  1. I get the impression that they can only bring the airport flight multiple options into play when flying within the EU, this day and age the security, etc. issues going from other countries would be too difficult to deal with so they're spoon-fed outside of Europe. Good call to the Colin & Christie raced before Travelocity became a thing, hence not paying attention to the Roaming Gnome.
  2. Lord, Switzerland has some beautiful scenery. The tasks were straightforward but still looked fun (or terrifying) to do. Would have been a fun episode if not for the whole Big Brother drama, IMO. That, coupled with the NEL, and the previews for next week... yikes. I know airport situations have been trimmed back over the years, but is the flight from Kampala to Zurich direct, and if so, wonder how long it takes?
  3. That table read where Varys was to be killed... the expressions on Conleth Hill's face... yeah. He looked totally fed up and it seemed like a fellow actor (Gwendoline, maybe?) had a hand on his knee in consolation. Enjoyable 'behind the scenes' bit, that. It's crazy how much goes on in a production like this. Lottie is adorable and I felt for her mom.
  4. Happy that Tyler and Korey were able to take a positive experience after initial apprehension. The Head-to-Head, yeah count me in with those who feel it's not a great task to have right before the pit stop. They should bring back Intersection if anything. Let some of these teams co-operate a bit.
  5. Yeah, it's not exactly Chronicles of Riddick's "Keep what you Kill", but Drogon's reaction suggested something similar when he looked at Jon then moved on.
  6. I'll suggest it's a combination of ash and snow in the aftermath of KL's destruction - a meteorologist's nightmare, to be sure. On the Dragonpit scenes, we have I think four new, unnamed faces (plus the Dorne fella), I guess the show put them in as filler for the 'other great houses', but wonder if they represent any groups of significance? One to fill in for whoever moves up in the Westerlands after the Lannisters fell, one maybe for another Northern house, one for the Stormlands (as Gendry is newly instated)? And one for the Reach (even though Sam may have that role for the time being)?
  7. That was quite fun going through the results, cheers Holmbo
  8. I'd guess Drogon may head to old Valyria, although there's a chance he'd go to wherever it was between Vaes Dothrak and Qarth that he and his brothers were hatched. Naath is somewhere south of Essos I believe. Bronn wouldn't have had Highgarden at the time, it was only a promise made by Tyrion (who at the time was in no position to grant such a wish), so it made sense for Sam to represent the Reach via House Tarly. Who may have been missing? the Westerlands - no Lannisters presumably, we don't know of any other Houses in-show that were loyal to the Lannisters besides Clegane. Maybe the no-name reps are filling in that gap. I don't mind Davos there, if anything the Starks, Gendry or the Vale reps would vouch for his presence. - So, it seems like Robin Arryn got himself some of that Giant's Milk? Well done, Tormund. I want a cut-scene where the Iron Bank shows up to see what they can get out of Bronn. Theoretically, Bran wouldn't need a Master of Whispers, you know, all 3ER and all that...
  9. The name is clutzy, but the colour scheme is cool. This. Victoria after one night of Ponderosa was *smashing*. I think they're all cleaning up quite well for the reunion show. Reem's hairstyle works amazing for her, for example. Lauren looked great. Wendy, also gorgeous. Props to whoever above compared Aurora to Ronda Rousey, but Aurora looked quite beautiful. As for Probst and that all-too-awkward BROS moment with Joe, yeah you'd think after all those years he'd figure out how to handle chatting with his man-crushes. Sandra and Rob as mentors for next season is intriguing, although I don't rate Rob as highly as Sandra on the skilled Survivors meter. Hopefully they won't manipulate outcomes to suit whatever TPTB deigns as their golden child(ren). On Joe (and Kelly Wentworth)... they'd probably be suited for the next Amazing Race Reality Crossover season - they'd be MILES more pleasant to watch than Corinne and Eliza, and tons more competent too. Let's not further damage Joe's legacy with another Survivor run.
  10. Agreed 100%. The Trant thing was just me at a glance. For Jon (and Davos as well), the turn of events had to be quite upsetting.
  11. Janos Slynt got sent to the Wall in both show and books. Trant went to Braavos and was killed by Arya in the show (he didn't go there in the books).
  12. On first watch he looked quite a bit like Meryn Trant... which I guess would be apropos considering he wasn't above a bit of abusing young women. How weird was it that they introduced that Strickland fella as the head of the Golden Company, he's pretty much a non-entity for several episodes, and in his 'major moment', turns into a craven and is unceremoniously dispatched.
