to shine, I think I actually squealed when I first saw it (yes I'm a grown up, honestly!) I love the rest of the boys on Man in the Mirror too. I like Control, I thought it was something a bit different too. One thing I liked about the McKinlay side of seasons 4 and 5 was the end numbers in the auditorium generally had the lead vocal being passed about, and I love that. It's not just Glee, I love it generally.
