S15.E06: Different Wives, Different Rules

He called it, "The Kody Log." We saw a snippet from March 29th. I'm sure that he'll publish the full log as their next New York Times best-seller. He can repurpose Governor Cuomo's book title, American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic, for his subtitle. Kody will offer deep reflections, like, "Areolabella is such a life-force of uncontrollable energy. She cannot sit long, and she's either in your face or in her own world." -

Actually, only AuroraBreanna nearly cried in this episode, when she was informed that her commencement was canceled. She heaved and tried to force tears. Gabe didn't seem to care about commencement months earlier, and nobody compensated him. And, if it would have been upsetting to Gwendlyn, it didn't matter. Only one "triplet" matters. -

Christine's birthday (April 18, 1972) is the fifth birthday. But, she's the basement wife, who apparently would be in charge of raising the cow and chickens for Kody & Robyn's family, so she's easily overlooked. -

Thanks - You are absolutely correct. I edited my remark. They're behaving like this on-camera, after they've been in near-complete isolation together for at least two weeks. Mariah must be contrary and in everyone's face about something. Also, they're pushing for TLC to underwrite her wedding. Thus, Mariah must show that she has the deepest, most meaningful and lasting relationship of all her siblings. I doubt they're like that off-camera. As you suspect, Audrey's posting photos of Mariah and their carb-loading fests at Lizzie's. -

Meri is really repressed and still hints at homophobia. After she asserts that a person needs 4 hugs a day just to survive, she says, "I love hugs & touch from the appropriate person (nervous laugh), you know what I mean? And when you don't have that, it fills rilly, ri-i-lly lonely." She then says that she is careful not to push Kody so that he doesn't think that she's demanding or pushy. She has to modulate her behavior around her ex-husband, and her last romance was with a fictitious man. She will never meet the RDA of daily hugs. Probably to spite Meri, Mariah caresses Audrey in every scene. Their significant weight gain between the scenes and interviews is really striking. -
Maybe they're betting that Robyn's children are most likely to be polygamists (after Aspyn). I agree: This news is so life-affirming and earth-shattering that Robyn with Kody and Christine tell their children independently. Also, Christine acts like the pandemic is part of the vast polygamist persecution conspiracy, because groups of 10 or more are forbidden. There would have been 11 people or two parties between her & Robyn's households.
-
They taught their children to have no emotional attachment to anywhere, because they'll have to flee at any time. One of Christine's daughters had to give up being the class historian when they moved to Las Vegas, Gabe gave up potential college wrestling scholarships, etc., when they moved to Flagstaff. And, this set of children left Utah while they were in elementary school. They don't have any attachment. Kristine's a moron. Also - she didn't say anything about being closer to Aspyn & Mykelti or the extended family.

We just saw Kody try to manufacture tears about burying his dog in Utah (even though he was crying about returning to Lehi one last time). Now we've spent several minutes hearing him say that he's not a dog person. Also, I thought that he had dogs his whole childhood on the ranch. This entire episode is revisionist history. I'm going to start to look for Robyn's "Shoulda been there from the beginnin'" fake family portrait.

Surviving Sister Wives podcast noted the irony of Gabe's spending his summer, accelerating his high school graduation to get out of that house, only to be trapped there by the pandemic.
-
How did Janelle have contact with someone in another county when she was quarantining? Where would she have gone, or what would she have needed to do to risk exposure?
-
Yet he cannot muster any emotion over not seeing Meri while Mariah and Audrey quarantine, . . . or, for that matter, the indefinite length of the pandemic.
-
I hate these Brown parents. They should be worried about their own children and helping their children survive the pandemic. Instead, they're trying to indoctrinate them about polygamy. Kody and Robyn must be trying to pitch a sequel of just Robyn's family and house.
-
Savannah must kiss Robyn's ring. She just lost her two seconds of attention earlier in the show. Janelle left Kody & Meri for nearly 3 years and moved back to Wyoming, raising 5 kids herself. Not 8 months. That's why there's a 3-year gap between Gabe's and Savannah's births.
-
Kody's sons don't care if they see Kody or not. But, they see that their mother is getting the table scraps. Gabe's basically saying, "If the opportunity arises and it fits in my schedule, Kody can visit."
-
Robyn's neck s really swollen. With that and her weight gain, her chin is less pointed.
-
I was just typing a similar remark. Despite quarantine, if you're going to film yourself for a television show, try to bathe sometime in the week before. Christine is really over-emoting. She's more annoying than usual, too.
-
Kody's find every and no reason to cut Meri off. Audrey and Mariah are so in love that they haven't stopped touching each other.
-
That house has 98 rooms, but Kody's filming from the garage.

Isn't it his mother's ring? She is actually obligated to give it back - breach of contract. She should keep it anyway. Like Andrew, what's he going to do? -

They're going to a motel. They can use another credit card and find another motel so that Natalie doesn't have to return. But, then we won't have the season's cliffhanger. -

Didn't Natalie & Tamara already drive off at the start of the show? I don't think that Big Mike has the speed to catch a car, unless the aliens transported him. -

Remember: She had to fly a puddle-hopper or two to get to the resort. That's where you especially don't want to be on the same plane. She bragged that she booked first-class to Belize, but the camera crew's equipment was too heavy, and they missed her flight, and she had to fly coach. -

I'm sure that Hazel would have a much larger party, but for COVID. . . She's so fun, popular and gregarious.
