Is that different than DCC. The DCC rookies all get their ring at the end of their first season regardless of whether they return or not. Just trying to understand if that is different at DBC or is the DBC Veteran ring a different thing altogether?

Are you sure that you are always hearing the actual music they were dancing to. Often the soundtrack is changed for copyright reasons and there have been numerous detrimental comments about the replacement choices. The best example is that you will never see them dancing to Thunderstruck on CMT MTT even though everyone knows that is the music they dance to pre-game. I always prefer to watch live or pirate phone stuff because you get the actual music.

I've found these to be quite fun. The playoff episode was good and gave a good insight into the locker room vibe. Perhaps TPTB might actually pick up the idea (I wish) and give us more insight into the team during the season. The Disney trip with Jensen was cute and fun to watch. Bring on more of the same.

I cannot understand how such a contract could be binding if the potential employee was still in training camp and had not yet been confirmed as a member of the team.

I think this is a "damned if you do" and "damned if you don't situation". Putting aside anyone's views on JJ as a person, I think the main motive behind the whole "cover up" was to protect the reputations of CJA, the cheerleaders involved and the cheerleaders in general. I understand that the sleaze bag at the centre of this consequently got off lightly but the recent reports indicate only circumstantial and a lack of solid evidence. If he had been dismissed he could have claimed unfair dismissal and the story would have come out anyway with the potential of him gaining compensation if the reason for dismissal could not be proven. As in any case it comes down to whether the evidence is sufficient to convict. I don't for a minute think the ladies involved were satisfied with the outcome but they were at the time kept from the press feeding frenzy and compensated to a degree. Current reactions to the story coming to light are an indication of what that press reaction would have been. I'm not sure whether I'm happy that the story has finally been aired or not. It may have come as a relief to the ladies involved or not.

What's so special about DCC that makes it different from any other workplace. You don't leave your current employment so that someone else can come and take your job anymore than you would hesitate to apply for a new job because you might deprive someone else of the opportunity to get it. It comes down to seeking better prospects, better rewards and improved happiness....and you don't burn your bridges till you have crossed them.

This! I doubt there is anyone out there who would go to their current employer and tell them they were going to interview for a job elsewhere. She was clearly loved by her teammates but her heart was made in New York.

They started to clamp down and control the uniforms in the 80s and Ladies had to start signing for everything. That was as a result of uniform items being found on sale to dubious buyers. The ladies who admitted to having a uniform pre-dated those controls. Current PTB have it controlled very tightly and as one DCC said recently "you hand everything back and all you are left with are the memories"

I understand your point but there have been a lot of TCCs over the years who where captains of their dance teams before coming to DCC. Not all even make it through TC and there are eventually only eight leadership places when they do. I think it was 2013 or 2014 auditions when CMT featured just how many ladies had been captains of their former teams. Not saying she won't achieve it, just that the odds are high.

My only concern is whether she has leadership qualities. She was made to appear very shy at first but that could have been CMT edit. There is more to GL or point than just good dancing. She may just be a good team mate rather than a leader.

I'm in a quandary. I'm a big Gina fan and would love her to do another year. I'm also a big Claire fan and would love her to make point. I could see her 2nd point next year and Gina, if she stays at 1st. I've already had my say about Jensen. I think she is a solid DCC.

Another vote of support from me. I've seen comments elsewhere and to be honest they all seem to be based on a little bit of CMT drama but some seem to succumb to that. TPTB gave her "check plus" for figure, personality and for her audition solo. The only problem was kicks. Well there have been quite a few long tenured ladies who were pulled up for kicks. I like her a lot. As TPTB said she is a head turner on the field.

Only my interpretation as there is nothing in writing but I've always thought of a legacy as someone who's mother had been a DCC. I'd be interested in what others opinion is.

Looks wise Lexie is very pretty. Gina can take a good modelling photo too. She is a cloths horse and would look good in a plastic bag. I think Dani has beautiful fresh features and Tori has a stunning, poised elegant look. They all have something to offer to the DCC bouquet.
