I have been rewatcing the early 90's of the show and it is just superb writing by Douglas Marland. I especially love Mary Ellen Stuart as Frannie Hughes. She is just marvelous and she plays a much more assertive Frannie than Julianne Moore who was wonderful as well in the role. Does anybody know why the show decided to have Frannie and Sabrina no longer look alike anymore. I also adored the actress who played Sabrina after Julianne Moore left the role of Sabrina. I wish we had seen more of her during the Douglas Marland era of the show.

Be thankful for that because EJ was a disgusting rapist who used his children with Sami in order to control her. He never loved Sami, he wanted to possess her just like Stefano in regards to Marlena.

I have always said that she transferred her sick obsession with John onto Brady. If Brady had a brain he would see that and stay the hell away from Kristen but he is remedial and will continue to fall for Kristen over and over and over..

I also noticed that she held on firmly to her party's party line no matter what the ladies threw at her. Notice she made sure not to talk smack about Trump. It was obvious the other ladies did not really feel her other than Whoopie with her bizarre invitation to come back.. Sunny was magnificent as always, this is why even though Sunny's cutesy act annoys the hell out of me. However, Sunny is a beast when she is countering somebody's bs like Caitlin Jenner. I really wanted her to question the Vice President last Friday.

She was inconsequential vapid and ignorant as always..

I love your post and I send you cyber hugs over the traumas that you have overcome. Just keep being you and forge your own happiness. People are constantly pressuring women about having children. I hate when people do that to women and as soon as a woman has one child, they start pressuring her to have more kids, like back off! Women are always going to be criticized no matter what. If she remains childless, she is judged, if she has one child another judgment and if she chooses to have lots of kids, they judge her for that too. I wish women were more liberated to be themselves..

Don't forget she has made statements on the show about him that made him sound weak unloving and ineffectual. She once said that she knew it was a mistake marrying him after the first year of marriage. She has said some other slick stuff about him. She has never gone as low as him with him calling her trash recently but Jeannie has not been innocent in all of this drama. Plus, Freddy had trolls trolling him abut her pregnancy and he lost his temper. Freddy's wife has publicly gone after Jeannie saying that if Jeannie does not keep her mouth shut about Freddie then she will spill the tea because unlike Freddy she did not sign an NDA.

Why are you frustrated that she changed her mind? Women are allowed to change their minds. She probably did not want children with Freddy and never wanted that permanent bond with him. She probably wanted children with Jeezy for other reasons but it would be off-topic if I were to list why I think she had a child. Speaking of birth control, I wonder if the birth controls that Adrienne used in the past have affected her fertility..

Yes, they did and their relationship was awful, no chemistry whatsoever. Whereas Stefan and Bobbie sparkled but the show was adamant about remaking the magic between Stayla on General Hospital so the Stefan/Bobbie relationship was jettisoned..

I love your post and it is so true. The first Eric teamed up with Kristen to keep John and Marlena apart so he was not above scheming and lying to get his way. It is why he and Sami worked as twins. He loved Sami but was not above calling her out, it is why he teamed up with Carrie to expose Sami's lies regarding Will's paternity. I loved Eric and Greta, they had potential to be a supercouple, their chemistry was awesome, if only they had a writing team to write for them. I also loved Eric and Nicole but I never saw them as soulmates in their original run. Eric had a bad reaction when he was told that Rojohn was not his father and that he had to go live with his "real" father Roman. For some reason the show never likes to reference John's years as Roman and those were his best years in my opinion. Rojohn was so much better than John who became an idiot in order to fall for Kristen's pregnancy lies.

I am going to be the lone dissenter on here and say that Freddie and his wife have had it with Jeannie talking smack about him, Jeannie's and Freddie's marriage and their divorce for years now. When somebody keeps messing with you, you are going to defend yourself. It is what it is. I doubt Freddie wants Jeannie. I do find it very interesting that Jeezy never married any of his other babies mothers but will marry Jeannie. It does not surprise me at all, I could go further into this but it would be off-topic. Not to take away from Jeannie's happiness about her pregnancy. I feel bad for Adrienne who wants children so bad is having trouble conceiving but Jeannie who has always expressed no interest in children is now having one.

They were talking over each other and I wished the ladies had let her finish her train of thought. I am pretty sure that Sunny who holds conservative views on some issues would like to see them represented in the government, however she does not feel that the Republican party can do that anymore.. They have lost all legitimacy in her eyes. You can be conservative and not be a Republican. Another conservative party can rise in it's wake and I believe that is what Sunny wants..

She was not saying that we need a single party. She was saying that the Republican party is beyond repair and she listed the reasons she holds that opinion. The Republican party used to be the Whig party.. We have had different political parties throughout the nation's history. The Democratic party and the Republican party have changed since the civil war.. They have actually switched ideologies and are no longer the way they used to be.. The Democratic party is currently changing with the progressive Democrats and conservative Democrats not seeing eye to eye anymore on certain issues. They may split up into two distinct parties at some point in the future. Sunny is right when she says there needs to be a reckoning with the Republican party. That does not mean that she wants a single political party.. Joy even said that the republican party is not like the Eisenhower Republicans of the past.

Joy and Sarah were pros and just rolled with the punches. The vibe of the show is just so damn different even with the unexpected chaos of today..

This is why I am glad that he is all alone and unhappy. His son and Olinsky are dead, his grandson is far away from his toxic influence and Erin is far away from him living her best life.

They are still Haitian because they are first generation and they have not integrated into Latin America because they have been facing anti-Blackness and racism in those Latin American countries and this in turn has caused them to live in the shadows filled with poverty unemployment and mistreatment. So they looked to America as a way out. I know a Haitian man who is living in Brazil and it is not good to be Black there. The Blacks in Brazil and other Latin American countries can attest to that.. For some reason people seem to think that anti-Black sentiment is only in America it is sadly all over..

I always assume that soap characters interact with each other even if we don't see them. I remember All My Children in their closing credits in the 80's used to have the characters engaging with each other even if we did not hear what they were saying to each other. Basically the show was telling us the audience that their lives as characters continued offscreen.. I assume that Johnny has seen his nephew.

Two good people can be good together on a soap. Bo/Hope, Roman/Marlena were very good in their original stories. I think Eric needed a heroine to sparkle and not a villainess or an anti-heroine like Nicole..

Sunny is very fair though... I think that she could separate her feelings for the Vice-president and her outrage.

I hope Sunny grills her due to what has been going on at the border..

Sunny's father-in-law was Haitian, Sunny has a French last name: Hostin. She has also been to Haiti many times over the years and her family has property and land over there. So the subject of Haiti is very personal to her..
