I don't think the last two years can really be considered as normal. Covid has played havoc with arrangements and appearances. I suspect things will slowly return to normal and showgroup appearances will increase. I don't really think that showgroup has anything to do with whether there is a MTT this year or any other year apart from providing a bit of DRAHMA.

Don't give up yet. There's been no announcement but we wouldn't be seeing anything yet during any season. The program only shows from about October so still a chance that we might get some footage.

Is there anyone else who having read those reddit production posts is now desperate to see all that footage that was cut. I wonder if it still exists, who might have it and what the plans are for it. There is an audience out there hungry to see it I'm sure.

You may find episodes on the Cinema HD app. I've been able to download S13 and S14 recently.

They all lived in the same apartment block just a few steps from each other. Tara and Savannah together and Gina shared with Molly. There were others in that block too. They called it the "DCC dorm". There is chat about it on the "These boots" podcast (Molly and Gina)

The terminology is "veteran candidate" which has always struck me as strange because many of the veterans, particularly show group, will have their uniforms and be performing during training camp.

Her I.G. was hacked and cloned several weeks back. She reinstated it but as "petersen". The last time I looked "pedersen" was still in the hands of the hacker.

Taylor P was one of my biggest regrets as a "one and done". I know she missed home and family but she would have been a great DCC. I remember the clip at Meet The Team when her grandpa said "you did it big time didn't you". She looked great in the uniform and was a good dancer. I'm sure she will excel at everything she sets her mind to.

Do you think this is what Brennan was hinting at when she mentioned "the way things are going" when she was cut season 15? The previous few seasons had seen some "older" ladies making the team but the season 15 intake was more of a return to the 70s/80s 18/19 year old.

No, I don't think that was the only consideration or even the most important but the split does allow an extra degree of freedom to movement.

After your comment I revisited the podcast and it was my error. It was Shannon Baker Werthmann who tried out underage at 17, not Tami.

I've read a lot of comment about the girls on the team being so young these days as if it is something new. In the "America's Girls" podcast Tami Barber said she joined underage at 17 at "a time when most of the girls on the squad were 18 or 19". So today's girls may be young but they are not unique in that.

Gina managed it but the comments she got pointed to her being exceptional rather than the rule. Fingers crossed but 12 months is a long time for life to intervene.

Does anyone have a flavour of how many girls tried out in the first round?. 2020 was supposed to have been about 1500 with everywhere else closing due to covid. Last year that dropped to about 600 as things opened up again. The fact that so few veterans retired this year, making places more difficult, may have impacted numbers again.

Hope she does. I was never comfortable about her DCC cut.

..and so nice to see her in that uniform on the front of a calendar, just like her mother.
