Stanley could probably make a lot more money if he acted as a real agent, but for Ma Petite, rather than Elsa, especially if he made the contract totally unfair. Maybe start with an appearance on I've Got A Secret for the publicity, before moving on to B movies. When her career is played out, the museum would probably be willing to hire her, with a bonus if they get her body after she dies.

Raj left out the fact that the "hookup" came to a premature end, but it was enough for Emily that they were in bed together naked.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
LoneHaranguer replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
No, it would have detracted from the narrative flow. They were already showing you the "Lucille" on the guitar so that they didn't have to work anything into the script, and whether it was real didn't matter to the point of the ad, so why clutter things up with details? -
I thought Anita started off weak and made a hash of the end. I presume she screwed up and improvised something. If she meant to go off track, maybe to show what she could really do, she should have chosen another song instead.

Josh pretty much admitted that it was giving him an advantage in the way he denied that was why he was doing it. He's often insulted other contestants for not being willing to exploit any available opportunity to win, but in this case he was crossing a legal boundary, so I think that qualifies as cheating. The judges may not have cared since he was such a favorite of theirs, but the wrong person found out. I suspect most, if not all, of the scenes relating to the issue were staged to explain why he was being bounced.

People counterfeit just about everything that could be of value and if you find something like that in a storage locker it's more likely than not it'll be fake (unless you're a cast member of Storage Wars or some other such show). -
Besides that, the chances of it working were low anyway (enough so that the doc didn't worry about inseminating the wrong woman), so the court is not going to give much weight to any claim by Petra of losing out.

Sounds to me like she put some clues together and thinks it was Amy, but is looking for Liam to say that it wasn't.

Casting would be crucial, but I think there would be scenarios where a female Doctor would be at a disadvantage. If dropped into a society where women are subservient, Missy can just kill a few people to get respect; the Doctor doesn't work that way. Have there ever been any stories where the Doctor finds himself where men are subservient and his usual take-charge methods don't work?

She's not the biological mother of the child, Jane is, so Petra has no rights. Divorce means she won't be gaining any rights via adoption.

That wouldn't bring forth the line of intellectually superior benign overlords Sheldon mentioned in The Robotic Manipulation. When things get to that point of producing them, I fully expect there to be a coital amendment to the relationship agreement.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage

I didn't get that story from the ad at all. It seemed more like a naive woman finding something that never really belonged to BBK but he was nice enough to sign it. Good luck trying to prove that the ad has any real value in selling cars, but I'm sure the guy's lawyer is just fishing for a settlement. -
When it comes to what kind of guy she was hoping to wind up with, Leonard is as much him as pharmaceutical sales is to her dream for a career. In both cases she has recognized reality, but it's going to take a while to really appreciate what she has.

Or that she had the magical Gallifreyan technology programmed to bring her back if anything happened. Maybe even into a clone of the same body if they want to use the same actress again. JMHO, but the Doctor's reaction when he went to Gallifrey's coordinates seemed more consistent with finding a destroyed Gallifrey than no Gallifrey.

I couldn't believe such clunky writing made it on screen. It should have at least been split, perhaps saying just "I'm having a wonderful time at <name of school>", and the response being to ask what/where that was or saying something like "oh yes, your mother said were going to school in NY".

Penny/Kaley Cuoco: What IS Her Last Name?
LoneHaranguer replied to Lisin's topic in The Big Bang Theory [V]
I don't think anyone was looking for more than just a little success. It was past time for her character to advance. That could have been cheesy get-ups in local ads (like Kelly Bundy as the Verminator). -
I think it was awesome that Sheldon was able to see where she was going and respond. He's usually unbelievably dumb about such things for the sake of a joke. It wouldn't have been appropriate until she was declared Prom Queen, which she probably could have prevailed on the others to do if she hadn't gotten sidetracked.

Injecting the poison means that he can leave some of the cupcakes safe in case he has to eat one of them himself. Although, I agree with Valny that looking cool on screen was probably the real reason.

The quick shot of fake-Hollywood-agent made me think that he may have had a hand in that. If he bribed a few members of the audience, others would have joined in. No, just that you need to match the tub to the kind of acid you're using, unless you don't care about ruining the tub and anything around or under it. I wish there was more to the title cupcakes than being a murder weapon and an obvious looks-can-be-deceiving metaphor.

Capsaicin (the active ingredient) doesn't cause chemical burns. It's an irritant that causes pain, inflammation, and other symptoms, both negative and positive. The body's senses generally work on a non-linear scale, so a really big Scoville number is mostly hype. Customers will certainly regret eating one of those sandwiches, but it's not going to bring about a successful lawsuit.

If you consider that the Troubles are William and Mara's idea of fun, that makes total sense. What fun would it be if Nathan was laid up most of the time or died too soon?

It doesn't help that Karma really doesn't have many other friends. If she loses Amy, is Irma going to be her new bestie?

Was that before or after the feds passed a law prohibiting the filming of sexual activity with someone under 18? I recall reading in a legal column that the law used to be that if the activity was legal under local law, it was legal to film. -
So what story do you hear when you listen to "99 Luftballoons"? Since it was the German version that was popular, most people have no idea what story the lyrics were actually telling, and I don't think you can get it from the sound.

The rule of thumb for walking/running is "calories = (your weight) times (distance in miles)", so not eating is a much more efficient way of losing weight, but there's a limit to how far you can take that, and it means that the contestants have to rely on exercise to get the big numbers needed to stay in the competition.
