  1. Jeffries was a female detective who was partnered with Munch for the first two(?) seasons. The actress who played her didn't get along with Richard Belzer allegedly and was written off, with Ice Cube replacing her. The in show reason she was written off was because she disclosed to a department psychiatrist that she slept with a former suspect and she sued the department for punishing her for it. She'd have done better to just say she fantasied about killing perps. MIRITE Y'ALL? XD
  2. You'd have to get a digital copy. The regular price is $9.99, if you catch a sale, the price drops to half. It sucks, but when VII first came to PSN, hard copies for the PS One were selling for $80.00+ in some places on the internet. XD Also, none of your questions are dumb. It used to be a console cost about $100. Nowadays, it's doubled and the console itself is capable of serving as a DVD/Blu-Ray player or lesser computer if you needed it to be. You should be asking questions. :D
  3. Every console has some kind of online store - Nintendo e-shop/virtual console(?), X-Box Live(?), Arcade(?). I like PSN because it has very broad choices for games, television, movies, and music and all of them can be shared between accounts on the same console. So, if you have 3 separate PSN accounts on the same console, only one of them need to have purchased and downloaded Final Fantasy VII for all accounts on that console to play VII. Unfortunately, PSN and Sony have proven very vulnerable to hacking in the recent past. -_-; Again, I have the most experience with PSN. I can't really recall if Nintendo or X-Box online purchases are tied to a specific account or not. I would think so though.
  4. I would opt for a used PS3 (since it seems you're leaning that way), simply because it's cheaper. Plus, if you can buy a of classic PS1 and PS2 games off PSN. Most of those games a fairly cheap $9.99 and under. I have bought my beloved Chrono Cross, Final Fantasy VII, Odin Sphere, Persona 4, and Final Fantasy V off PSN (and more) for cheaper than that because I caught a Square Enix or Final Fantasy sale (or Atlus). They go on sale a couple times a year too. Buying them on PSN ties them to your PSN account, so if you get a PS4 years on down the road, you'll have access to most of them by download on your newer console. Plus, there are still good indie games available on the PS3 like Journey and The Swan and they'll be continue to be released for sometime. I think you can get most every FF on PS3. I think the exceptions are III and IV (the Complete Version or whatever). I think XII might be coming to PSN too, if its not already. I found a used 250 GB PS3 at Game Stop for about the same amount of money ($259 ish), I think you can do better if you shop around online at places like Amazon or E-Bay. Check the dealer reviews first and be aware shipping and handling costs. Be advised, I have never touched a Nintendo Wii, so I am very biased. I would marry my PS3 if I could. :)
  5. That was perfect! XD I do wonder if that would work on guards. I am not even sure if guards respawn. I've tried illusion spells (frenzy) on guards and they didn't work. It may have been because the one guard I chose to try it on is involved in Delayed Burial. I do wonder if dualcast Raise [whatever] would work on him or any other guard. Edit: Oooohhh, I just looked it up on USEP, and apparently guards in some towns in Skyrim do NOT respawn.
  6. I took some pictures of the daffodils by my mom's house with my Nintendo 3DS. I wonder why Nintendo never shows off this feature of the 3DS. I liked the pics so much, I made them my header and background on my blog. Given that it's in the Narcissus family, it fits. :) I also think Nintendo should promote Colors more too. So much wasted potential. I also wanted to share this Skyrim tip with you guys, because I think it's little known and life is to short to put up with hateful NPCs. Let me state that (1) this is a nuclear option and can wreck your save if you use it early and (2) I found this trick on Game FAQs, so I didn't discover it (I can't find the topic I got it from). For us console players, you have to put up with essential NPCs, that you can't really punish, right? Well, here's a trick to make Riften or Markarth a little more bearable. You can literally reduce Maven, Erikur, or Braith (all of whom are unkillable in-game) to ash by two single cast Raise Zombie. That's it. You hit them with that spell as many times as necessary, and poof. "Dusted!" as Sailor Moon would say. The game still treats them as alive, but you won't have to put up with their snotty attitudes anymore. It also means they won't be available for quests anymore (that includes radiant quests too). Again, be careful. I am not certain if this spell causes a bounty or not and it won't help you if you're dissatisfied with your spouse and kids. Edit: Found one of the threads pertaining to this glitch. Clarified that it's not dualcast, but cast twice. Sorry. Seems it can work either way, it just takes more time than I thought to activate.
  7. Thank you! That entire episode was bullshit and proved to me that Olivia should probably be removed from the squad by any means necessary. For detectives, there's not a bright one in the bunch. These guys always come off as lazy LEOs looking for quick solutions and easy wins. I know the audience gets to know things the detectives don't, but they display a lack of imagination, a lack of logic and reasoning, that one would think these guys are recently promoted patrolmen (no disrespect, patrolmen). One of the things that impressed me about Rollins and Amaro when they first appeared was that they showed critical thinking skills. They didn't just convict they first person they saw or if something strange popped out to them, they let everyone know and chased the lead regardless of Olivia and Cragen pushing them towards one suspect. Ugh, then Rollins became Jeffries and Amaro became Stabler. Stupid writers.
  8. So, the usual then. I don't get why Fox or whoever licenses all these characters who often aren't even officially introduced and then usually disappeared or killed off in the same scene. Did no one learn anything from Sony's(?) Spiderman 3?