  13. You beat me to it. Why do people delight in being a bitch? Hopefully this is the last time CBS/TAR does this reality cross-over bit. It's like some of the teams are angling to pursue their reality-TV career as opposed to competing.
  14. Seriously. Beyond poor form. Who vets the scripts anyway? By the way Meera Reed called in. She says that Jon's dismissal of Ghost was the coldest thing she's ever witnessed. I don't give a crap about Euron on this show, but surely he will ask Cersei how the hell Tyrion knew she was bumped up when he left KL long before Euron's sexytime? As for Missandei's fate, good lord. The show teased the demise of Grey Worm last episode to quell the Happily Ever After on Naath bit, then he survived. And of course we get a scene of the twosome holding hands and smiling (Jacob Anderson has never smiled more in this role!). So of course, the show-runners tear it away from us. And because I think Nathalie Emmanuel is a living goddess, I was all ARRRRRRRGH at how it all played out. Grey Worm, let's go Super Saiyan on these Lannister nasties.
  15. Was Missandei with Dany et al., at the Dragonpit? Cersei or Qyburn would likely have made a note of all of Dany's supporters at that parley.
  16. All of the above. Didn't have a clue, and of course none of it matters. And yes, Ron's got a good-looking fella too 😃 Good comparison! For someone who's seemed to be on the brink of packing it in mentally, she's persevered quite a bit and with an idol still in her pocket, has to be a favourite to make the end. Add me to those who suggest a Victoria-Lauren-Aurora Final 3, except that Julie is cemented as a goat to carry along.
  17. And if we want to go the grudges angle instead, there were options with Nebula, Drax, Gamora. Have all three of them take a role at the last. My spoiler-free guess of which Original6 members would die in this movie were Nat and Bruce, and when Hulk took the new gauntlet it seemed like it would make sense. Man who didn't fit in and struggled to come to grips... except that they had changed his character with the "Prof Hulk" bit and he was at peace.
  18. For a brief second I thought so but it turned out to be Hope. That would have been a hell of a surprise. Hate that Sif just got abandoned from the MCU without a passing thought by *anybody*. Wonder why recasting her (and throwing in a bit of a sidestory) wasn't an option. As mentioned by several on this thread, the team choices were a bit odd. With the whole "who's been in space" bit, you'd have thought that Nebula/Rocket/Thor would have led separate teams. I get it, Clint and Nat work well together, and yes Thor and Rocket had a good rapport from the previous adventure. But with Morag and Vormir being unfamiliar territory, seems like they should have considered Thor+Hawkeye going to Asgard and Rocket+Widow to Vormir.
  19. Isn't DM to the west of Winterfell? So it's possible the Glovers are still around, whimpering behind their walls after abandoning the Stark cause. Perhaps Sansa's next move as Lady of Winterfell will be to take away the Glovers' title and land and pass them along to the Greyjoys (Yara).
  20. I guess that the demise of Jorah means that the already very slim chance of Quaithe reappearing on the show has evaporated.
  21. My impression is that Team Fun panicked a bit when their names were seen and they let themselves get convinced to U-turn a strong team (who else was there at the time, was it the Afghanimals?) rather than take a minute to weigh up the options. Because otherwise I agree, the safer option would be to target a weaker team. Oh, and this Race will never get old when they keep having scenes of smiling children. Those students watching and cheering (and yes, laughing at on occasion at) the contestants was a delight.
  22. Who wins a physical challenge? "Wardog" or Crystal Cox?
  23. Wasn't there an episode where Dre had finally "had enough" of his co-workers' behaviour? I like most of the writing and themes of the show but it's probably past time the office situation went beyond the casual racism, et al.
  24. Possibly, but the showrunners appear to be taking it a bit over the top, maybe as a reaction to current events. Or they're trying to give some kind of motivation for Missandei's feelings about the North with this bit of overkill. We haven't seen anything even approaching this with the likes of Brienne or Davos, for example.
  25. This was my read as well. The way the episode was going at this point, Julia was more prominent in discussions overall and once she fell in the IC it seemed that she could be a target of the Lesu group. Aurora's name may have been floated first at TC, but it makes sense that as the whispers went on (and Julia lost her nerve), Julia's name would have been more prominent. That would have been freaking awesome for this TC! Because clearly the CBS team saw how chaotic this was during editing.
