I really want to vomit when I listen to Garrick talk about God blessing the sperm, etc. I think we can all agree that Garrick is a wack job. But how on earth could this woman, “Bert”, allow herself to be in this house with this family while she bonks the “man” of this family with the intention of getting pregnant. Whose idea is all this crap? I thought he would go to Mexico by himself for the “sacred event.”

@Nancybeth, I live relatively close to the Merrifields town of Buena Vista. I have lived here in the mts for 35 yrs and I don’t think I have much of an accent. However, those of my neighbors who have been here for generations all have accents like the Merrifields. Every time I watch this darn show, I’m tempted to drive over there and try to do an intervention with poor Danielle but I’m sure there are other equally strange situations tucked away around here and I don’t go…

@kid, while I agree with most of what you said about Mike, I also never trusted Natalie. This is marriage #3 for her and you’re right, she’s no spring chicken. She frequently cried about wanting to have a kid but in all this time she’s never had any (all the Ukrainian and Russian women we meet in TV refuse to use birth control). I’d be going to an American fertility clinic to see what we would need to do to make it happen ASAP. Instead, it appears she left him and is traveling around the country, getting procedures done and capitalizing on her fame. Has she even been back to see her mother and friends who she wailed about missing during the quarantine? I think she is as deceitful as he is - and we knew it from the beginning.

Great posts on this episode and I agree with almost all. I find Garrick to be disgusting and I think Roberta is totally complicit and equally deserving of our disgust. I find Jerrod and Vanessa to be disgusting as well. These 2 couples have their own narrative and they refuse to deviate, regardless of what anybody tells them, including each other. Sidian has his own religion, so I consider him a con man. I know the Winders have a lot of support, a lot of which comes simply because they seem so much better than the other couples at the moment. Right now I am disgruntled because NOW, after what seemed like a decent period of online courting, they have the talk about religion and NOW Kimberly gets all teary eyed about the thought of changing religions? Shouldn’t that be one of the very first obstacles to conquer in the courting? Now I call BS.

@PrincessPurrsALot, so if they added a new wife and all three went on this “mission”, pun intended, they would have 15 kids in less than 10 yrs! Whew!

So I can understand Michael considering Angela’s obesity to be a sign of affluence, success and luxury. That must be why he has packed on the pounds as well. He lives in a place where poverty is rampant. And did he say he comes from a “family” of 16 kids? Wow, so much to say about that! His relationship with Angela is based on material things - which may not always be as they are now. His life is soooo different than hers in every way. Remember when she forced him to cook dinner and said that he would be doing the cooking in the US and he said he was doing it as a special occasion? Even if she was nice to him, I just don’t see it working long term. @Gobi, I can imagine Angela saying that the contents of the soup was soft so that’s good enough. They should have told her clear liquids. I have never heard that it’s OK to smoke on the day of your surgery. Although I do have an acquaintance that I know for a fact smoked and drank up until her surgery and lucky for her, she came out fine.

I would love for one of the recruit wives to post a copy of the “NDA”. I can’t believe that it’s airtight.

I watched part of the interview with Ari. Wow. I wish I didn’t know these things.I still say that I worry for the children who are dragged through this mess.

Regarding the choking, etc, I feel like just because you say something in a text doesn’t mean you have to feel that way for the rest of your life and you don’t need to have another text to change your opinion. Why couldn’t they just say, hey, it turns out I don’t like that so let’s stop it, and that be ok? Do none of them discuss these things? I wonder why all these women tried to restrain the Snowden’s from contact. Why not just leave and move on? Did the Snowden’s berate them all every day by phone, email and text? Then block them. And where is that evidence? Are all the victims seeking revenge? Seeking monetary damages? Trying to warn others? We live in a time where all kinds of things are considered acceptable to some and the rest are supposed to accept it. I think this situation bothers a lot of us - because we have either been exposed to disturbing situations ourselves or know of others who have. I suspect TLC is deceitful and some of these things might be sensationalized for TV and that also bothers me. in any case, it should be ok to change your mind and you shouldn’t need hard evidence to prove it.

The fundamentalist Mormon family Should all go to a fertility clinic. They are all relatively young and seemingly healthy individuals and both of the two young women had a tough time getting pregnant by their male partner. I would definitely be looking at him and his sperm under a microscope and wondering whether adding another woman to the calendar would make all their chances of conception worse than ever. At this point, they’re all way behind in their quest for the best spot in heaven that comes only with birthing babies. Do you want 3 unhappy women clamoring for insemination on a daily basis?

@winsomeone, I am still wondering what is the benefit of having disc+. So far, at least with the 90 day franchise, I can see everything I want on TLC. I don’t want “bares all” or the “journeys”.

@Frozendiva, do you think Natalie’s new ring was to replace her engagement ring? Does that mean Mike got the family heirloom back? Was it just a wedding band? I didn’t get a good look at it.

I thought it was a preview for the “real” preview. So, that was IT? Why do I not care except to gripe about it? TLC made me feel this way. I’m jaded.

