Every time I see them in sleeveless dresses I get second-hand stress about the heating bills. And their carbon footprints. But not as much second-hand stress as when they clomp inside from the Wisconsin snow/salt/slush and don't remove their shoes. GAH! My UO is that I hope Faith dies in a snowdrift. I've had enough of that smarmy kid.

That's excellent! I planned to allow myself "the Thanksgiving works" and boy oh boy... did I feel sluggish and gross afterward. But it was delicious! lol Today we took a brisk 6 mile walk and did some abs, and ate pretty normal (minus the big oatmeal cookie), so things are getting back on track. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, and for those not in the U.S. hope you had a great weekend. :)

I think the excuse was that they had multiple lines and you had to dial 1 to get an outside line. Which still doesn't make sense. They should have just said the kids were horsing around with the phone.

I think Britney was placed on a 5150 hold (which is when you are sent to a psych ward for a mandatory minimum of 72 hours for your own safety). Once that happened her father was able to step in. There would have been documented evidence and psych evaluations. It doesn't sound like there has been any such action in Shelley's life so far. You need real evidence of incompetence before you can put someone under conservatorship.

I have some big opinions about what is "wrong", but they have more to do with parenting and environment than the child himself. But they're just hunches and worth nothing. :/

Sometimes inpatient is recommended when it is not appropriate or safe for the child to be around other siblings or household members (either for his wellbeing or theirs). We can't rely on an edited TLC show to decide whether Colin has extreme problems. I hope he is happy and well, wherever he is, and that it's not one of those boot camp facilities. :(

Yeah, working out at home is all about getting into a routine and being dedicated to it, because there are lots of other distractions. But I guess that's also true of getting to the gym. aradia I hope you find a solution to the spending issue so you're under less stress. Could you ask the trainer in the new year to set you up with a completely new routine once per month, and then spend each month mastering it? That would get you almost a year without having to buy more. I hope you enjoy your December sessions. It's great that you're working out through the holiday season!

Did Pam sneak back in and toss her mom over the balcony at night, or was her poor mom out there the whole time, unnoticed?

I've enjoyed a few of the Balls Deep episodes, notably life on a tug boat and following that Trump volunteer in Ohio. And the tent preacher. And the high school students preparing to graduate. Okay, I like a lot of it. :) Last night I watched the ep about Ramadan and appreciated the look into how some everyday families celebrate, and how much is involved. (and I have a tiny crush on Thomas Morton WHAT)

I think that's the part that bugs me. She seemed so mortified to learn that models have to keep thin and are judged by their looks. Really, Lisa? That's news? But then there are truly fascinating bits like inside the L.A. county coroner's department, or heartbreaking pieces like the victims of Warren Jeffs. It just seems like at the end of even really different worlds like those two, she never has much of substance to say. IMO she'd be better off just chronicling the encounters and not bothering with her confession-style monologues.

Hi aradia, I hope it goes well with the trainer! Are you able to space the training sessions out over time and do their routine by yourself in between, to maximize the $$$? It used to motivate me knowing that I was seeing the trainer again in a couple weeks and wanted to show progress, as opposed to no progress and having to tell them I'd slacked off. Barre class is tough.

"You can rely on the old man's blowpoke" sounds incredibly dirty. lol I agree that his "other" life may have been a factor. They are bleeding money, her job is on the line, mounting debt, and she's busting her hump while he lazes around the house and picks up guys on the internet? They may also have had an arrangement where she didn't care so long as she didn't have to know about it, and somehow one of his daliances came to her attention. Maybe she threatened to tell everyone what he really did during the day while everyone thought he was writing. Or maybe he just wanted the insurance money, simple as that. I was not on board with the way the prosecutor shrieked "filth!!!" in regards to pornography. She sounded like the Church Lady from SNL.
