90DF Live Chat 2: This Thread is Only 60% Good
Grifter Lives replied to OnceSane's topic in 90 Day Fiancé
Since I watched the rerun of last week's episode before tonight's show, and I'm tired of Amira, I'm bothered that she hasn't wacked at least 12 inches of her hair off. She doesn't need it. -

Let's see if she gives Harris her mother's engagement ring so that he can propose to her. -

Zied and Rebecca are in two different lighting. And, we don't see a shot of both of them at the table. (We see his hair or her hair in the corner of the other's close-up.) -

Natalie's mother must have seen the other two weddings, and there may even be a fourth. So, she can miss the big day - a down-home wedding on the ranch. It rivals Danielle's and Mohammed's. -

Mike's tree farm turned into a ranch. Is he herding Christmas trees? Is Uncle Beau now in the pasture with some longhorn? -

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Grifter Lives replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Christine is the granddaughter of Rulon Allred, the founder of the AUB church. Mitch is the grandson of the current AUB prophet, Lynn Thompson. Mitch’s sister, Vanessa, is a wife of Jeff Alldrege (Seeking Sister Wife). Jeff also has two children who married Thompsons: a Thompson brother (to Jeff's daughter in polygamy) and a Thompson sister (to Jeff's son). Thus, Jeff Alldrege is both a Thompson father-in-law and brother-in-law, because Vanessa’s (& Mitch's) siblings married his children. Mitch's other sister, Heather, is in a monogamous marriage. So, Mitch himself is the family tiebreaker for monogamy or polygamy. (Hannah had 5 children with Mitch’s father.) Rosemary Thompson Williams, Brady Williams' 3rd wife (My Five Wives), is Lynn Thompson’s daughter with Donna Lynn Jessop. Thus, she is Mitch's aunt. Mitch's grandfather is married to two Allreds: Donna Beth Allred-Jessop and Rhoda Mills Allred, who are great-aunt and half-aunt (respectively) to Christine. -
Kody has hairplugs, doesn't he? Priorities. I agree, and I'll add the recovery from Day'un's ATV accident. But, Botox or other injectables are better investments than their magnetic eyelashes, home hair dyes, Robyn's manicures, Meri's orange tanning sessions, and the Brushes' and Mariah's tattoos. If these grifters applied themselves, they could even get complimentary procedures in exchange for promotions - like Janelle and her personal trainer in the early seasons, and their tree commitment ceremony cake, and every daughter's wedding to date.

Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Grifter Lives replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Maybe she's Maddie's downline. I wonder what her Jelly Belly professors think or how much they taught her about this. Granted, it's been a while since she's discovered another rock-star ingredient. She posted this within 2 days of her sweet potato, honey and banana recipe, yet she's broken her lifelong sugar addiction. Perhaps the most disturbing part of her post is that her infant granddaughter and toddler grandson have had persistent GI problems and are being fed this junk. In fact, both their mother and father also must have some condition and nobody in that family has been diagnosed by a licensed medical professional. P.S.: Janelle left out her two usual disclaimers, "Google it," and "I'm not a doctor, but maybe you should ask one, too." -
Janelle Brown: Smarter Than Your Average Brown (Maybe)
Grifter Lives replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Strive with Janelle's mission statement is, "Give my clients the wellness education, tools and resources that they need to feel happy, healthy, and capable of managing life’s pressures." Yet Janelle the coach can't even empty the sink or load the dishwasher, because she's had "one of those weeks" for the last 520 consecutive weeks or so. And, neither of those activities is a life pressure. I guess she'll cope by going through a drive-through or two for dinner. Some may even offer sweet potato French fries. Then, she'll veg out for the weekend by watching television. -

