If there is any money to lose, which I highly doubt. The Browns seem to be the perfect example of people who appear rich from the outside with their houses, land and cars. But in truth, none is theirs. All is 'bought' with loans, lease contracts or simply rented. The sleuths over here have done a great job with uncovering stuff on mortgages, sold houses, personal bankruptcies and deeds. Not to mention the fortune they have spent over the years on outrageous rents.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
LilyD replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I highly doubt that trailer is ever going to rock..... -
As if a "new assistant director" would be driving us all insane for more information.... Dr M must have mixed up his carrots or his short presence on this board hasn't taught him anything about what gets us into overdrive! Our lacklustre response to his director carrot must have been terribly disappointing...

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
LilyD replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Quite sad isn't it? And also incredibly mean and unfair to the wives as this will definitely encourage more rivalry and bad feelings.--> He always comes to me because he can't stand...(fill in whatever comes to mind) -
Thanks for your input, I hear you and appreciate where you come from. I don’t think we’ll ever reach an agreement on this, which is ok by me. But part of our different views may also due to background, region and I’m assuming we’re also on opposite sites of the globe (am not from the US) One paramedic friend and one ER friend of mine both said that (over here)the most horrible injuries with kids are traffic-related or, believe it or not, the ‘kids-proof’ garden trampoline (Spinal injuries) or bad falls whether from trees, horses or whatever. As for amputations with lawn mowers: I totally believe you as mankind is capable of immense stupidities, particularly when ignoring safety instructions, lack of common sense and lack of supervision. Sticking a hand into a running machine for example is a notorious example, yet people-still-do-it….

OK....you guys are probably going to hate me for this... I haven't seen the infamous lawn mower video so I'm not 100% what it exactly was which upset so many people. And yes we are talking about the Browns, not about common sense people, and we are not talking about experienced farmers, which I get. But I would like to say the following: There is a fairly large group of kids, including me, that grew up or still live on farms or houses with a lot of land. As of a young age we were taught about the dangers of machines and the risks involved. A lot of those kids drive all kinds of machines as of a young age, quite often beginning on stuff like small lawn mowers, which actually starts with driving with dad on his lap. Just to give y'all some food for thought: in various parts of society, this is common practice. And yes, accidents do happen. ( I know of a bad one close to me) but a lot of bad accidents (if not more!) involving kids happen in (dense) neighbourhoods with cars, bikes, scooters etc. as well. So...before you shoot me: I haven't seen said video, not defending them here, just pointing out that it's nothing special or regarded particularly dangerous by quite a few people. If done with care and/or proper instruction.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
LilyD replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
I'm sure camping in summer is nice but I can't help but wonder whether Kody will visit Janelle when the weather turns cold and wet...He'll probably stay nice and warm in the mcMansion. A thought re. Janelle's weight struggle: I can't help but wonder why she doesn't turn to the one family member who is actually doing a really good job with this? Unless, of course, Christine has given up on Janelle or maybe because they are not close anymore? -
I liked her a lot as a person on the show but I absolutely refuse to believe she did not have any botox or cosmetic surgery. That face screamed ‘plastic’. Her features seemed frozen and at some points even unnatural. So I can totally see where Kelli was coming from. Unpopular opinion (probably): As looks are such an important aspect of a DCC, I think Kelli has every right to ask certain questions or criticize somebody who wants to be one. Yet I do question her habit of doing do on tv . Those conversations should be held in private, not out in the open for everyone to see.

