  1. I do feel for Albie somewhat, even if I was rolling my eyes a bit at his little Godfather spiel. His dad is the perfect example for him of how not to treat women. He's also purposely putting him between his parents and wanting him to liaison between them because he so badly screwed up already. It's unfair of him to put his son in that position. Cameron is a manipulator and I believe he's using Ethan. Perhaps he sees him as an easy victim. It appears the purpose of the trip was to get at some of the money he's made, but something fishy is definitely going on. I wouldn't be surprised if he and Daphne planned it that way to separate Harper and Ethan.
  2. Especially one who wears weird grandma clothes. Why do I feel like Portia will end up with the other guy and use Albie. She seemed bored with him yet mildly tolerated him because it was a break from having to deal with Tanya, suddenly she's making out with him? I don't buy it. She kept glancing at other guy the whole time. Cameron is definitely dangerous.
  3. Agreed, I hate Harper she is so sanctimonious and hypocritical! But I guess that's the point of the show to troll wealthy people who feel they're much more enlightened yet don't realize their own privilege. I can see it! She and Ethan have practically no chemistry, they may click together but there isn't much there. But also because Daphne seems like the perfect clueless trophy wife that an affair would probably fly right over her head. Someone's definitely going to have an affair with someone.
  4. Now I'm curious about her bio dad since he's clearly not in her life. Does this picture make anyone else feel uncomfortable? I guess the point is to show how hovery the family is 😆
  5. I've noticed that in the show with the really tall girls they do the same thing, with the camera angles emphasizing just how leggy they are. They're really going for the "circus freak" visuals as much as possible.
  6. So far I'm actually finding this season to be a lot funnier than the first, if nothing else. Valentina's "peppa pig" comment and that entire Vespa ride was hilarious. It seems like Valentina is a lot less willing to wait on the guests hand and foot, that's for sure. We've got two couples hanging on by what seems like a thread and another one desperate to keep appearances. It's also hard not to feel a little bad for Tanya. Her husband is definitely using her for the money. A high level BLM job may pay a lot, but even then there are a lot of constraints and he's definitely not worth millions like Tanya. I doubt Aubrey and Ethan will last, calling it now. I find Portia and Albie to very boring, sorry. I see with Dominic's character they are playing up to the (very real) stereotype of a sex addicted hollywood guy. Letting the two local girls in isn't going to end well at all though.
  7. Her hair does make her look a lot older this season. I think she's going to grow into herself, she just has to work on her vocals and confidence in public and people will stop thinking she's 8 and realize she's just another little person. It's a good think she met someone with a similar condition who's independent and has a career of his own. The show is overly scripted though, you can tell during their date. The dad and sister shouldn't have been there on the first date. She is 22 after all, I can understand her needing a ride but why does she need to be chaperoned? Sorry but I can already tell Rylee(??that's how you spell it right?) is going to be annoying this season, she got a little taste of fame and it definitely shows. Although she's a very sheltered 19 year old so I guess I'll give her some slack. I've wondered about that too. The show must be paying for the house, I suspect in their contract they agreed to a certain number of seasons. Others have said she only makes about $5K per episode but I suspect it's a little more than that, I'm thinking she makes at least 10-15K. I know the Sister Wives get paid a lot more than that per episode.
  8. She also seems less petty than Armond from last season, but she's also a fierce taskmaster. I wonder if the hotel has past incidents, seeing as the body* in the water didn't faze her until she realized how many there were. I think there's a lot of gaslighting going on. One episode in and their relationship already seems toxic. Presumably they haven't been married more than a year since they met and he seems over her.
  9. Tanya is just as obnoxious this season as she was the last, and of course she'd have an assistant. That poor girl is more like a personal servant than assistant anyway, because the husband is right, who brings an assistant with them on vacation? The grandpa/father/son trio are pretty funny and entertaining to watch. So one couple thinks they're clearly better than the other because they're "in tuned" to the news and social issues, apparently, but I'm sensing there's maybe some underlying jealousy because they're wealthier? A lot of snarky comments about their wealth. But clearly they can afford lavish vacations too and have plenty in the bank. Who do we think murders who? I'm guessing something must happen with the hotel's sex worker and her friend. The heads are also very creepy.
