  1. A lot of girls seem to keep it quiet but I did a little bit of research and found a posting on Gina's sisters IG celebrating Gina's 18th birthday, 10th Sept 2012. If my calculations are correct Gina was 27 yesterday.
  2. It's only a few years ago that TPTB tried to talk Jinelle into a sixth season and I can remember Judy saying that they were not ready to loose Lacey who was a 5 year veteran. If there is a cut off, which I doubt, it must be very recent. I think it is more a case of bodies giving out, life choices and maybe having already danced elsewhere. I think they will have to tackle Gina to get her out of that uniform and Lexie has married but still continues with DCC because she loves it. On a separate note, I love the circle kicks. Haven't seen that before. I wonder when it dates from
  3. Yes it does. I mentioned Sydney because she is from CMT:MTT era
  4. I think it is a big assumption to assume either Gina or Lexie will retire at the end of next season. They both are DCC to the core and love to dance. Unless their bodies tell them otherwise or life gets in the way I could see either going on to a sixth season and maybe even challenge Sydney D's title.
  5. As someone relatively new to the process of buying the season what is the best option? YouTube, Amazon etc. Which has the option to download for off line watching.
  6. I think it was all about timing. DCC as we know them today started in 1972. Cowboys had just won 2 superbowls. "Dallas" was top of the TV ratings. They were different, not your usual cheerleaders but dancers who could put on a show. A lot of other cheerleader groups have copied that style since but never quite captured it. "Often imitated, never equalled". The CMT show has made the brand much wider known and, credit where its due, there has been some excellent brand marketing.
  7. Yep, we get Haley, Kelli, Judy and thankfully one interesting DCC. The earlier podcasts with Courtney were much better with two and often three DCC. The only problem with "Boots in the bubble" was the absence of "fresh blood". I really hope the class of 2020 and the class of 2021 get a lot of podcast exposure.
  8. Yes anyone who says the camera never lies is lying. It's a contraption designed to catch the same image the eye sees and it does it to varying degree of success depending on the skill of the photographer, the quality of the lens and camera, the lighting etc.. That before we even get to photoshop! That's why I used the CMT image. It's video, recent and won't have been messed with.
  9. Has anyone else noticed that a number of the older filmed podcasts of "These boots" have been removed from both YouTube and Cowboys website. A pity as there were some classics there including Heather O with Kashara. I hope it is to make room for some new ones and if so I hope they include both this year's Rookies and last year's Rookies, now 2nd year vets. I think the podcasts are a great way to get to know the girls better and get more back story. Definitely missed them last season. The Kelli led podcasts and "Boots in the bubble" didn't do it for me.
  10. I'm puzzled. This is Gina from MTT teaser so cannot be more than six to eight weeks ago. She looks fine here. Certainly toned but not anorexic.
  11. Does anyone have any information or thoughts on how many episodes we are getting this season? The last time DCC were at HOF the season was extended to thirteen episodes including one almost entirely about Jerry Jones enshrinement. Has there been any schedule published. After last year's restricted fayre I would like to see more of both this year's Rookies and last year's vets. Plus some ATT dancing pre-game
  12. Thanks for clearing that up. I was puzzled how anyone would know the content of this year's MTT. Now I understand.
  13. Not sure I follow your thread here. There must have been online submissions like last year as there were no live auditions so we may see those in episode one. What I think you are seeing in the teaser is either solos/show group auditions like last year or they may have decided to evaluate solos separately from show group as part of training camp evaluation. Only time will tell. Two weeks and counting!
  14. Oooopps...........I have nothing against Rachel, I think she is sweet, sincere and good looking but I will confess to being Team Gina ( I think you could have worked that out by now). I have posted this photo because I think it proves that even someone as stunning as Rachel can be exposed by the camera shutter as can any of the girls. Whoever said "the camera never lies" LIED! It exposes transitional images that the human eye would probably never see or the brain process.
  15. Gina's costume for what I suspect was another "bomb" solo. Sorry it's a bit blurred ....that's Gina's fault. Maybe they are interviewing for Assistant Director.
  16. I think Mackenzie is way up there. Her solo last year was bomb (so was Claire's). I would rate her on a par with Gina as a soloist (and that's saying something).
  17. I want to go on record as a "go team Taylor". I admire this woman so much. Holding down a full time teaching job and still caring for DCC to the extent that she gives every spare moment to being a cheerleader. That takes dedication and resolve. She has been a solid member of the squad and is loved and respected by her peers.
  18. I've have been trying to fight Gina's corner on this but even that keeps the debate fired and I think it is time to put these concerns aside until the Season airs on CMT. Things will be clearer then and if there are concern within DCC, which I doubt, they will come to light.
  19. I am surprised to read that. My thoughts are that undernourished or anorexic people would not have the energy to sustain the level of performance we see from Gina particularly over a 4 hour game. I remember Bridget passing out in the kick line at rehearsal because she had missed a single meal and Kelli lecturing them all on making sure they ate before rehearsals and games. The pictures I see of Gina's ribs are always when she is animated and fully extended with arms above head and body elongated. They are often just as visible on the other girls in that pose as well. Yes, she is thin, lean and athletic but anorexic and undernourished no.
  20. Thinking back to Judy's comments about putting the powerful dancers on the outside of the triangle, (a comment supported by the choice of veterans in that position), it looks like she rates Rebecca, Kaydiana, Tyra and Kliene highly.
  21. I think we have to be careful not to judge or rank these ladies by whether they are on show group or not. Some have full time jobs which don't allow them the time to dedicate to show group and although they audition for it they elect to opt out of selection. A few are obvious like Taylor who is a full time teacher so cannot take the time off within school terms. Others are students and may feel the time commitment is too great. I don't know enough about some of the others to be able to decide if they want show group but can't get it or are good enough but don't want it.
