  1. If Sami were to forgive EJ based on a video of him turning her down even though he didn't any other time.....THAT would be lame TV viewing. She's this pissed off and all he has to do is show her a video that he actually said no....once.....and that's enough to forgive everything? Although I guess it wouldn't shock me. He could rape her twice and that didn't piss her off enough to leave him and destroy his life....but cheat on her? All bets are off. WTF?
  2. From the onslaught of someone running around town proclaiming his sister is a slut? It seems pretty black and white to me here. People think EJ and his charisma and charms are everything every woman wants. No woman can resist. Abby is young still and inexperienced, at least inexperienced when it comes to men like EJ. So it goes without saying for her family and friends, that it was HIM who initiated it. Not her. We know that isn't how it happened, but the rest of the town doesn't. And Abby sure as hell isn't going to correct anyone in that thinking since she's terrified of Sami's wrath. Are you all expecting her family members to just leave her twisting in the wind while Sami continually comes after her? Jennifer doesn't like EJ so it's not a stretch for her to point the finger at him. And JJ doesn't know enough about anyone so it makes sense that he would blindly follow his mother's lead and react with loyalty to his sister.
  3. Jennifer has always been a seflish mother....I wouldn't expect her to change now. And just because Sami can't figure out how to explain it doesn't give her a pass. She knows who and what EJ is...maybe she should've thought about having to explain his misdeeds to them before she had his kids. And not just his misdeeds....hers as well. She shot their father in the head for Christ's sake.... I don't get all this outrage over the fact that no one has looked at Abby and said she's done wrong. Does anyone do that to ANYONE on this show other than Lucas or Victor? There are very clearly people we are supposed to root for and people we're not supposed to root for. Has anyone told Jennifer she treated Jack shitty and is probably the reason he's dead? Has anyone told Maggie she's a nosy old bitch and should back off? Has anyone ever told Hope she's a moron for being a cop? Has anyone ever told Will he's spineless and whiny? So why would you expect JJ to look at his sister and tell her she's a big fat ho-bag? He's going to defend her. End of story.
  4. You took that literally and that's not how she meant it. Has Sami sat down and explained to her kids why their father isn't around all of the sudden? I mean, he's in jail and his name is in all the papers, I would assume these kids interact with other kids outside of their family. There's been no scene of her sitting down to explain to them what's gone on. I don't think anyone expects Sami to sit down and explain their father was sexing up another woman. But again, let's make sure we deflect from the fact that Sami has the emotional maturity of a 6 year old and probably wouldn't know how to explain that to her children anyway. For a woman who is constantly given a pass because of her shitty ass mother she's certainly no mother herself. You'd think she'd have learned her lesson. And yes, it IS all about Sami. As usual. Rather than focusing on dealing with the fallout of yet ANOTHER impending divorce for her children, she's too busy shouting from the roof tops about what Abby did to her. But again.....none of this story line has been shocking. All so predictable. Ali Sweeney should be happy she's leaving considering they just keep recycling her stories over and over.
  5. How does defending his sister make him stupid? To me, that seems pretty usual and something I would expect out of my brother. Sami absolutely has a right to her anger. But as usual she walks around like a bull in a China shop demolishing everything. That's the problem with Sami and why I, for one, cannot stand her as a character. She thinks that because Abby wronged her she has a right to end her life, which is bullshit. Sami has done MUCH worse and she's still alive....and she has a pretty decent life. This whole idea that no one should ever fuck with Sami is ridiculous. She's nothing to be scared of. In fact, she's fairly pathetic being that she's almost 40 with children and is getting her rocks off by destroying the life of someone who shouldn't be a blip on her screen. She had her moment to tell Abby off....move on now. All this constant poking of Abby is doing is making her look like a huge bully.
  6. If musicians count this could get out of hand. LOL I've met every member of NSync. All were nice except JC. Contrary to popular opinion, Justin Timberlake is a total sweetheart (if you aren't screaming in his face or tearing at him). He was funny, cute and gave us a ride back to our car at the mall. Every member of NKOTB. Joey McIntyre is a dickhead. Donnie Wahlberg is the nicest most accommodating celebrity ever. And to finish out the boy band tri-fecta, I have met the members of the Backstreet Boys a TON. All members are nice, sweet, gracious and take time to speak to you. There is a reason they are the most popular boy band ever. I've met all members of My Chemical Romance as well. They are also all very nice. Frank is very VERY talkative. The guys from the Eli Young Band are also very nice. My friend is one of Willie Nelson's family members. I've been around him a ton. He's also very nice.
