  1. But on the positive side if you're stuck with an awful celeb, you're not stuck with that particular schmuck for the whole show, in this incarnation civilians switch celebs at the halfway point.
  2. Ditto, This Is Us is a good show, SKB is awesome, as is the woman who plays his wife, and the storyline with his bio-dad was just simply great TV storytelling. But the subplots with the brother, sister and parents were so mediocre, poorly acted and blandly written, it made the SBK storyline shine even more. I can't imagine the writers improving on that first season storyline, so I won't be tuning in for season 2.
  3. but I hated how he was cut short, while earlier Nicole Kidman (whom I adore) went on ad nauseum. How cute was SKB when he said his TV family was the best white family a brother ever had and that includes Webster! It was featured on The Handmaid's Tale.
  4. Just because she made some for Andy doesn't mean she eats it.
  5. I loved HTL, never missed a show. I agree, GB would be a great addition to the show.
  6. I guess I'll be skipping this week, seems like a summer line-up.
  7. Seriously! Leaving The View (whether it was voluntary or not) was the best thing that ever happened to NW!
  8. He sure was! CF was a big fan, like me, of crime fiction. He interviewed Ireland's Ken Bruen and UK's Stuart Neville before anybody.
  9. I enjoy it on shows like CBS Sunday Morning which feature thoughtful interviewers, totally unlike the panelists on The View. I'm skipping HRC's visit to the View because I can't imagine any of those 5 women adding any kind of insight that hasn't already been covered.
  10. Al Franken is funnier. That just may be the understatement of the decade.
  11. That's because her husband is her leader. And Paula is passing that lovely sentiment on to her children, including her daughter. Isn't she great? Saw Hillary on CBS Sunday Morning with Jane Pauley, have no desire to see her shilling her book again. I'll only be DVRing Friday's episode for JF and MG.
  12. It's a shame we get several segments of "hot topics", and by that I mean several segments of ridiculous conversations of no importance, and then a single, rushed segment with 2 stars of a hit show, both of whom have more story-telling talent and natural charisma than four fifths of the panel. It's nae fair I tells ya!
  13. I can't imagine she'd work a five-episode week.
  14. I can't picture either of these guys acting in anything else other than soap operas. As far as B&B goes, they're in the upper echelons of the acting department, but that's indeed faint praise. They're moderately talented but SC lacks any kind of testosterone, and DB has no edge whatsoever.
  15. Her clues for Scarlett Johannsen were profound! 'Red....Red....Red...'
  16. Ditto, aquarian1, I know who SJ is, I know she's a good actress. Didn't know she played a superhero, never saw any of the Marvel superhero movies, don't know anything about her personal life. The only thing that popped up when I saw her name was The Horse Whisperer.
  17. Yup, Adam Gregory was cute, but he couldn't act. Two wrongs don't make a right. It's a shame they're losing a leading man who can actually act yet still maintain a whole slew of atrocious actors (Charlie, Nicole, Maya, Rick, RJ...) How so?
  18. Nevermind, I just realized I already posted my list!
