And Mandy's mom ... is there anyone in the town of Medford, the great state of Texas, or the planet Earth with a more convincing resting ya-there's-a stick-up my-ass-so-what's-it-to-you face?

Wayne and Darlene's break-up reminded me of Debra's parents' divorce on Everybody Loves Raymond. Two "perfect couples" split while the definitions of dysfunction, Frank and Marie Barone and Mary and George Cooper, soldier on. Yes! That was fantastic. We're seeing Georgie transform into the man who held his family together. (Makes me disgusted with BBT Mary who described him and his sister as being "dumb as soup.") But I am concerned about him. He's putting it all out there for Mandy and the baby ... and I'm not sure I trust her. Really want to be wrong, but I'm afraid she may wind up smashing his heart. (Which might be a factor in his other failed relationships.)

Will any of this season's movies better than this one?

Pains me to say this 'cuz he's certainly no prize, but Connie's lack of ethics gives me no choice ... You can do better, Dale.

If sound decision making was part of Mandy's make-up, she would not have found herself pregnant by a 17 year-old knucklehead (earnest though he may be.) As a non-Math brained person, the whole zero kerfuffle reinforced my belief that Math is something you do avoid situations with your bank or the IRS. It doesn't have to make sense; just follow whatever mandated steps get you the correct answer. Like the teacher said in 6th grade: "Ours is not to reason why. Just invert and multiply." This attitude might give Sheldon a migraine. This pleases me.

An absolutely delightful episode. All kinds of feel good energy. Pretty much smiled through the whole thing. The Lively App commercial got me wondering if perhaps the Geezer Bus was one of its services.

Georgie was reading. A book. Isn't that a sign of the apocalypse?

Sheepishly have to admit ... enjoyed the exchanges between Connie and Dale. Connie can be pretty snarky and it was kinda fun to see the snark turned in her direction. And really felt for Georgie, a kid trying to do the right thing, in totally ham handed ways.

That certainly could have been the series finale, with Elizabeth and Lucas walking into the sunset together and all. The Coulters expecting. Rosemary pregnant has some serious comedy potential. And Nathan. The guy grew a delightfully snarky sense of humor this season. If nothing else, he could be great fun keeping the Bouchards in check when either Lucas, or more likely and more often, Elizabeth, got too full of themselves. Wonder if the chance of GAC Family picking up the show if Hallmark cancels it will factor in Hallmark's decision regarding WCTH.

The water cooler's gonna be up against some very stiff competition from General Hospital's Bowl of Moss - unless Moss, working in Daytime, won't make the cut.

Maybe someone who looks, acts, and sounds very much like Reba could befriend an equally fiesty lady bearing a remarkable resemblance to a Designing Woman. The two would have a Coach-able ex-husband, ex-boyfriend in common. They could spend many delightful hours together snarking about the Designing Woman's son-in-law, who reportedly has a wandering eye - that may be wandering in the direction of a neighbor lady the spitting image of Barbara Jean.

IF Hallmark would pull the plug on When Calls the Heart, have to wonder if the GAC folks would try to pick it up.

Interesting ... Had Hallmark on getting ready this morning and saw in the corner of the screen: One Day Until SERIES Finale of When Calls the Heart. A simple mistake, or has some schmuck spilled the beans?

Mr. Pus dressed in a yellow suit absolutely cracked me up. Obviously, my humor bar is not set high. Spending several decades around nine year olds will do that. Being an old fart, found the entire exchange between Hagermeyer and Linkletter both fun and relatable. Iain Armitage deserves an Emmy for that dream sequence. (Best Performance By A Sleeping Character. If it's not a category, somebody needs to make it one.) George wasn't especially likable in this episode, but he was very human. Hopefully, the wallowing phase won't last long. Know it's Texas and all, but still surprised that his only job at that school was football coach. Mary showed gumption looking for a job. Good for her.

So ... Henry blows up the mine, causing Bad Guy and Bad Guy Protege to leave town. Bad Guy Protege offers Lee a job. Any response from Lee before BGP drives away? Florence yells at Lucas for his part in the mine shenanigans, but gives Fiona, whose suspect negotiating skills created a good portion of the mess, a pass. Then she does a bunch of pirouettes. Nathan and Faith. Are they the new Flirty McFlirtersons or are they still pining over Mei/Elizabeth and Carson? Did Lucas give Elizabeth the ring? Are they engaged? Why is he horsing around? And why wasn't Elizabeth interested in reading the note Lucas left for her? What's in the note from Minnie's father that's making her and Joseph so snarly? And does anybody really care? And, as mentioned above, will any of this really matter if Bill has spread TB across the greater Hope Valley region?

Kinda wonder how a church that will no longer employ Mary continues to employ Peg, a woman who has quite possibly given a majority of the commandments a run for their money.

Way to go, Billy! You became a rock star in your 15 seconds of air time tonight. And what a disappointment, Pastor Jeff. Bowing to pressure from the pharisees in the flock to shun Mary when it wasn't so long ago that you were the one tongues were wagging about. Biblically speaking, you're behaving like the jawbone of an ass. While Groovy Hip Pastor might do well to refresh himself with Commandment #10 to avoid breaking #7. (That's 9 and 6 for the Catholics in the congregation. 😉) Missy continues to be awesome, both with the punch and the hug.

Go to the pharmacy/ice cream shop, Rosemary, and pick up a pioneer brand pregnancy test and double scoop cone. If Burl Ives and Sebastian Cabot had a love child, he might be the oil/coal guy whose name escapes me. Hard to picture Mr. French singing Holly Jolly Christmas as a dastardly fellow. It's amazing Florence and Molly manage to maneuver their way down any street with the sticks wedged so firmly up their backsides.

Well, I am totally confused. Thought Bill, Lucas, Fiona, and Henry were all working together to bring down the bad guys. But now it seems that they are all independent agents, their individual plans at cross purposes with one another. And Mei's exoneration was only a Hope Valley thing? Meanwhile, while so much attention is diverted elsewhere, a rogue washing machine is wreaking havoc among the citizenry. Oh, the humanity! On a positive note, Hickam has come to the realization that Newton is better suited to be mayor than he is. And, in future attractions, it appears that exposure to newsprint increases fertility. Write a paper on it, Faith!

Have to believe this storyline is less about Georgie and Mandy's prospective parenthood and more about the unplanned pregnancy's impact upon George and Mary's already deteriorating relationship. No matter what happens - the baby is born, the baby is lost, Mandy and Georgie find a way to co-parent, Mandy disappears into the Texas countryside ... great damage has been done to George and Mary's marriage. The deep seeded problems that have always been there have been brought to the surface, and odds are, they can't be pushed to the side or ignored any more. Which just isn't much fun to watch, which is why I started thinking about "Bewitched" during the episode, imagining George as Darren and Connie as Endora, expecting to see a pudgy frog wearing a maroon shirt and tan shorts with a whistle around its neck croaking across the screen at any moment. Finally, Missy and Georgie ... brother/sister perfection!