  7. I've also run into Jared Leto while he was touring with his band. He got swarmed. He was pretty logical about all of it though. Asked everyone to get into groups and he'd make sure we all got pictures. Afterwards I heard a couple people commenting that he was kind of a dick...and yeah, I guess I could see how people took him that way. But I didn't. He was just trying to get people what they wanted in an efficient way. He was certainly nice to everyone. Plus he has a very dry sense of humor and is a total smartass. So I don't think it occurred to him that someone was going to be offended by his tone.
  8. Joe's face in that last scene certainly read to me like a man who knew he'd done wrong and regretted it. Looking at Gia's face had to be torture for him....but he deserves it. I didn't pay attention to anything else on this show. Dina bugs me...she's so co-dependent it's scary. If she's not all about her kid, then it's Teresa or whoever she's dating. For a woman who claims to be so strong willed she certainly can't handle the slightest bit of upheaval in her personal life.
  9. I was always taught as a kid that you never interrupt someone while they're eating. In my experience when you show them a little respect and decorum, celebrities are much more apt to stop and talk. Colin Farrell is also very very nice and shockingly good looking in person. He ran past my friend on his way to the bathroom, having expressed how bad he REALLY had to go after she'd asked him for a picture. She said ok and turned to walk away. Next thing you know he comes running back "Ya know what? I'm sorry. It can wait. Where's your camera?" I admit, he impressed me. I wasn't expecting that at all. It makes me laugh how many actors I now find more attractive after meeting them. Before that, he was barely a blip on my radar. Now that I know he's a nice guy, I pay attention.
  10. I could not agree more. My dad and I left the theater all disappointed. It really was a terrible story and so predictable and boring. I guess it had something to do with how it was shot....but for people who aren't camera angle buffs, it was just your basic movie about someone overcoming tragedy. Really was not that Oscar worthy at all.
  11. For those of you who love Robert Downey, Jr (I do as well) you'll also be happy to know he's the nicest celebrity I have ever met. (And I've met.....a few) We ran into him at Universal City Walk in LA at Planet Hollywood of all places. After a long day of sightseeing my friends and I all went out to dinner and he just happened to be at the table next to us with two boys I assumed were his sons (although I guess now knowing more about him only one was actually his son). He knew we knew who he was, mostly because when we sat down my friend loudly whispered "HOLY SHIT THAT'S ROBERT DOWNEY JR!" to the whole table. We patiently waited until he was done eating and had paid his check (Thankfully half of that part of the restaurant was also gone) and asked him for a picture. He was so gracious and kind. And a real chatterbox. He thanked us for not interrupting dinner and then told us to have a great day and we left. When we saw the picture later it made us all laugh....he has the happiest smile on his face. To this day whenever one of us sees him he's described as "Our friend RDJ." I have a huge thing for Jeremy Renner. He was so beautiful in The Town.
  12. Still hate that they focus so much on numbers but Dave was inspiring. His fight or flight workout was really intense to watch. I wonder if you employ Chris as your personal trainer on your own if he pays attention to numbers so much. I see a personal trainer, he has never once mentioned some magical number he wants me to get to. In fact, when I weigh myself he gets pissed because it almost always disappoints me despite the fact that he and others can physically SEE my body changing. He doesn't focus on my weight at all and more than once has rolled his eyes when I've mentioned that I'm gaining weight....his response is ALWAYS "Duh, you're adding muscle." This show should employ more of that type of reveal than the weight. LOOK at your body now versus 3 months ago. Do you see a change? Then we're headed in the right direction. You don't? Then let's revisit some things and change course. I guess that wouldn't make for very compelling TV though.
  13. I'm actually interested in the statistics on if it's mostly overweight women who catfish. Because in my mind, it's either that or old creepy men looking for young girls and the show certainly isn't going to show that. I think the show is trying to be as harmless as possible considering it's subject matter. And it's easy for people to understand why an overweight girl would get online and pretend to be someone else for love. I mean, it's really hard to watch the shows where it's just some guy screwing around like the one from this season and the clapping guy from last season. Those episodes are creepy and make me not want to watch anymore and I'm sure the producers have probably heard some of that type of feedback when those shows air. To be honest, when the show enters sinister/dangerous territory it stops being funny or snark worthy. The one girl who blurted out it was her catfishing her cousin after he called her a fat Kelly Price had them in a really seedy/dangerous part of the city before she finally offered up the goods. That's not entertainment, it's scary.
  14. I had to turn it off after I heard Kendra "Friends don't do this to their friends." I would've walked away from that bitch the second she tried to pull some shit like that on me. Her need to be the victim would've been enough to end a relationship with her. Regardless of Blake's reaction to her in the beginning there was enough there for me to sympathize with him and his choice never to speak to her again.
