  1. I will join you at the Table for 5, and since I was inspired by a cooking show this weekend, I am bringing honey-cinnamon bubble bread (AKA monkey bread), enough to share with all the tables!
  2. I thought that when two teams made the eclairs and the rest made tortes. I thought the eclair teams would be laughed off the show.
  3. Oh wow, what a complete surprise! I am so excited. I never win anything so this is the honor of a lifetime. I am going to print out my winner award for my trophy wall, which now will have one thing on it. Thank you so much FJ Contest! I am humbled by your applause.
  4. Thanks for that interesting interview link. Ken sounded very nervous during his introduction at his first episode hosting, something I didn't notice while watching but was evident just hearing his voice.
  5. Truer words were never written. The online nastiness is so exhausting. It's easy to be mean, not so easy to find the bright side and say something positive. That said, the list of guest hosts yet to come is long. I have to admit, I'm ready for them to pick one and just get on with the show.
  6. I can't believe 5/5 and 1*. Friday's clue I thought that sounded like Moby Dick, a whale, a ... LEVIATHAN! So I lucked into that *.
  7. I very much like Mayim as host, but I'm a fan anyway. She's a favorite character on Big Bang and she's good as herself on other shows, like Match Game. I researched the "thing" she hawks on that commercial and it actually has pretty good reviews. I would buy it, and just might. It's interesting her charity is about mental illness. I thought Buzzy was stellar as host of the tournament. I enjoyed that two weeks. I know I will enjoy this week and next.
  8. So funny, I got the king but not the name of the horse. We should team up!
  9. 3/5. I missed Rossini (I said Verdi, which made no sense in retrospect) and Poland (which was an easy answer in retrospect). I really enjoyed the Tournament, I thought all the champions were, well, champions.
  10. I never saw any commercials but we drove past the Earl Scheib place often and I remember the big sign on the building saying the price. I think someone my family knew got a car painted there and he had to do all the taping and cover the windows himself as the cars were all spray painted in one big shot. At least that's the story I remember.
  11. 4/5 no *. Somehow my mind kept going to Penn and Teller for the two Mason-Dixon guys.
  12. The media picked up on the Bennifer and Montana "coincidence." Bennifer/Montana
  13. I'm excited about the T of C and Buzzy hosting too. I'm expecting lots of energy on the Jeopardy! set today. I hope Buzzy does well, and the champion players, too.
  14. 4/5. I said the same thing as one of the contestants, "Oh, the Places You Will Go." Oh well. I'm not going any place any time soon so I guess it's okay.
  15. The novelty maybe has worn off with less coverage by news programs and less water-cooler chatter, but Jeopardy fans are still watching the show regardless of host. Maybe someone tuned in to see a host they liked or tuned out so they didn't see a host they did not like, but the true fan watches every day, regardless. I agree with the show not naming a permanent replacement in the middle of a season. The guest hosts and donating to charities is a good idea. I doubt any of the guest hosts feel they are less important because they were named later than those named first. If I were named today to guest host, it would be a fabulous feather in my resume cap and I would not turn it down because I was not picked before Ken Jennings. It is still an honor and privilege to that person, considering all the famous people who were NOT chosen as guest host.
  16. 4/5 with 1*. I don't know what it means that I knew Andorra but not Horace Greeley.
  17. I read this so quickly I thought it was Dr. Seuss who caught you.
  18. 5/5 this week. I first thought Dahl for Friday so made a lucky change there to Baum. After this weekend, I could use a whole fifth of something refreshing. Count me in!
  19. Oh no, now it's happening to me! When I opened this window the entire page was taken up by @saber5055 's whole face. No offense intended but it scared me too much to do a screen shot. Then this one from @Good Queen Jane appeared. Now when I start typing someone's screen name, gigantic avatars appear. No names with them, just GIANT avatars, one at a time. @saber5055 Like this one!
  20. 4/5 and two **. I actually did see Django Unchained, I just put it out of my memory obviously.
  21. He got a guest-hosting gig on the show just because of the "outcry," so I'd say yes, there definitely was an outcry. People were wanting LeVar to host. It was not only on SM but on every pop culture tv show I've seen, and certain newscasts. It was regular people who wanted LeVar, he didn't petition for it. Then after the "outcry" kept up, he did say he wanted the gig. While I don't know why people selected him out of millions of others who could guest host, I know he will do well and I'll enjoy watching him. I'm liking all the guest hosts, the change up is fun.
  22. I get used to one host, then it changes again. I like Aaron Rodgers. I think I will like Anderson Cooper too. Add me to the group who has never heard of Joe Buck, except as played by Jon Voight. It would be interesting for a guest host to be a male prostitute though. I don't understand the LeVar Burton buzz, I don't know why people want him to host over everyone else in the world. Nothing against him and I think he would be fine. I just don't know why the outcry.
  23. I see square avatars on Chrome on a PC Windows and have the toolbar at the bottom of the message box. I wonder if the browser version makes a difference. I don't have a hamburger icon and am glad since it would make me hungry.
  24. 5/5 and 1*. It looks like lots of us had good weeks.
  25. I'm famous! Although I'm not sure being famous for being edible is good, but I'll take it. Thanks! 5/5 and 1* this week. I almost missed the South American clue, I said Buenos Aires right away, then said Santiago but switched to Bogota instead. Lucky me! lol, I'm famous and lucky this week!
