  1. So Adam Foster who will be played by Blake Jenner is Cat's son. How is someone Blake Jenner's size supposed to have come out of Calista Flockhart. Did she have sex with a giant?!
  2. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/fempire/id1064978212?mt=2&i=358961536 This is the link to the podcast. The dig is about from 27.30 They're interviewing Fancy, and talking about fangirling. He says he was trying not to fangirl over Becca, and he had a hard time not talking about Glee to which she says. "You obviously didn't watch it or you have an easy time not talking about it."
  3. Is anyone else listening to Becca's podcast? She had a bit of a dig at Glee, very funny.
  4. I'm sure I made that comparison in a previous episodes. I'm wondering if he can actually die!
  5. I laugh solidly for about five minutes after. I did like that the CIA dismissed Maria Ostrov as a beauty queen who married up but Bess wasn't convinced. Also I could live forever without hearing Tell it to My Heart murdered again.
  6. It's the mid-season finale. They got a full season order.
  7. Please let Caleb and Ryan die. But I'm guessing Brandon is already dead (we've never seen him in the future) and one of the twins and/or Natalie die.
  8. I'm watch an old Aaron Sorkin show called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Simon Helberg has a small role.
  9. I tried to watched this episode, mostly because I saw pictures of Brandon in nothing but a towel, (yes, I'm shallow), but the stupid was just too strong. I've been arguing with myself, but did they deliberately have Simon getting shit from the two Muslim women, the black guy then the white guy giving him a break. I assume its thoughtlessness, or are they trying to make some weird reverse racism point.
  10. I saw A Few Good Men before I knew who Sorkin was, I never realised it was the same person who wrote the West Wing until John Barrowman was on TV talking about appear in the stage version in the west end. Rob Lowe was in that too. I watched Studio 60 but bailed mid series because I hated the sexist way Danny pursued Jordan. But the third episode The Focus Group is one of my favourite Sorkin episodes of anything. And it has my favourite quote that is relevant about the use of focus groups Jordan: are you bothered at all by the spectacular lack of success these things have at predicting success. Jack: that's not true Jordan: they blew Seinfeld, the blew All in the Family, the blew Hill Street Blues Jack: look at the data on ER, Clooney broke the needle Jordan: Yeah, I need a damn focus group to tell me Clooney's good looking. I loved The Newsroom, like The West Wing it has some fantastic dialogue. This is my personal favourite
  11. oh dear god. https://twitter.com/marksalling/status/674494173345480704
  12. Just a question, does anyone ever have the TV up louder than they realised, then have the crap scared out of them by The West Wing theme tune?
  13. The nearly empty table was a gut punch. I always remember the NYPD guy being really funny. I hope the men still with us are actually getting the care they need. Nice to see Jon, I loved "You're not from around her, are you?"
  14. Go Kevin https://twitter.com/druiddude/status/674048172801531904
  15. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/fempire/id1064978212?mt=2 Becca's started a podcast with a couple of other women. Haven't listened yet, but I like a good female centred podcast.
  16. I've also just noticed how much of a foodie they made Leo.
  17. I'm watching Holy Night, something has bugged me for years. How on earth is the frog French royalty? Didn't they all get beheaded a couple of hundred years ago?
  18. That was the only scene I could think that might have. I haven't watched the last couple of episodes so I wasn't sure.
  19. Yo-yo Ma Rules! I love Donna. I love the painting sub-plot in Noel.
  20. I'm rewatching the various Christmas episodes just now, and I'm just watching Mrs Landingham tell Charlie about her sons. It never fails to make me well up.
  21. I wonder how often this show fails the Bechdel Test? I'd say probably all bar maybe two or three episodes this season.
  22. I don't know if I said before that I'm from Scotland, I live not that far from Dunblane where the had a mass shooting nearly twenty years ago. I remember the gun control debate we had after that. Honestly it was more about how strict the legistlation would be, not whether there would be any. Also there were stricter background check and new processes after concern about Thomas Hamilton were missed. To let you understand how strict gun laws are, they had to relax them for a few months in 2012 for the Olympics, because some of the guns used in Olympic events are illegal to own in the UK. The quote about everyone joining the NRA is from The West Wing.
  23. I often rewatch random episodes but rarely, if ever, from season 6. But since everyone was talking about Liftoff I watched it. I'd really forgotten how good it is. I love the fake resignations, even Will's Wonder Woman comment. I really do think Allison Janney is this show's MVP.
  24. Not really, if a department continued to perform well while under staffed and underfunded you'd probably find it would remain both. This show is based on a documentary set in an LA hospital, done by a medical student, so it's certainly trying to be how this works in the real world. http://www.post-gazette.com/ae/tv-radio/2015/09/27/TV-preview-Pitt-med-school-grad-executive-produces-network-s-Code-Black/stories/201509220221
