Here here. I saw this storyline coming from a mile away even before the season kicked off. And it's like...can we just not? It's been done a thousand times before. No we don't need to see it. Again.

Well I don't know. After the heart attack all Big did was ask "what are we doing?" twice. And then fell asleep. Like he didn't promise her some huge rekindling of romance, more just hinted at the possibility of it. 🧑

Isn't it about interest? Like if the show got lots of comments consistently over time then it would get one.

Loving all the intelligent discussion in here! Can we talk about something? Something that stands out to me to this day is Carrie's: You and I, NOTHING! Scene in the 21st episode of the final season. Big comes to her, trying to rekindle their relationship, but Carrie acts strange through the whole thing. Do you think her reaction to Big there was reasonable? By that pont in their story, they were only casual friends for like, 3 years or more. Big came in town and wanted to talk to her and she wouldn't respond, then when he went to her house, she cussed him out and told him to never call again. Which seemed unreasonable to me, because by this point they were not lovers, and Big really did not do anything (recently) to deserve that treatment. Or did she see Big's intentions even before he said a word and she was angry that he would come to get her at such an unfortunate time? (when she was about to move away). What does everyone think about it? That interaction is fascinating to me.

She does have a character arc with that going to school thing so she can be "teacher boss" one day, they just don't focus on it for some reason. Maybe because it would take too much of the focus away from the family.

You have to remember, mental health and shrinks were a lot more stigmatized back then than they are today. Carrie didn't mean anything bad by her comment, if you watched the show it was obvious Miranda had a lot of unresolved anger issues towards the opposite sex. Just one example is her inability to say "I love you" to anyone until the final season.

I liked the episode but hated it at the same time. I can't believe the hands from the promos ended up being Gilbert with another girl 😣 . The entire episode was so sad. Gilbert and Anne were low-key fighting again, and on the train when he said he's "taken notice" of the fact that Anne doesnt need him, was that a reference to the first episodes take notice scene showing that he's mad about that?? I was happy to see Cole again though.

Richard was the owner of the company, the boss. What were the employees going to do? Revolt?

Just FYI, from the 12 new shows that premiered this week, The Unicorn actually had the highest amount of ratings. 6 million viewers. You can tell the show has lots of young viewers because of the incredibly high amount of edits/cracks made about the series and the huge amount of views they pull in. 760 000 views 450 000 views 240 000 views And there are lots more where that came from.

This is true and Jill urged her to go and try to work out their differences before she dies. That could be a storyline for her.

Remember those rumors of a spin-off? Maybe that is the solution that makes everyone happy.

I'm pretty sure this is the last season. At least this way they can end the show with Eddie going off to college, which would be fitting.

I'm on these "young fans" you describe. I have read all of the books. Multiple times. But when discussing the show, I am not going to constantly compare it to the source material, because the fact is, the series took many artistic liberties. The expansion of the world is a real joy to watch, but it also gives less reason to reference the books, since with the many changes it is harder to predict what will actually happen.

What do you mean "she only gets one". I listed 3 very distinct and important storylines with Marjorie in my comment. That is more than 1. She had a lot of focus on her but there is only so much you can do. And obviously, she will not get the same focus as Bonnie who is a main character. As for Wendy being an archetype, she is very obviously the Jerry of the show (from parks and recreation). The part of the friend group who is often dismissed & the butt of the joke. That is what she is there for, so I don't think that will change.

But the thing is, it completely doesn't matter what kind of improvements Christie made. In fact, it is 100% totally irrelevant. She still ruined Violet's childhood which has huge consequences for the rest of her life. As someone who experienced very similiar issues to Violet, I completely understand where she was coming from. Like who cares if Christie is now sober? Why couldn't she do it while Violet was a kid?

From what I remember, when Oliver plots to get money in creative ways, his plans actually always work out. It's just that when his parents discover what he has been up to, he is forced to return / give up the money or stop the project. Like, he successfully made friends with Spencer, he had that fake phone location business, and selling the off-brand shirts. All were successes to a point until the parents interfered.