I like Mykelti a lot better than Maddie but she started off that whole wedding thing on the wrong foot. Not only were there some worries about the speed with which things progressed but she did steal the limelight from Maddie who was about to get married. And then both she and Tony thought it was perfectly fine to marry right after Caleb and Maddie. It took a lot to at least postpone it until December. I would have been pretty pissed if my sister had tried that! And as for a lack of enthusiasm…. I can see how Tony’s first impressions weren’t that good; he would definitely not make my short list for potential sons in laws! But, he and Mykelti seem like a good fit and make each other happy. And that’s what matters I guess.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
LilyD replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
My parents divorced a year before I moved out. My childhood home was sold and each got a new house. While I do visit my parents, it has never felt like going home. I have no history in either of those places and no emotional attachment. My parents just happen to live there. I figure it’s probably the same for the older Brown kids. They have no history in Flagstaff and barely know the place. They go there (occasionally) because the family moved there. They probably couldn’t care less for the place. -
Exactly this! Those great dances are completely ruined by the bad choice in music, even a blind bat can see it’s no match.
-
Yes, but those tights aren’t doing her any favors either. Tights need to compliment the garment (which they do) but they are also supposed to compliment your skin tone when you are wearing something that exposes a lot of skin. If you get this wrong, body parts are going to stand out and not in a good way. (Madeline’s eerily white stomach) They probably see it as part of the uniform but you just can’t have one color in tights, you need more shades.
-
On a personal level, I agree with you since I don’t care about football at all. But, we shouldn’t forget that the DCC are only a support act to the Dallas Cowboys. They’re there for entertainment; part of a show that revolves around football and not around dance. I may not like the football interruptions, but I do get it.

I’ve only just realized Kleine is her first name and not her last name. That’s…..odd…… It means ‘little one’ or simply ‘small’ in other contexts in Dutch. (Kleine auto—>small car, hey kleine—> hey little one) I can’t wrap my head around calling a grown woman little one…sorry, I just can’t…
-
They probably figured it was time for 'something new' after doing this signature dance for X (how many exactly??) numbers of years. Why bother choreographing a whole new dance if you can 'revamp' it this way? I

See… that’s my whole issue with this specific group… it’s nothing personal, but I know so little about them and have seen even less. There were only a few appearances (apart from MTT) and in those, they were usually masked which made it even more difficult to recognise them. I have no clue whether they are good but if people out here say they are, I’ll happily take your word for that.
-
I don’t think people meant to say she is ugly, because she isn’t! It’s just her overall very skinny appearance that is worrying. That, and her occasional funny faces when she is dancing. The pictures shown by you all, show her true beauty.
-
Regarding Holly P and point… do we think she’d have stood a chance to become point if she’d stayed on? Dance wise I’d say Hell Yeah! But as for her looks… I don’t know. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder of course, and she certainly looked pretty, but for some reason her looks never screamed poster girl to me. But then again, neither did Amy or Maddie and both made it to point.🤔

I found this an interesting discussion to follow. I'm from Europe and where I'm from, some 18-year olds leave home because they're going to college yet most just stay with their parents and leave between their 20th and 25th. But a rising number stay until much longer. Must be shocking to quite a few Americans to read this! I would like to emphasise that while this is partially due to what we consider normal here (not really to stay after 25 though) we suffer from a gigantic housing crisis too. Social housing (rent) have waiting lists that are now approaching 10 years, private renting is hardly affordable and the average house price is quickly approaching $500000. Even a simple fixer upper may go for 300K. I know quite a few youngsters who desperately want to flee the nest but simply can't because they lack the means...

They'll probably listen to their advice if it confirms what they're thinking or matches their plans.😉 But I guess that's fair in a way. You generally ask for advice to confirm your thoughts or when you are unsure/don't know what to do. And that doesn't automatically mean taking the advice. You listen to it and then decide whether it's useful to you or not. That decision is yours only.

Have you looked at the judges? There’s everything from news anchors, weather men, reporters, fitness trainers, country singers, Luchesse managers etc. I struggle to get how they determine a girl might be a good DCC, but here they are. So it’s quite obvious connections go over (any) dance knowledge or experience.

Woops, sorry, I read the original post as last called to solos. They often combine the field entrance exercise with a cut night. That definitely adds to the already existing pressure to always be on your A-game. Some thrive with that pressure, most struggle or even succumb to it. I can totally see how some girls completely mess up because of that pressure.

A few people have mentioned out here that the first and the last spot in finals are the ones that go to the best vets; that would make them honorable and coveted positions. It was also mentioned that Kashara really stepped up and earned a lot of respect when Jenna, Erica and Holly messed up. So, I highly doubt aTPTB would give her such a humiliating treatment, but a stern talk and big warning about weight? Definitely! And Kashara was smart enough to take that seriously.