I can never tell when these shows are filmed and I don’t trust the sequence either. But when Natalie said that Mike needs to wear the $3 ring that she bought him to prove his love for her - and he made a comment about work and that it wasn’t safe to wear while working - the arguments could have gone nasty quickly and normally would have with Nutalie. They can really turn on the cutesy mannerisms when they want to. I don’t believe it for a minute. ps, was Natalie wearing her engagement ring or is she still claiming that she’s worried someone will rip it off her finger. edit: so apparently that was the actual tell all part 2? What a rip off. Truly a tell nothing. It was just a place for the couples to sit and gloat about their new contracts or to wish they had gotten follow on work. They should all have been given signs that they could hold up which say “ stay tuned to the next season of 90 Day blah, blah, blah”.

Spoiler!?! so I watched the 20 min preview (edit: I guess that was part 2 of the tell all, twf, I really feel used). and there were Mike and Natalie acting like a married couple. Air kisses, sweet words, knowing glances. Gag. This makes me so mad. They were so polar at the Tell All and now they are all good? It’s all a crock of poo, if you ask me. Ok, even if they did kiss and make up, wow, when they are in a tiff, it’s plain scary. Can you imagine being friends with either of them? Can you imagine being their kid and being in the middle of this? Or the poor kitty? Not me!

Mike and Natalie definitely didn’t look like a couple in the last minutes of the finale. She walked right past him like he wasn’t even there. Why didn’t shawn ask, “ so, are you still living together? Still share a bed? Still not saying “I love you”?

@CrazyInAlabama, regarding what was fair to either Mike or Natalie, I’m sure he is happy that he got that initial debt paid off and got additional income and she got to the US. If she missed her mom and friends as much as she said she did, I think she would be back in Ukraine now. I think they both got what they wanted. How old is she by now? Enough time has gone by she is def past the “35” that we were told last year. I’m still not sure if they mean the age when they were filming, which is basically the year before, so 3 yrs ago now, or this moment in real time. She could be 38, going on 39. If I was her, I’d be harvesting my eggs ASAP.

@brilliantbreakfast, I think Tarik filed for bankruptcy, for a second time.

I would love to see one of these “new wife” candidates show up with their own kids in tow, by surprise. Then I want her to hand the youngest, because there has to be more than one, directly over into Ashley’s arms and the camera crew can get a closeup of the steam pouring out of her ears in fury.

I may have said this before. I am haunted by personal experience with people in polygamy. The women I have known went into this scenario because they felt like the other women could help them survive, flourish together and most importantly get the best spot in heaven. Also, the women only took their youngest children with them. The older kids stayed behind. These people on this show, I just don’t see in the same way and so I don’t have compassion for them. The children should not be on this show.

Lots of good insight here today and I agree with lots of it! So much more fulfilling than the show itself! Mike&Nat- thank God that Mother Mike was interviewed. Otherwise we would just be listening to Natalie slur her words and Mike babble about being in his head, moving his eyebrows and shrugging. WTF does that mean here? Lots of people have said that mother Mike and her opinions don’t matter. But I think they do matter. For one thing, Shawn asked her and for another thing, she’s his mom. If she doesn’t speak up, who will? I don’t think he’s smart. I think Natalie hit the nail on the head when she said he was stupid, which she didn’t actually say. But the more I hear him speak, the more I find him annoying. Jovi&Yara- Something tells me that Jovi’s days and nights spent at the strip club are not over although maybe he won’t go upstairs for a lap dance, at least not with that same girl. Good for Yara that she is so confident in her looks, I guess. I wonder how she will feel in 20 years when no matter what you do, you just don’t look that great. I hope she finds fulfillment some other way. She almost fell out of that top when they jumped up to go on break. I still like Mother Jovi a lot. Zied&Rebecca- Rebecca has her hands full with the entire female world versus Zied. It’s not necessarily that anybody wants to steal Zied away from her, it’s just that they speak to him. “Would you like that as a Happy Meal, young man?” Kaboom! I hope that the pair of them to more than procedures to improve themselves. Otherwise, as WE all know, it won’t last. Yikes, 20 yrs is a lot of years different. When he is 50, she will be 70! Andrew- what a waste. He got up to leave so I say, do NOT pay him for the Tell All. I don’t think I want to see Amira and her whiny ass voice. not interested in Tariq&Hazel either. So I may FF thru them next week. PS, I swore that I would not sign up for discovery+. But then I saw a new show called “pig royalty” is on there. I actually have some very good friends whose sons showed pigs all through high school and their youngest son who is 16 now literally flies all over the country showing pigs for other people. They make a ton of money at it. And they all know who the competition is. So, I signed up for discovery+ and now, I have access to all the additional shows. I broke my promise to myself. But now I swear that after six months I am canceling so that I don’t pay for it. Anyway what should I watch? I’m kind of dreading having to sift through it all so if you can help me that would be wonderful.

Thanks to @Scarlett45 for the info regarding immigration. This just makes me dislike Natalie even more because she really milked the sympathy cow when she choked up during her FaceTime call to her mom, as she was saying her goodbyes back home to family and friends and saying that if it didn’t work out, she could always come back home. It was probably sincere in some ways but literally come hell or high water - or a new TLC contract - she was determined to do anything to stay in the US. And Mike knew it and used the scenario for his own benefit as well. Blah.

I must say that Andrew doesn’t look quite as much like a tubby schlub as I thought he would. That said, somebody push him down and take a razor to his hair. All of it.