  10. I have some family in PA and none of them talk like her. She has an obvious speech impediment, you can really hear it in the trailer for the new season, she says "I got stuck at thwee foot ten inches." Which is actually pretty hilarious Yes, I agree on the pitch. She should really see a speech therapist and take voice training. I think that would make her feel a lot more confident in herself as well. I have a feeling this season is just going to more of the same ridiculous situations anyway. Shauna in a snarky tone: "I'm actually 22." "You're 22?" *Surprised Pikachu* Cuts to interview. "Wow, when she walked in I was sure she was about eight." Scenes of Shauna talking about how super duper grown-up she is. Scenes of Shauna's awkward younger sister. Scenes of Shauna reaching for something/trying to do something but she's too short/small. Scenes of Shauna's mom suffocating her. It doesn't look like it was even filmed six months after the first so I guess TLC will be milking this family like they did the Jennings and Busbys. I'd be curious to see if she does actually move out but I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon. Hopefully the mom calms down a bit though. There's way too much codependency going on.
  11. I don't know if I can handle another season of this weird show, but I'll be watching it nonetheless
  12. The fact that she's 22/23 and still can't properly pronounce her r's definitely isn't helping her appear older
  13. I saw on another forum she has her learner's permit now, which is at least a step towards independence.
  14. The brother is interesting and adds another layer to Harper's often toxic personality. Clearly they've both been damaged by their narcissistic mother - but we haven't actually learned anything about their upbringing, other than that he was an athlete who was pushed to his breaking point. Plus that one phone call last season.
  15. Glad this documentary is brining attention to the evils of the injustice system. Anthony shouldn't have been charged with anything. He seems to be doing well today, though, considering everything.
  16. I don't know if anyone here has mentioned this already, and I'm really not trying to diagnose because I know it can be way overdiagnosed and I don't actually know her, but IMO from what I've seen on the show Aparana has a lot of qualities of someone on the ASD. Mainly in the brusque/abrasive way she speaks and the fact that she seems to have very little self-awareness (literally yawning and rolling her eyes during the date), many people with ASD come off as rude when really they can't read the room that well. She also has no interest in humor because she doesn't "get" it per se and she's incredibly particular about a lot of things. There's a common misconception that people on the spectrum aren't highly successful -she's obviously very high-functioning and has made a lot of wealth for herself. I could be very off base, but it would make so much sense. Or, she is just playing it up and has a very dry sense of humor
  17. Anyone else think the girl playing Harper looks really, erm, young? I think she's meant to be at least 24, but she legit looks like a 14 year old to me.
  18. There was too much tired political satire this season. It took me out of the actual plot. I hope there is one final season to this, that's all.
  19. I think they tried to tie it all up a little too quickly. The majority of the 2+ hour long episode was very much focused on the battle, the ending felt a little too quick. There was no build up to Hopper/El reuniting. He's gay in the completely stereotypical teenage boy sense, he's artsy, he's overly sensitive/emotional, has no interest in girls. But S3 Will could just as easily pass for asexual in the last season IMO. I think it's obvious Will cares for Mike even though it was subtle I still didn't see much of an indication he had a crush on him. Other than the short exchange with Jonathan.
  20. I agree. The cast is getting too big, tbh I'm surprised they didn't kill off more than just Eddie but you just know audiences would throw a massive fit if it was Steve or Hopper. Nancy continues to annoy me but there's too much with her and Steve still. Jonathan was a big meh for me this season, I wouldn't have minded if he had been killed off. I didn't mind how long it was, it made it less easy to binge because I treated each episode like watching a movie. This season didn't quite do it for me like the first one but it defintely tops the last two.
  21. Are the residents of Hawkins really that daft? Massive cracks appear throughout the town with lava, whole buildings are destroyed, strange smoke appears and they say it's a 7.5 earthquake? I guess they're just going off the "weird things happen in Hawkins" and no one questions that this? I knew Eddie would likely be scarified but that was brutal. RIP Eddie, you became my favorite character next to Steve.
  22. It's not obvious or at least it's not meant to be. Really people went running with it because Noah Schnapp alluded to it in an interview. He kills just about every scene he's in. His acting is fantastic, it's so raw
  23. Owens made a big mistake teaming up with Brenner. El's coma explains her manner of speaking. She lost all her memories and had to learn everything again after banishing One to the Upside Down. Will's drawing also did not disappoint.
  24. Honestly Homelander is the only reason I still watch this show. He's on fire this season
  25. Anyone see this? https://pop.inquirer.net/328289/avatar-the-last-airbender-live-action-sets-a-guinness-world-record
