I've always said Meghan is a deeply insecure person. She overcompensates for that and what she thinks is confidence is obnoxiousness. Can't blame Ana too much for that. Meghan and people close to Meghan have said some pretty shitty things about and to Ana. Meghan is clearly threatened by any woman she thinks is going to perceived as being better than her. Whether it's a fellow Republican or a View co host. She also is a jealous person by nature as her remarks about destroying her husband's property and him too if he ever cheated on her prove.

I liked her sitcom (the first one) but never liked her. I thought her coming out was a good thing and hoped it paved the way for others but I still didn't like her. When she got her talk show and it became a big hit I just didn't get it. I still don't get it. I look at her think don't other people see what I see.

I also think John Huston is a good possibility. Barkin had mentioned the person's art. He was a director. I hear more people refer to directors as artists than actors.

As soon as she said Rachel I knew exactly who she was talking about. I am too young to remember Robin Strasser (who I loved on OLTL and just about anything else I saw her in) but I remember Victoria Wyndham as Rachel. Rachel and Steve was the original supercouple. I can understand Whoopi missing soap operas. I watched daytime soaps for the better part of 25 years but about 10 years ago I quit. They just weren't the same anymore. When reality TV became a huge thing I said that is the new soap operas. People like to watch a continuing story. You want to know what comes next and it gives you something to talk about with other people. I always laugh when I hear someone get all huffy when they say their show isn't a soap when it clearly is cough *Grey's Anatomy* cough. Meghan comes from the school of thought if you repeat a lie enough times someone will believe it.

Her defenders will be people who agree with her. Will there be enough of them to keep her career going somewhere? I doubt it. I had no idea who she was before this.

I like Ross and I do agree his friends do enjoy mocking him and making fun of his job. For the life of me I don't understand why sitcoms think being very smart is something to be made fun of. You could argue the show evened it out by making fun of Joey but I didn't always find that funny either. When they had Joey do a dumb thing like getting in the entertainment center and was robbed I thought that was funny. But with Ross they were making fun of him and not a smart thing he did.

Yes. If they do that then we will know they are still friends just don't see each other all the time. But for that exec to say people just grow apart implies they are no longer friends. I can only speak for myself but I have only "grown apart" from friends that either were never really close friends or friends who did something that caused me to want to leave the friendship.

She also isn't liked by anyone. Neither side trusts or believes anything she says.

Yes wherever she is she is doing great. And living life on her terms.

I understand his point of view. There were a lot of fans that felt the same way. That the show was saying the ultimate goal for a woman is to find love. As a viewer of this particular show I enjoyed all four being happily coupled. Well less so with Miranda but whatever. But as a woman I wasn't thrilled with that message. When I watched the finale when it originally aired I was happy Carrie ended up with Big. But upon repeated rewatches I am less happy. Especially knowing what happens in the movies. She screams at him before she leaves for Paris but then once in Paris and realizing things aren't working with Alek she is happy to see Big. Her knight swooping in to save her. I might have found it romantic back in 2004 but now I think Jesus can Carrie ever stand on her own two feet.

I knew that. I think I read it in one of the SATC books that came out a couple years ago. Well one thing is I don't think Carrie would have been a screecher. I like Lisa Edelstein. In her hands Carrie would have been more mature and I think would have had more of an edge. If they had cast her I don't know if Cynthia Nixon would have worked as Miranda. They would have seemed too similar.

It's interesting Whoopi brought up Amanda Bynes. Am I remembering correctly that several years ago a View producer saw her out in NYC and filmed her? I think Meredith and Star Jones were still there. I remember being disappointed in the View for showing the video. It was very tabloidy.
