  1. I've only been paying half the attention... Is it true that Svetlana turned Vee against Fiona? Lip? He's breaking my heart. Debbie? Really disliking her these days. But, she really should have just called the police. Social Services investigation or not... those folks kidnapped her baby. They have no legal leg to stand on... even if a paternity test had been done, which I don think happened. She could have pressed charges against them.
  2. Agreed! It takes a lot for me to criticize the writing of a show because I feel like the story doesn't always have to go the way I think it should. I pretty much go with the flow. But, come on! Fiona got a $80,000 loan in what seemed like one day; despite her low income and apparent lack of established credit. Isn't she legally responsible for at least 3 minors? Fiona never did an inspection on the property... or hell even a walk-through of the laundromat before buying. Maybe she would have smelled the gas herself if she had Fiona has no idea how much money the laundromat makes or loses in a month; how does she even know who to pay. Don't even get me started on Vee, Kev and Svet. It's like there's not script at all for them, just situations... that change from moment to moment based on what outrageous things the actors come up with off the top of their heads. It's like one big giant and elaborate Improv sketch where the writers gave the 3 actors the following instructions: "Okay, next scene big, mean looking Russian guy with a lot of tattoos shows up at the bar. He can't speak English. Go!" The only bright spot for me is little Frannie! That kids is a hellva actress. Laughed right on cue! :-)
  3. My goodness...0Debbie is so unpleasant. Is Lip falling in love? I hope so! Fiona, Fiona, Fiona. SMDH!
  4. I think you're correct.. IIRC it was that baseball conversation that sounded kind of like a negotiation...but, wasn't really specific. I believe Caleb says something like "Have you ever played catcher?" and Ian says something like "No, not really but we can talk about it".
  5. Yeah... his pissy-ness is justified. I guess I just hate the way they all seem to self-destruct... But, I guess we wouldn't have a show if they didn't. Heh
  6. I see your points... But, from my perspective Gus started out as such a nice guy... leveled-headed, even-tempered, decent. The kind of guy you might seriously think about marrying. Yes, Fiona didn't have to accept the proposal. But, she did. He had every expectation that she would hold up her end of the promise. She didn't... and then Gus was no longer the nice, level-headed, decent guy. He became a mean-spirited and petty child, singing FYF. Yes, Amanda cheated on her "boyfriend" with Lip, which the roommate didn't seem that broken up about. She had parent issues... but, at the beginning of that relationship she seemed like a stable force when it came to encouraging Lip to stay in school and helping Lip see the other possibilities in life. To me, she seemed to fit great with Lip and his crazy level of ethics. They seemed to really be on the same page. Then she turned into a clingy, crazy stalker. I agree Debbie's baby-daddy... may not totally fit the bill. She told him she had protection... then herself became the crazy stalker. I just thought at the beginning of their budding friendship and then romantic relationship, he seemed like the perfect guy... liking Debbie for herself. It was her first shot at a normal, age-appropriate relationship. So I was really disappointed it turned into the story that it did.
  7. Well to be fair... plenty of melanin-free characters have been sacrificed/assassinated in the quest to keep the Gallagher clan from ever being happy and well-adjusted. From the first guy Fiona married... to the young lady who helped Lip his first semester in college... to the cutie who knocked-up Debbie, they all started out great and amazing... only to eventually be portrayed as weak/crazy/unreliable/petty/boring. In this Shameless world, the Gallaghers will never be happy because the people they let into their lives and hearts are flawed. It's pretty cynical... and sad.
  8. My guess... Erin sassed them... and Jernard apologized. Umm... I don't know, I think the fix is in for the Italian dude. Maybe it will come down to him and Ana. But, Giada gets the biggest grin on her face whenever he's making a presentation. Seems he can do no wrong, even when he does (like forgetting the names of ingredients). I don't know why.. but I feel like when no one is around he speaks with the perfect English accent. LOL! Like when I was a kid I sometimes suspected the super-nice emcee for one of my favorite Game Shows might be a really very mean and nasty behind the scenes. Heh! :-)
  9. Favorite scene: Marty and boys discussing the possibility of Jennie getting killed. Hilarious! Love Don Cheadle's "Nah, she's gonna be ah-ite." Lol!
  10. If all the other designers put flats on their models, Isaac would just declare that he hates the idea and styling of all the other designers and proclaim that only Sam got it right! Lol!
  11. For me, he was the lesser of two evils. Sure, he was a little arrogant... but, if you can walk the talk I'm okay with it. IMHO, he earned that arrogance. He is a very talented and skilled chef. Girlfriend is a talented chef too... but, she just rubbed me the wrong way. I thought she was way off in her walk-of-shame, saying the judges had made a mistake and that she should have won. Really?? Sure, she may have won the dessert round (despite her raw dough). But, he smoked her and everybody else in the first 2 rounds. The judges were grasping for things to criticize him on. I'm glad he won!
