  1. They are not related. But she was on the show for one year.
  2. At least she's dressed. Paul Simon is there. He can do his own song!
  3. Dick Ebersol conceived SNL with Lorne and was Executive Producer during Eddie's years. I believe he was a liaison between Lorne and the NBC brass.
  4. Melissa looks good with the lost weight. She looks like her Gilmore Girl days. Eddie is a quiet guy when he's not performing.
  5. 57th Annual Grammy Awards February 8th at 8:00 Eastern.
  6. But, but, but....how can that be?????
  7. Sigh. It's really just the most perfect movie musical. I love that Kathy Selden is supposed to be singing for Lena Lamont and it's really Jean Hagen singing for Debbie Reynolds. My mother and I have debated this off and on for years-When Gene Kelly is singing "Gotta Dance", does he mean he HAS a dance(as in a new dance to show off) or does he HAVE TO dance (meaning he has to dance because it's inside him). And Cyd Cyrisse-those legs!
  8. I finally found this on On Demand. It wasn't under the "G" tv shows. It was tucked away under PBS, then under Specials. But well worth the hunt! I love cozy mysteries, whether they are TV or book form.
  9. And this award means so much, because it comes from you, the People!!!!!!! I forgot about the great, shameless product placements in this show!
  10. I always like the audience shots to see who's there. I saw quite a few shots of Bill Irwin. I also noticed the closing monologue is exactly the same every year. Why doesn't Caroline Kennedy host anymore?
  11. In my world, Mozzie moved into Neal's apartment and is keeping June company.
  12. With all the Christmas movies available to Disney/ABC, you would think they would show more that the 5 or 6 they have been showing endlessly on the 25 Days of Christmas. Have I missed How the Grinch Stole Christmas? The animated one, not the JIm Carrey one. And Olive, the Other Reindeer?
  13. The driver has the ability to "disable" the power windows and lock them. This keeps the kids from opening and closing the windows endlessly. Perhaps he couldn't open them.
  14. Yes, they have understudies. They can't reschedule. There is usually publicity involved, scheduling of the space the play is performed, and everyone involved (parents, students, teachers, stage crew, ticket holders, etc.) can't put their lives on hold in case the play needs to be rescheduled because of illness of one cast member.
  15. I couldn't find a picture why, but Helen's dress reminded me of Wallis Simpson, The Duchess of Windsor for some reason. And I hate when they say, "Design a party dress". What kind of party? I know the interpretation of that gives the designers some freedom, but the judges always seem to "ding" them for not designing a dress the right way. They might say, "That's not sexy" (usually Heidi!) or "That's not very luxurious" when the designer had a different kind of party in mind.
  16. A political sex scandal erupts and Laura investigates the alleged mistress involved. However, problems with surveillance emerge, forcing detectives to enter the world of online gaming in order to zero in on a murderer. Of course it was Wallace Shawn, he was the most famous guest star. Inconceivable!!!
  17. Oh, TCM, why did you have to put Auntie Mame on a midnight last night? Why?? I can never not watch that movie! I have to be reminded to Live! Live! Live! every once in a while.