  15. I said this over at TWoP when I saw the movie and I'll say it here.... If I hear one more robot defending the practices of Sea World I may just lose my mind. I don't need a degree in squat to be able to SEE that your damn tanks are TOO SMALL.....ya buncha dicks. Don't try insulting my intelligence by telling me if I did that it would change that. I will never take my children there. I don't know how you can blame the trainer for what happened. But the head trainer for Sea World who knowingly lied should be thrown in jail. She's putting lives in danger so people can see a damn fish do a flip? Are you serious right now?
  16. It's hard to be good in a scene when you have AS scene chewing and Batman voice inducing her way through it. I find this storyline ridiculous. No one was particularly great in their scenes on Friday. It's what I've come to expect from this show though.
  17. This is a weird one. But I cried SO SO SO hard during Lincoln after they passed the amendment. I also cried during Gettysburg when Richard Jordan's character finds out his friend from the North was shot during the battle and says "No, not one of us....not all of us."
  18. I heard soon after the movie came out that the scene in The Dark Knight Rises when The Joker is walking away from the hospital and he pushes the button to blow it up, the pyro didn't go off as expected so Ledger's reaction to turn around and slap the remote was unscripted. It made me smile because his performance in that movie was so fantastic and it never occurred to me that wasn't actually how it was supposed to go. Which I guess is what causes an unscripted moment to end up in a movie to begin with. I just recently found out that the slow clapping in the police station when Gordon gets promoted was also unscripted. Which is one of the things that creeped me out the most in his performance. That and the tongue thing....gah! One that always made me laugh to hear about was when Rose drops her robe and stands naked in front of Jack in Titanic. Leo's reaction of stammering through "Over there on the bed....the couch...." always made me crack up. You'd have thought he'd never seen a naked woman before. ETA: Need the title fixed. Ooops....LOL
  19. I can't handle animal death scenes in movies. So Marley & Me destroyed me on every level. I have never cried so hard in my life. Abileen's affirmations to Mae Mobley in The Help "You is smart, you is important...."
  20. This show has made a job out of this. Personally I don't think Ollie has a leg to stand on with all the secrets he's keeping himself. If he was as pure as the driven snow then maybe I might feel bad that Abby didn't tell him she slept with EJ....but he hasn't told her what his big stupid secret is so why should she feel obligated to tell her she slept with a married man before she ever knew him? No one on this show goes through their sexual history, I see no reason why Abby should have to. My greatest hope is that this shit show destroys EJ and Sami so I don't ever have to fucking hear about them again.
  21. I'm actually kind of interested to see what Damon does in Season 6. Seems that he had accepted his role in destroying the Other Side if he somehow got caught over there. So will he be trying to get back? I kind of doubt it. I have no doubt Elena will be losing her collective shit over trying to get him back, but I don't know if we'll see him taking an active role into returning. In fact, he might be kind of pissed off if Elena or Stefan ends up finding a way to bring him back. He was trying to let Elena go the last couple episodes (doing a bad job of it, no doubt, but he was trying) so something tells me he'll have reserved himself to the idea that she'll move on at some point. I took his "I promise" to her as more of way to pacify her in the moment. He'd made his mind up at that point and nothing she said was going to stop him anyway. We know Ian is filming, some of his tweets suggest as much. So we'll see I guess.
  22. There is quite a bit in between that spectrum. All I can say about that wedding and the dress is that it was the tackiest most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed. The only good thing was Bell Biv Devoe showing up. Love them.
  23. I automatically judge any woman who throws a huge big baby bitch fit whenever a man asks for a paternity test. Why are you so against it? Why the big drama, especially if you know what the result will be? As far as the girls on this show are concerned, none of them are paragons of virtue so spare me the "HOW COULD YOU THINK I SLEEP AROUND!??!?!" act. Take the damn test and shutup. It's not just to protect him, it protects you too genius. You want some kid you don't like anyway going to the courts to gain custody so he can parent your kid? Both girls who wanted to cop an attitude about that made me immediately take the guy's side. I don't even care if both of the father's were deadbeats. You didn't put his name on the birth certificate and won't acknowledge him as the father because you won't allow him to see the kid.....BUT you're bitching about money you don't get even though you won't shutup long enough for him to give it to you. Arianna is a straight up bitch. No two ways about it. Her holier than thou bullshit was enough to make me want to punch her in the ovaries. Sit down sweetheart, you are hardly someone anyone should be scared of.
  24. During the show yesterday (or whenever Jennifer was on last, I don't remember when) Jennifer walked up to JJ and said "I spoke with your sister about Eve this morning and now I'm coming to you" or something along those lines. But yes....Abby's a complete bitch for having a conversation with her mother off camera.
  25. Good question. However I've seen her acting choices, facial expression choices and other things compared to her quite a few times. Whether it's Sami and Abby compared or AS and KM compared. So you'd have to ask those who started the comparing.
