  1. Was it explained why Sophia is a Greeleaf and not a Fisher? I got that they are working together to take down the Greenleafs (Greenleaves?), but when was it revealed their sisters-in-law?
  2. Kai's best quality is that he can read people and know what they want. Kai tapped into Harrison's rage about growing up gay in this country. Kai connected with Chaz's character about being an angry young man. He knows what Beverly wants above all else is equal power, so that's why he's promising it to her. However, it's clear to me there's only one sheriff in town and that's Kai. I loved it when Kai told Beverly he was running for city council and Beverly told him there was no vacancies. I almost saw it written in Kai's eyes "Not yet!".
  3. I thought Kasich's idea of a peaceful change of regime would be poisoning rather than bloody coup.
  4. So has 95% of the TV viewing audience.
  5. Which makes it must-see-TV! :) I'll be tuning in for Thursday and Friday's shows.
  6. I think I remember Renny from Season 10 cooking dinner a few times for all the HG's.
  7. Dermot Mulroney was listed in the opening credits, yet I don't recall seeing him.
  8. and my totally fallible intuition, but you got it!
  9. Oh, I can. Her silence on the subject is deafening. 'Christians' is a huge umbrella that includes Catholics, Presbyterians, Episcopalians, Methodists, Lutherans et al. PF is specifically a born-again Christian, someone mentioned above that 35% are in favor of gay marriage while 65% are not.
  10. Your numbers say 35% support it, that means 65% don't support it, that's nearly two-thirds. I'll go with the odds. Paula has repeatedly said how her husband is her and her family's leader. This is not a progressive woman.
  11. The Talk and The View are two different animals. I'll DVR The Talk and The View if they have good guests. I never watch The View or The Talk's first half hour because I hate the chat. The Talk because they talk about the dumbest subjects, and The View because Whoopi ruins it for me with her condescension, her mean-spiritedness and her general lack of understanding of the issues she thinks she's an expert on. What The Talk does well is interview guests, generally guests get two segments as opposed to The View's one segment. The Talk lets the guests speak, The View tends to cut them off with new questions. Two different shows with different approaches with their own assets and liabilities.
  12. Paula is a born-again Christian, I can guarantee she does not support gay rights, especially marriage equality.
  13. Yesterday's episode crystallized one thought I've been having about The Talk: I love the audience. After the panel talked about the horror of Nicole Kidman kissing another man on the lips, Julie asked the audience if this matters, they reacted with a resounding "NO!!!" Thank you audience for common sense!
  14. But on the positive side if you're stuck with an awful celeb, you're not stuck with that particular schmuck for the whole show, in this incarnation civilians switch celebs at the halfway point.
  15. Ditto, This Is Us is a good show, SKB is awesome, as is the woman who plays his wife, and the storyline with his bio-dad was just simply great TV storytelling. But the subplots with the brother, sister and parents were so mediocre, poorly acted and blandly written, it made the SBK storyline shine even more. I can't imagine the writers improving on that first season storyline, so I won't be tuning in for season 2.
  16. but I hated how he was cut short, while earlier Nicole Kidman (whom I adore) went on ad nauseum. How cute was SKB when he said his TV family was the best white family a brother ever had and that includes Webster! It was featured on The Handmaid's Tale.
  17. Just because she made some for Andy doesn't mean she eats it.
  18. I loved HTL, never missed a show. I agree, GB would be a great addition to the show.
  19. I guess I'll be skipping this week, seems like a summer line-up.
  20. Seriously! Leaving The View (whether it was voluntary or not) was the best thing that ever happened to NW!
  21. He sure was! CF was a big fan, like me, of crime fiction. He interviewed Ireland's Ken Bruen and UK's Stuart Neville before anybody.
