  1. Not a big Mandy fan, but think she had the line of the night explaining that the only underaged person she'll buy booze for is the underaged father of her baby. Guess Mary was smart enough not to let their tax guy know that there was an $800 error in their favor on their taxes. 'Cuz you know Sheldon would have argued every penny back to the IRS. (Wonder if Mary even told George?) Eye patch Mary!!! 🤣😂🤣
  2. Big Bang Mary's personality emerged in a big way this episode. Instead of coddling Sheldon, nice to see her throwing a few zingers his way. Sheldon obviously gained not one whit of humility from his experiences in Germany. Delighted to learn that Helga is "the other woman."
  3. For someone with an eidetic memory, Adult Sheldon sure glossed over the most interesting parts of his first stay in Germany. The George - Mary letter exchanges were lovely. After hearing the genuine love expressed in Mary's last letter, though, had a sudden moment of panic when the phone rang in her apartment. "Oh no! Not now!" I thought. Of course, Sheldon's knock on the door and entry into wherever in next week's previews kinda left me with a similar feeling of unease.
  4. What a delight it would be to watch Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard, Bernadette, Stuart, Kripke, and Leslie Winkle watch this episode together. Right up there with The Slap for pure viewing enjoyment. George and Mandy's dad are not the most enlightened duo, but I'd love to go grocery shopping with them again.
  5. Missy morphing into Mary ... who'da thunk it? Even more amazing, though, was Young(ish) Sheldon almost physically morphing into Big Bang Sheldon. Amazing! Think I love Dale. Not sure that's something to be proud of. 😂🤣😂
  6. "My mother's dead." 🎶Fa la la la la la la la la🎶 Who decided cheery holiday music should follow that bombshell?
  7. The school kids were mad at Lucas because Elizabeth dumped him? Whatever, show. Abigail returning? The "real" romance of Nathan and Elizabeth? If this is what awaits in the new season, I'm on Team Asteroid Makes a Direct Hit on Hope Valley.
  8. Oh, Jack's not dead. He just realized he was married to a woman with serious ball-busting shrew tendencies and used the rock slide as his means of escape. He's living the high life now, not necessarily wealthy, but definitely happy, healthy, and wiser. And, he's gonna meet up with Lucas at some point, and boy howdy, will they have a lot to share. 😉 That's my fanwank. Free for the taking to a good home. 😂🤣😂
  9. OK - take back what I said about Nathan. After tonight, he absolutely deserves to fall into Elizabeth's emasculating clutches. Lucas is well rid of her. Speaking of Lucas - isn't he from New Orleans or someplace else in the States? And wouldn't he need to be a Canadian citizen to be eligible to run for governor? Speaking of elections - wouldn't this be the first time Canadian women are allowed to vote? Some might consider that point worth mentioning. This show ...
  10. Since she wasn't willing to even move across town for him, hard to believe Elizabeth would leave Hope Valley for another town - especially one where he'd be the star and not her. Have not enjoyed watching Lucas cater (and cave) to her every whim, with her giving him absolutely nothing in return. Don't want to see Nathan, who has finally acquired a functioning personality, meet the same fate.
  11. Run, Lucas, run. Run fast and run far. Maybe there's room under the same rock pile where Jack made his escape. And take Nathan with you, too. Far, far away from Elizabeth's soul-sucking tentacles.
  12. She's at a 10+++ on the Abigail Scale of Sanctimony.
  13. Now that there is a radio in town, perhaps the good people of Hope Valley will finally learn of the Great War. Seinfeld may have been the original show about nothing, but When Calls the Heart takes nothingness to a whole new level.
  14. Spent the last week or so binging a series from the 2010's missed in first run, Hart of Dixie. Thoroughly enjoyed its endearing, quirky characters and its heart. Kinda like The Gilmore Girls set in Alabama. A definite "comfort food" kind of show. Big fan of The Chosen, so when Jonathan Roumie made a very small appearance, the whole neighborhood must have heard me yell, "JESUS!!!!" Which was followed in short order by an equally loud, though not quite as enthusiastic, "PASTOR JEFF!" when I realized it was Matt Hobby playing one of a trio of musical backwoods brothers. (He would have received a more enthusiastic greeting had he not been such a spineless jackass for much of last season.) Hey - maybe a musical episode of Young Sheldon in the future?? 🤣😂
  15. So ... we really weren't supposed to laugh when Ned face-planted into the pool? Or cheer when Tracy turned the screws on big dumb Drewfus?
  16. Fort Morgan next featured in a community wide Fix My Flip?
  17. Just a few random thoughts, many of which have already been posted. Mandy is just like her mom. RUN, GEORGIE!! Sheldon more likable than Missy through much of the episode. Who'da thunk it? Attention friendly flight attendant: The passenger in the aisle seat next to Professor Visiting is in dire need of a gin and tonic, too. Pastor Jeff's brother, the "fun uncle" ... in rehab? Will we get to meet him? Dale is killing it. A veritable old guy stand up (with the necessary assistance) comic. George and Missy have such a wonderful relationship. Sigh ... Gonna miss the Cooper family, warts and all, and hope they'll be back on screen as soon as possible in the fall.
  18. Gotta love Dale the Enforcer (with an inflatable donut). Beer is not a snack. Young Sheldon's study of the German language explains why adult Sheldon became fluent in Klingon. Romance languages, both.
  19. A moment of self-awareness for Mary, a necessary step in the transformation to the BBT mom who knew how to handle Sheldon, regardless of the bushwa he was spewing. George pointing out that Sheldon was actually acting like a normal teen - good stuff. (And boy howdy, do I hope Sheldon's kids give it to him with both barrels!!) Loved Missy. Not many lines, but some of the best. Think she and Dr. Linkletter could have an epic discussion about her brother.
  20. Writer 1: They want us to write a script that has lines for all the Coopers, Meemaw, Mandy, Dr. Sturgis, Dr. Linkletter, President Hagemeyer, Brenda, and Billy. Include a cute baby scene. Oh, and throw in a Star Trek reference or two ... and maybe a bit of foreshadowing to some BBT episodes regarding Raj, data filled computer screens, and space alien shaming. Writer 2: Wow. That's a lot to fit into 18 minutes of show time. Writer 3: Does it matter if it's funny? Apparently not.
  21. Move over Mystery Science Theater 3000. Could watch a whole season of Sheldon Cooper discussing 90210, with guest commentary by his dad. And Mary and Brenda may wind up with a stronger friendship after the whole kerfuffle. Who'da thunk it?
  22. The Coopers are messed up, but their dysfunction pales in comparison to Paige and her family. Crossed over from feeling sorry for the girl to being a bit scared of her in this episode. Paige is a deeply disturbed young lady; can't say I'd want my daughter being influenced by her right now, either. One positive result from Missy's little adventure - Mary's more than likely on her way back home. Sheldon was in about as full-scale SHELDON COOPER mode as he's ever been. How that boy survived to adulthood is a mystery.
  23. So ... Sheldon failed in his attempts to deal with failure ... because he succeeded. He's really a baby-nurturing quarterback. 😅
