  1. No, it was the first episode, with the little blonde girl hanging around Cassie's house.
  2. IMO that was the start of Jay's personality change/downfall - it was soon after Erin left and has basically continued ever since. I don't know if this intentional on the part of the writers, or simply due to crappy writing. But IMO there are two very distinct versions of Jay, pre- and post-Erin. I don't think we've ever seen Jay 2.0 smile once.
  3. Hey, crazy thought...but have we seen Will, Cassie's co-bartender, interact with anyone except her? I know we haven't seen much of him to date, but still...aside from Cassie, the only person who acknowledged him was Abigail, the dead girl. But thanks to being a ghost, we know Abigail knows things about Cassie (such as knowing she was on the phone with Tom, and prompting her to ask him to "bring the new guy"). We naturally assumed Abigail had seen an actual person when Cassie accused her of spying. But what if Abigail simply "spied" on Cassie's thoughts/memories? After all, after seeing her making out with Will, we next saw her in bed alone. Again, I think most of us simply assumed he had left. But what if he was never there in the first place? I don't know what made me think this, and like I said, I know it's nutty. But for some reason I keep feeling like it wouldn't be impossible for this show.
  4. IDK if she drank herself to death - I was thinking maybe she committed suicide. That would certainly explain why Brian was so concerned with Tom putting too much pressure on Cassie. Also, we know Brian is a doctor, thanks to Cassie's mention of his seeing patients, but we don't know what kind. Maybe he's a psychiatrist and that's how they knew her mom. Finally, there has been no mention of a bio dad for Cassie, leading to conclude that maybe through all that drinking and avoidance, mom had casual relationships which led to a pregnancy. They have kinda hinted at that with Cassie herself, as she very often has a drink nearby and also slept with a coworker that she doesn't appear to have a relationship with. Of course, we really haven't seen enough to know any of this, so it's just my speculation based on what we have been shown thus far.
  5. I've been catching a few reruns on tv in the evenings sometimes...and this time around, I'm struck by how clean everything seems! Considering it's a dusty/muddy frontier town, you really don't see much fallout from that.
  6. Another thing that didn't quite make sense to me...Avery could supposedly communicate with Dead Ethan because she was so close to death. But then by the end of the episode she was pronounced in remission?
  7. I figured Cassie couldn't pick up anything from Damien's girlfriend simply because it would be too neat and easy. It seems they want to stretch that subplot out a bit. Re: Creepy Killer - A former neighbor of mine actually bears a striking resemblance to the guy (we actually used to make jokes about his hiding bodies in his basement and things like that). So it's freaking me out way more than others probably are.
  8. Did anyone else wonder if the boyfriend also PAID for the mom whenever she accompanied them on dates? Like if they're going to the movies, does Sunhe hand over some cash or just wait for the guy to buy 3 tickets?
  9. I went through the entire series a few years back...and like with many shows, I felt the early seasons were best. Once Cousin Rose moved in, forget it.
  10. Yeah, I love Kelli Williams, but she was kind of awful, personality-wise, on this show, especially in later seasons.
  11. Had Will not been the star of his own show but only a guest star on PD, he totally would've been. To date, PD has killed off Voight's son, Olinsky's daughter (not to mention Olinsky himself), Platt's father, Nadia, Jin (that computer guy from Season 1)...
  12. Jack Riley showed up as the same character on Newhart (it was said he had been treated by "some quack in Chicago") as well as St. Elsewhere.
  13. Totally agreed...remember the whole insane storyline of how they were basically going to convict Will Halstead of all the murders on no more evidence than his being a similar height to Yates, having medical knowledge and having been acquainted professionally with a few of the victims? Thank goodness he had Jay around to keep it from happening! /sarcasm
  14. I replied to something Harriet Dyer tweeted, asking her if Cassie was actually adopted or had just lived with Tom and Brian. She responded:
  15. Maybe so, but IMO it still seemed like too little, considering Marshall was initially built up to be this monster.
  16. Looking back, I realize they never really explained the full nature of the rift between Conrad and Marshall. I mean, sure, they didn't get along, dad was always busy working, etc. But Conrad literally vanished without a trace, causing Marshall to spend years searching with a private detective! You don't just do that sort of thing lightly, not unless there's a REALLY good reason. And given how they hinted at Marshall having been involved in Conrad's mother's death...well, I expected a bit more storywise.
  17. I live across the street from a storage facility...it's entirely because of crime dramas that I imagine horrible things inside every time I pass. This show isn't helping. No, I meant the other clues, like Peter Rabbit or that they'd find a woman with her eyes gouged out, stuff like that. It's pretty specific.
  18. I don't really spend a lot of time at bars...but even I have to raise an eyebrow at how often Cassie drinks at work. Is that actually allowed anywhere? It's not like she met friends at the end of her shift, but rather seems to be randomly drinking while she's working. Also, are we supposed to think Cassie and the male bartender have a regular casual sex relationship, or that was just a one-time thing? I couldn't quite tell if I missed something there, or it just wasn't specified yet. As for the tips that Tom regularly receives from Cassie - Asante knows, and presumably Tom's old partner did as well. But I would imagine the PD in general doesn't know, so how exactly does Tom explain the various random things he finds out to others? Like how he just knows to start searching storage units or whatever?
  19. My story suggestion - instead of Bernie moving in with his two women, let's have Natalie move in with Will and Phillip! Someone is likely to murder someone, and this asinine plotline will finally be over.
  20. The relationship between Cassie and Tom - and the fact that it's police cases - distinctly reminded me of Voight and Lindsay on Chicago PD.
  21. Plus, they literally just had a storyline about a homeless guy who kept coming in with all kinds of made-up ailments, simply because he wanted a break from the elements. Did Max not stop to think that with his cards, he's opening the doors to thousands more such people? I would imagine the board of directors would have put a stop to that. But, mysteriously, the board exists as a means of stopping Max whenever the show wants to create conflict; if it's something they want to run with, then it's like the board doesn't even exist.
  22. And let's not forget Will in Season 1 - he had legal repercussions and nearly lost his job for disregarding a patient's wishes. But Natalie does it all the time and gets the proverbial slap on the wrist.
  23. Anyone else find themselves involuntarily calculating how much money was just lost on that lawn? From an ice cream truck, and in a ritzy community?? That was probably a $20 puddle by the road...
  24. Am I crazy, or did they indeed have Austin with a different backstory not long ago?? I could swear he initially told Mina his birth parents were junkies who neglected him, so that when his adoptive parents took him at age five, they literally saved his life. And now they were med students?? Please tell me I'm not hallucinating...