Also, two of these couples aren't even physically together or have gone through the K-1 Visa process. The other two are financially supported by their parents. Worse, all the pleas to ban Angela from 90 Days were completely ignored. -
Who's the audience for this? Is there a large population of tea-drinking, scone bakers whose kitchens are so bare they hold neither potholders nor word art? Is there some underground community of die-hard Mariah and Bonnie wannabes or cosplayers? Notice that none of the personalized items are from Meri. Her walls are still up. And, Sarah is completely irrelevant. Also, it's a monthly box of seasonal specialties. But, this seems to be the first and only month it's been offered, and she's not offering an annual subscription. That's a sad performance from a professional grifter.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
Grifter Lives replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Doesn't Christine or Robyn wear that floral shirt on the show frequently? Maybe Christine will launch her own as-worn-by-disgruntled-polygamist-on-reality TV LuLaRoe collection, like Meri. (We know that all the camouflage we saw last week will be for sale at the end of the season.) The #LulaRoeCheryl is Christine's wrinkled cardigan. -

She must never have taught Savannah or Gabe, either. Maybe Janelle should find an accountability partner. Instead, she'll just start eating off of paper napkins and paper towels, then newspapers. -

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!

Kody Brown: Part-Time Father & Full-Time Asshat. He explains it himself. -
I barely follow their conversations - because they're boring and non-sensical (e.g., Christine says, "It's no personal. It's about identity.") I counted coffee makers on the counter: She had a Keurig, an espresso maker and a kettle. I didn't spotted the automatic drip or French press yet. I also noted how many poinsettias in the background. The premise of Robyn's visit and conversation was so fake: Robyn was so concerned about Christine's feelings a few weeks earlier that she confronted Christine, unannounced, one random midmorning. Robyn seemed to have no idea how the Browns lived in Lehi, even though she joined the fambly and lived nearby and, soon after, they all moved to their own homes again and again. More importantly, she harps on and enforces "the family culture" every single episode. Christine talked about how uncomfortable she is at other wives' homes, because she doesn't know who she is there. Robyn rationalized that the discomfort is due to their shared roles - as if Christine is also raising Robyn's children or Robyn does anything beyond being Kody's goon.

Doesn't Meri present that the furniture at Lizzie's B&B as authentic and family heirlooms? How did it survive Bonnie, especially when she's alone at the inn? At least the polygamist doors are real. Meri or social media manager Audrey should have saved this for Mother's Day and written about Lizzie for International Women's Day. And, MSWC should have had a closeout sale on their Strong Women line. (OK, the last suggestion is as believable as the furniture and doors.)

Here's a photo of Yara's wedding dress via Reddit. I'm not sure if we saw it on Sunday's episode. It's hard to see, because she's draping a coat over her shoulders, of course.

Their plan was for Mariah to finish graduate school before they marry. After marriage, they'd start their family. Last week, she said that they were moving to Utah after the semester underway and she'd finish her degree at "the U." If they moved to Utah in May or June, an August 2020 wedding would be tight. Also, they decided to marry in Utah after they decided to move there and their friends told them that Audrey & Mariah loved the mountains. When Mariah & Audrey were living in Chicago, they talked about getting married there, but it looks like they never started to plan a wedding. I do remember some dumb conversation about what their wedding would be like when they went to a diner for breakfast when the sister wives visited. They got engaged in January 2019 at the Women's March in DC. When they announced their engagement on the show last season, Kody grilled them about setting a wedding date. Mariah forecasted 3 years (the length of her original graduate program). Kody declared that 3 years was too long and 6 months is normal. Meri was upset because they didn't tell her first. When Christine asked about a timeline, Meri immediately cried, "I should be the one asking that!"

Mariah returns the favor when Kody talks about choosing a wedding date. This is after her stunned silence when he asks about the significance of the 29th, since he didn't know his own daughter's birthday. Ironically, Kody was going to marry Janelle on Meri's birthday. Ultimately, he postponed that wedding (to Meri's former sister-in-law) by 4 days. Kody asks Robyn when they got married, and Mariah yells, "Which one?" Bonus points for the collateral zing at her own mother.