  12. Let's not forget the additional "like" in like every one of her sentences. It was like so, so, so like annoying. I like can't even like stand even like writing about it. Like yuck! :-( UGH!!! I didn't recognize her... but I really wanted her to stick around longer. At least she spoke in complete, coherent sentences and didn't di that sideways glance at the camera while "up-speaking" and converting her sentences into questions. The eventual winner was so enamored and impressed with her self. It really got on my nerves.
  13. I think the actors who play Carl, Fiona and Lip look very much like they could be siblings IRL.
  14. As an AA woman, Caleb's race (or that he's not Mickey) has nothing to do with me panning his "relationship". It's mainly this from sazzat: They've had no time to develop chemistry... I keep asking "why"... other than them both being cuties... why are they so into each other? Makes no sense. I agree it's the plot-over-character thing. That's why the writers are making Gus such an asshole. If he weren't an asshole, Fiona would have no obstacle in the way of buying back the house. If she had no obstacle she would have no reason to break down in her boyfriend's arms in front of Carl. If she didn't breakdown in front of Carl, he wouldn't have dug up the money to buy the house back. JMO , but I think plot-over-character is the same reason poor Nick couldn't get his happy ending of living on a farm (although the guy was pretty messed up). His character was sacrificed to tie-up loose ends... to free up all the cash to buy the house and bring Carl back into the fold. I suspect the lives of all the Gallagher kids will implode some how over the next few weeks as a plot device to bring all the kids back to the house, which is like it's own character. Just a guess.
  15. Yep! That's what I was thinking. Judith was under Carl and Gabriel's bloody poncho. Why didn't they do the same with Sam. But, then if the writers had gone that route the family would have survived and we would have to be put up with their asses for the rest of the season... and who wanted that? Not me! Jessie was never going to make it after seeing her child die such a horrible death. How could she go on and have a 'happy ever after' with Rick. The tragedy would haunt them forever... and Ron was never going to be able to go on after seeing his whole family die before his eyes. So their demise made sense. Glad that Aaron and his man made out alive, along with Denise and the other AZ residents I didn't mind. And I don't care how many fake-outs and near-death experiences the show has to save Glenn! I'm okay with that. I won't be able to watch the show if anything happens to Glenn. So yay for Abraham and Sasha's magical bullets only finding Zombie heads. That's fine with me... as long as Glenn is okay.
  16. Yeah I had a hunch she would win as soon as the intro was done. I also predicted the nervous guy would be the first out. Poor guy... too bad he couldn't pull it together. I was surprised the two Asian cooks didn't go head-to-head in the dessert round. But, that knucklehead put that damn inedible nail on the plate as a homage to his mom. Dude?! Really?! I think your mom would have liked the $6 grand (after taxes) you would have brought home better! Heh! But, I digress... she was a shoe-in... just like the Italian restaurant owner on the Italian-themed challenges or the Pub Food restaurant owner on the Pub Food challenge... and all the contestants who just happen to work in one of the judges' restaurants. Lol! But, that's okay I still love the show. I'm just fast-forwarding a lot more these days.
  17. Agree and agree. That was some seriously passive aggressive vibes wifey was putting out when they got to the hall. I was thinking "free yourself dude. That craps only going to get worse". But then I thought she won't have to live in his shadow for long... He's probably one song away from leaving her for the first decent looking Celine Dion female impersonator that crosses his path anyway. But, the baby was super cute! That giggle.
  18. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. They could have even come forward the next day when the news of Scotty's death was reported. They could have just said "Hey, we thought we hit a deer and kept going... had no idea we hit a person. Oops, so sorry about that". Sure the cops would have given them the side-eye. But, if the booze was out of their system by then... they probably could have gotten away with it. But, like you said then there would be no show. Plus, no one was really thinking clearly that night. Helen and Noah both were high as a kite and Allison was totally freaking out that she had just literally thrown someone under a moving "bus"... and that person died. Allison and Helen both went into self-preservation mode. Allison immediately fled to the bushes... and Helen didn't even want to stop to check on what was hit... desperately trying to convince Noah it was just a deer. And I'm with the poster who says they don't believe Allison's version that Scotty was trying to molest her. I think he made one too many drunken, hyped-up threats and Allison just snapped and pushed his irritating ass into the road when she saw the car coming. In any case, Noah should just stopped his lawyer from calling the cop and said "Look I want to make a plea bargain... can we stop this? I just want to confess!" I didn't watch this show from the beginning... but I'm fully on board now and looking forward to Season 3.
  19. Yes, it's all relative. No one can really judge another person's threshold for pain. I think it's unfair to Mame to say "Just get over it. Others have had it worse". She only knows what she feels. Mame obviously has some deep unresolved issues with her parents.. that she seriously needs to work out with them. I think she'll be just fine in the modeling business, especially Runway work. Good luck to her on that front... and Congrats to Nyle! I also hope she can work it out with Justin... but, I have my doubts about that one. Hard to be with someone you can't trust... especially someone with who makes such bad decisions. Even if her "liaison" with Mikey minor 1st base flirtations. It was just so "yucky". You traded in a snuggle with a dog who's chased after every woman in the house, for the possibility of a long-lasting meaningful relationship with a loyal, good and fine as hell guy. Silly, silly girl!
