  1. This was scary first hour. Before the first 30 minutes ended, it seemed like storm clouds were on the horizon and gathering steam. By the time the Grenell story was covered and leading towards the end of the hour, it was like the black storm were overhead, shooting out lightning.
  2. This was scary first hour. Before 6:30, it seemed like storm clouds were on the horizon and gathering steam. By the time the Grenell story was covered and leading towards the end of the hour, it was like the black storm were overhead, shooting out lightning.
  3. There were people that should have been on today's show. Donald Ayers. He's been on other MSNBC shows. Why wasn't he on MJ? Claire McCaskill. Maybe she needs to explain that she voted for William Barr to try to save her seat. Kamala Harris. Showing the clip of her grilling Barr is pure gold. On the flip side. Kasie looked like she was dressed in an old lady nightgown and bathrobe. And, JMO, that do is not a good look on her. Kareen Jean Pierre looked adorable as always.
  4. Eddie is on auto mute for me. I would like MJ to play a clip of his 2016 advice to Democrats. "If you live in a blue state, stay home ". Thank you genius.
  5. Social justice Mika showed up this morning to publicly try to humiliate Snoop. A heartfelt public apology and offer to meet with Gayle King isn't good enough. And Joe's not going to let the media off the hook because he's an ass and can't figure out how to pretend to still be outraged. I'm pissed off because no one (and includes Rev Al this morning) doesn't seem to give a flying fuck that continuing to talk about this is so insensitive to the Bryant family. These people's lives have forever been drastically changed. No amount of fame or fortune that Kobe realized in his life will ever make up for his loss to them. Of course none of that makes a difference to M & J but although Rev Al was more subdued and rational, I still expected him to take the feelings of the Bryant family into consideration publicly.
  6. Everyday this show hits a new low for me and makes me angry and/or depressed. I really can't stand all the BS flying around over mostly nothing. Baseball, religion, movies and TV shows (they saw or didn't). Today I turned off during the Snoop/Gayle debacle. I don't give a shit. And, Kobe and his daughter and seven others died in a horrible, tragic accident. Can't MJ, etc just not go there and let them RIP.
  7. Isn't this the same judge that Roger Stone tweeted with a crosshair over her face?
  8. PBI if you liked Save Me the Plums, you might enjoy two books by Laurie Colwin. Home Cooking and More Home Cooking. I was introduced to her as a reader of Gourmet Magazine. She was an occasional columnist.
  9. Apparently Joe's MO is sitting at his computer in the basement, at all hours of the night, writing WAPO OP ED's attacking his alumni. The confederacy of dunces
  10. I only watched the first half hour. The story is so sickening I really didn't want to go back there. This is one of the many horrible stories that happen everyday but got so much media attention that I watched Ashley Banfield on HLN cover it nightly (before her show was canceled). Her show, replaced by nonstop Forensic Files, has some pretty sick stories too, but, killing one's entire family so you can start a new life is pretty rare. He's a monster. His mother should be ashamed of her behavior and I'm not sorry that his girlfriend has to live with this for the rest of her life too. RIP Shan'en and babies.
  11. I know the Bondy interview/Les Parnas tape was considered a huge get by Rachel, but, in the overall scheme of things, to me it's just another nothing.

    MSNBC

Starting February 16th Andrew Zimmern, chef and former host of Bizarre Foods, will have a five part series. What's Eating America will start with five episodes and could be extended. Also, CNN has hired longtime CNBC reporter John Harwood as White House correspondent.
  13. Heilemann was good this morning. His show, The Circus, appropriately named given the way he described vulnerable Republican senators this morning. There's going to be a lot of tightrope walking and ball juggling.
  14. Just started The Library Book by Susan Orlean. For lovers of books and libraries, this is a fascinating and sad story of the devastating fire at The Los Angels Public Library on April 28, 1986.
  15. The hypocrisy coming from Joe is so thick, you can cut it with a knife.
  16. Carlos Beltran, Altuve, blah, blah Astros, blah, blah, Mets, Red Sox. Does anyone on that panel care what happened in the Senate yesterday? Oh, yeah, at 6:10 time to get down to business.
  17. Katty looks like she's wearing an old bathroom rug
  18. After all the nonsense this morning, at least David Plouffe was on which I thought was a good segment.
  19. I'm a little pissed off at myself that I'm one of the nearly 1 million that is so brain dead that I keep tuning in. Maybe there aren't that many actual views. Maybe it's just lots of TV's turned onto MSNBC at places like my gym where people aren't really watching.
  20. Mika said she watched college football. It was fun. Joe subtly made fun of her. I did too. Tom Nichols is worried that Democrats will stay home and wash their hair if they're unhappy with the nominee. ☹
  21. See this movie. It's excellent!
  22. LOL Joe asks Willie for historical reference of Iran's actions.
  23. If you're asking about Kasie's husband, she said he took paternity leave and the importance of father's being able to do that. Coincidentally, she showed up on MJ in the 7:00 hour to talk pregnancy. babies and all things KYV. I turned the TV off.
  24. Kasie has returned. I watched the first hour and towards the end of it she decided to editorialize on how lucky she is to be a woman with many privileges and thanked those that helped her. She gave a big thanks to her mentor Mika.