  9. It's coming to PC and the PS3. You've got options! You should take a look at the third trailer. One of the new classes is seeker and a lot of people are saying it looks very Attack on Titan-ish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvZb2sQ2C3c
  10. Definitely, but I try to make an effort to buy new when I can nowadays. Plus, considering it's PSN, who knows when a price drop or sale will happen again. ;)
  11. PSN is having a sale (40% off) for the Dragon Age series through the 16th. This includes the original, II, and Inquisition. I picked up Awakening and the Return to Ostegar DLC. Other DLC packs for II are on sale too. It's probably cheaper to just get the ultimate edition, but Dragon Age (standard edition) was the first game I got for my PS3 way back when I first got it. I am super excited about playing Awakening for the first time ($19.99 is just too expensive). Also, if you haven't heard yet there's DLC for Inquistion coming in May. Its not necessarily a Dawnguard or Dragonborn though from what I here. Hope this wasn't against forum rules, it just caught me by surprise and I thought people might like to know.
  12. I wish someone would explain to me the appeal of Wolverine. I liked him well enough as kid. That was mostly because out of all the X-Men, aside from Jubilee, he seemed the most normal. When Cyclops was sulking about being unable to control his eye lasers, Jean struggling with levitating an endtable, and Charles being self righteous, those two would go out and have a bit of fun and enjoy their power. Sometimes, I shake my head at the movie franchise. So many interesting characters and stories to tell in this series, and they give us yet another goddamned love triangle with more Wolverine focus than ever. Also, at this point I am willing to go with Final Fantasy XIII-2's "change the future and you change the past" time travel logic. Square should know, they made Chrono Trigger.
  13. I admit it, I am not a true fan of game shows. I only started watching the Feud recently because of some of the Steve Harvey era answer madness. Even though I think some of the questions of clearly trolling, regardless of intent (heh), its interesting to watch. A week or two ago, I caught a rerun where the survey question was name an animal you wouldn't want to be described as (or similar). The number one answer was elephant. I would have thought, dog, rat, or pigeon would have been up there as number one, but neither rat or pigeon were even on the board. Anyway, can I just say the editing on this show (Harvey era) is extremely weird. There have been times when two members are facing off at the podium and when one of them starts to say an answer, the buzzer sounds and appears. The person then answers and its a 50/50 split on whether the answer appears on the board or not. Sometimes its funny, but mostly I just wonder if this is sloppy editing or if a ruling was delivered by a judge or what. One of my favorite families I've seen is the Pawlawks(sp?), who were all male and wore (hockey?) jerseys. Their first win was a curbstomp against another family (I don't think they even scored and they returning champs) and they also took home $20,000 that day. :) Speaking of, it seems that in Harvey era Feud it is harder to win $20,000. The first question in fast money is almost always a between 1-10 rate question. WTH? I know rules were changed to make impossible to get all 200 pts in one go. I guess we won't see anymore joke fast money rounds where the host messes with the second contestant with oddball questions. :'(
  14. Did Usagi just-- with Mamoru? In an explosion of cherry blossoms! XD This episode felt rushed and hectic, and I don't mean in that intentional way. Get it together writers.
  15. Any time Stabler and Benson are offered help with an investigation by a fellow law enforcement officer or agency, and they start up with their pointed/disbelieving looks and poor attitude. They're veteran cops and they go into this total mean girl act every. damn. time. So unpleasant to watch. Dr. Warner is the only person who didn't get this act.
  16. That sounds cool, but SE has a bad history with free to play games on iOS or whatever. I'll keep my Theatrhythm.
  17. Finally! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNxmg4w7azQ I am a big fan of DD, and I am happy this entry is coming to the PS3 as well. From what I've gleaned changes are: you can team up with other pawns and arisens (true co-op), each vocation is limited to one weapon (yellow vocations are limited to bows), more vocations, the climbing mechanic returns (including scalable trees). Its supposed to be out later this year. XD
  18. My favorite line from LB is, "Don't tap your little last season Prada shoes at me, honey." Followed by Elle's quiet and indignant, "These shoes aren't last season." And, "Oh, Elle... My snap was all over the place." And, "Oh my God, the bend and snap! Works every time." Ah, the little things.
  19. Ever since the R arc started, the animation has looked increasingly limited and cheap. At least Venus didn't get nabbed. Next week, Sailor Pluto.
  20. I just spent most of the week going over the events of World War I and II and I didn't cry. Don't get me wrong, I alternate between being outraged, pissed, and depressed. But I didn't cry. I cried tonight about Nia, even though I think its total bullshit she died. I always pretend the series ends with Nia being welcomed home.
  21. Not to be a Sony apologist, but perhaps Sony really does lack faith in the all-female version of Ghostbusters. I am trying to imagine Ghostbusters where all the GB are women and it just doesn't work. I can imagine one or two women as part of the team, but all four doesn't strike me as interesting, at all. It strikes me as gimmicky, and the casting didn't help either. I think both Ghostbusters are going to get a lukewarm reception a la Robocop though.
  22. Anyone still watching? The last two episodes shed some light on Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury. We even get to see a picture of Jupiter's parents, who died a while ago (didn't sound recent). We found out about Mercury's father, who was a painter and taught her how to play chess. What could have been interesting reveals is dampened somewhat by the last three episodes being exactly the same episode, only the character focus has switched. It was nice to see Rei and Makoto's daily life. Ami's seemed very impersonal in retrospect. Also, I don't think I'll ever enjoy any incarnation of Chibi-Usa. Not annoying, but I just don't like her. Maybe if she were older or something.
  23. I agree about opening themes, but I also like to point out my primary interest in anime nowadays is actually their original soundtracks. Gundam Wing, .hack//SIGN, and Outlaw Star still have some of the most impressive soundtracks I've ever heard. They are edgy, moody, and beautiful. I literally cannot remember a single OST from an American television show, but if I remember "Where The Sky Is High" from .hack... I remember little details about a show I haven't seen in almost a decade.
  24. Sadly, I have more in common with Billy Madison than I would like to admit. Can't stop laughing though. *looks away ashamed*