  20. "After Eustace was born, my wife said she (Monique) had to go" LOL!! Oh Charlie!! I love his feud with "Girl Twin" and all he times he said she must be a witch. Also loved Charlie's hapless run when he went to tell the kids their scheme wasn't working. He did the same little arms-flailing-at-his-side run when he returned to the living room to fess up to Dominique. Ha-Ha. I watched it 3 times and found something new to laugh at every time. Funny, funny episode. Oh, I almost forgot Dre's airplane freakouts... especially after the pillow fell on him and he screamed for his "plane candy". LOL!
  21. I think that just goes to show you how much everyone must have really dis-liked Cat. I bet there's tons of footage of Cat's nonsense that didn't even make it on air. Also, I think the difference is the degree of bitchiness. Brittany could definitely get her bitch on... but IMO it was a more subtle, undercover, slight-of-hand kind of nasty. When confronted with that bitchiness, Brittany somewhat owned up to it and made an effort stifle it. OTOH Cat let her bitch flag fly high and free! She just insisted on calling it something else... i.e: "keeping it real", "just trying to be helpful", "a misunderstanding" "unintentional", "innately professional". Even when she was repeatedly warned to chill the hell out (including the admonishment from her very own parents), Cat never seemed to have any self-awareness. I think that's what bugged Jessica and Stefani the most; the lack of self-awareness and a continuation of the objectionable behavior. It could have also been Cat's blatant lie to her parents when she claimed that Jessica had man-handled with a death-grip. Did she think that would not get back to Jessica? Did she think the crew was blind and deaf and somehow didn't notice? Also thought her catastrophic evaluation of the situation after she lost: "I don't think they realize what they just did"! Ha! To steal from another poster: "very Charlie Sheen-ish"! So glad she didn't win. I was totally rooting for Alli. But, I get the impression Diane will be mentoring Alli in some capacity. I think HB got the win because Diane's people convinced her they could somehow capitalize on HB's blog... to appeal to the younger generation.
  22. Well, wasn't there a time that Travis was majorly hung-up on Daphne? She brushed him off pretty easily. Now she's telling Bay to go for it. (sigh) Travis really needs to expand his love-seeking radius. There is a whole world of women out there other than the ones he sees everyday. Heh!
  23. Heh! I immediately thought of the Fresh Prince! Before the 10 month time jump was revealed I was screaming at the TV - "No Bay! Don't under any circumstance go to China with Daphne. She will "Brokedown Palace" your ass and you will spend the rest of your life in a Chinese jail for something Daphne did! Stay home" I was so relieved to see her somewhat thriving at the tattoo shop. Heh! I'm always going to cheer for EBay! Hopefully they'll be together in the end when they both of them grow-up and mature. Not on board with the Travis thing either... mainly because of MaryBeth. Beyond letting an Ex go so they can be happy, I don't think I would be okay with them being with someone I was close to. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to see your ex in a romantic relationship with your sibling or best friend. I agree with Emmett. Surely there is someone else out there you can choose other than your friend's/brother's/sister's ex. I have no words for Regina... none! I want to feel sympathy for her. But, she's just awful. I expected the parents to run-off with all Regina's money. Would have served her right. She's got really bad taste in men. Wow, the way the police came in with the guns drawn was all kinds of scary. I know they were told he had a weapon. But, damn that would scared the little boy to death. But, on the other hand he's living a pretty traumatizing life right now any way. Being kidnapped back and forth between his dysfunctional parents... Poor kid is probably going to really need therapy when he grows up.
  24. I would be a bigger supporter of HB... but that damn "up-speak" that she does at the end of her words and sentences, drives me out of the ever-loving mind. It's whiny and sing-songy. Poor Alli... I was egging her on... pleading with her to lose the "deer-in-headlight" look and say something. She's got to get over that, no matter what she ends up doing in life. Get a grip and fake your way through it. Yeah, even Cat's parents weren't buying her BS! Heh! They were all like "yeah, but you know.. you don't really listen well, so, umm". And Cat's a bit of an embellish-er (to put it lightly). But, Jessica did not grab her by the arm and lead her away. She does know this stuff is being recorded, right?? In any case, anybody but her for the win!! Which of course, means she's totally winning this thing. Lol!
  25. Yeah, never got Ofelia's little hissy fit with the neighbors and soldiers at the gate. It sucked that the army wouldn't let her dad go.. but her mom really needed medical treatment. It wasn't like the army picked her mom randomly.. and it's not like others in the neighborhood (besides) Nick weren't also taken away that night. She really needed to chill out on the whole they didn't help us when my mom was taken away. Despite my gripe with her, I really like the show. It was a slow build. But that's okay with me. I like that this group already knows what it took 2 seasons for Rick'S group to learn, that everyone comes back.. no matter how they die. I like Nick's explanation about the chaos of the ZA being his reality all along... and now everyone else is catching up. That made me say "wow". What a great way to explain addiction. The show doesn't seem popular here.. but I for one am looking forward to season 2!
