She did audition. As a returning veteran she entered the audition process with the other veterans at the second round, did solos and progressed to and through training camp.

There is the elephant in the room. Selection should be based purely on a number of pre-determined criteria such as leadership skills, technique, seniority etc. but skin colour shouldn't be one of them.

I have to agree with you. I've seen a number of posts on different subjects recently that have all been turned into discussions about her. I'd much rather discuss the new rookies and the rest of the team.

This rule actually makes me sad. I'm a big Gina fan. She had the dance taken away from her when she tore her ACL, made a great comeback then couldn't dance on the field during 2020. She finally got her recognition as point last season and did a great job. Her retirement announcement was very late which makes me think it wasn't her decision. If that is true then I think it was shoddy treatment and may be a factor in her deciding to sell up and return to Cal. Also it is sad for any furure 5th Year who hasn't yet achieved their target. They will know their chance has gone.

As far as I know it is usually the current not the new showgroup that goes to Oxnard. I don't even know if the new showgroup has been selected yet. However, what you are seeing is last year's SG minus those like Lexie and Gina who retired and plus Dani and Kellee. Gina and Rachel shared point last season and both have retired. Both were on SG. In a four SG members retired.

She was before she took a year out. The 2022/3 showgroup hasn't been announced yet. The 2021 showgroup (less the retiring members like Lexie, Gina etc) and plus Dani and Kellee are at Cowboys Training Camp, without Victoria.

I understand it is the 2021 showgroup less those showgroup members that retired at the end of last season (Gina, Lexie, etc.) and plus Dani and Kellee making a total of 16. So including Kat. There are only eight or nine visible in that photo.

Yes, I agree. There is no foundation for the rumour. The focus has always been on good leadership. I think Gina's decision not to return came as a surprise.

Nothing strange about it. They say you don't really miss something until it's gone. I think Gina is a case in point. Some were always going to spend their time discussing her body type but the girl was the total package. Great dancer including the extra. Great with the kids at camp. A good leader and a great point. A strong lady, coming back from a torn ACL Great enough to get a compliment from the G.O.A.T. Nicole Hamilton. I am going to miss her next season. Big shoes to fill.

That's interesting because if it's not the crew then nothing about TC apart from the filming has changed. Then why are we not getting the usual leaks and tips from the types of sources mentioned. My mind is working overtime as to why that might be.

I think Hannah tried out three times before she made TC. It was mentioned briefly on MTT but they didn't dramatise it like they did with Christina R or Brennan.

I think it is becoming obvious that a lot of the leaks and resulting speculation came from the film crew. We had the recent revelations ( sadly deleted) on redit. The lack of leaks seems to relate to the lack of a film crew. I think someone at Cowboys needs to do something about this or run the risk of loosing fans through lack of anything to get interested in.

This has been posted in spoilers on DCC MTT on Facebook. It says the four ladies greyed out have been cut. No further source than that.

You can see by my avatar that I'm a big Gina fan but I'm rather puzzled as to what she is currently planning. She has been selling up a lot of stuff on her I.G. which makes me think she might be moving back to Ca. where her boyfriend lives and works. They seem very close. That wouldn't preclude her from being an All Star so I hope she is going to be. She has been very involved in recent camps as well.
